I'm based in Melbourne and have been into the car scene for 20 years now, I've seen drifting come and go I've seen Silvia's and skylines go from being worth $40k down to $4k and now back up to $40k for a Rough example, I sold new cars for Nissan for 14 years and its safe to say I have NISSAN BLOOD running through my veins yet here I am being unable to afford the cars I once had which has turned me to becoming a "HONDA BOI" I have to say they are great cars I love learning about them and lets face it value for money they are ridiculously fast!

@@TURBOTRISTO hell yeah. I tried setting it up but it seems the end link that connects to my lca doesn't have the bolts required? I'm probably doing something wrong LOL
@@nathando413 if you have a civic base model hatch you need sedan or em1 lcas
@@TURBOTRISTO now that makes sense LOL. Would I need to hand tight certain bolts for the rear sway bar while it's up in the air then tighten them properly when it's months ground?

I got a rear sway bar from a integra for my 96 civic, when I went to install it I realized that the person who had it before me redone the exhaust and removed the up and over the control arm pipe and ran it straight blocking where the sway bar needs to be at. Also the control arm is bumping the exhaust pipe.
thats exactly what happened to me so i had to modify it not the end of the world sway bars are the best

Your jack stands can go a lot more higher then that mate, I saw u had it on its lowest point ..... ek looking good, I need those sway bars for my em1

So did these cars not come with factory rear sway bars? Cause I noticed mine didn’t have one and I thought I was crazy😂 so I bought one
No they never did unless it’s a ek4 ek1 gli and sir or type r ones
Most didn’t have front sway bars either
Shame about the exhaust. Can’t wait to hear how it handles around the track next time you’re out.
Justin Tyme I will fix the exhaust shouldn’t be an issue , I can’t wait to get in on the track with grip and boost

Hey, I just installed the same bars on my ek, but I have trouble with the front links. It's like the right one broke, u use special ones? I bought Tegiwa links for the front sway bar. If you can help ^^'
Hmm should all fit up unless your lower control arms are from a car that didn’t have a front sway bar?
@@TURBOTRISTO thx for your answer, I had a sway bar, I drive an EK4. The problem was the driveshaft :'(
Do you need to follow any torque nm when tightening the any bolts?
Not really, just tight
What kind of front lower control arms are you running? Trying to figure out what sway bars with work with the k-tuned front LCAs for an Ek. I see that the whiteline control arms mounting points sit vertical not horizontal
G’day Ray, my car currently has all of the standard factory LCA’s I agree the sway bar links are a little out of align meant I’m unsure what the solution is
@@TURBOTRISTO interesting! Appreciate the response Tristan! The EX/HX 96-00 civics here in the states have a different swaybar mounting design on the front LCAs. Your’s looks more like the 99-00 SI stock control arms. Which is sweet. Good stuff tho, you have the only video up, that I could find, of installing the whiteline front sway bar so thanks for forging the path!

so i wanna install a front sway bar on my EK civic cli thing, I got the whiteline bar but I am stuffed to know what else i need cause I know they different.
You need sedan or em1 or ek4 front lcas and the sway bar mounts and links

I have these sway bars on the way. Do the OEM rear LCA have the holes for the links? Or do I need new arms to fit the rear
The rears are ready to go but if you have a hatch you need sedan or ek4 lcas

the rears are fine its only the front lca that needs to be changed
@TURBOTRISTAN thanks mate. I ended up getting a whole heap of hardrace stuff anyway so replacing both arms :)
was it hard to take out the gear linkages??
No mate just two 12mm bolts

@@djvisuals4887 yes just two bolts per section of exhaust you are changing I have another video installing a rear muffler check it out

Front or rear? Or do you mean the bushes? Into the links
Yeah I had the swap the bushes. Ended up using the long bolts and big washers to squeeze the bushings into the links
How much did it cost you to get the muffler fabricated?
