  • In this video I replace the old sway bar and end link bushings with new polyurethane ones. This is the first of at least 2 videos involving replacing the bushings on the front end. I will also be replacing all the control arm and shock mount bushings.
    Check out the other work I have done to my EJ1 in the playlist.

      I REALLY appreciate that! I'm glad they were helpful. I love this stuff. But most people in my life have no interest in it. So comments like yours mean a lot to me. It's like I'm not alone when I'm in the garage working. Good luck with your car!

    7:34 I snap the cap bolt head off on my anti sway bar bracket. It’s the rear bolt on the passenger side. On my 2000 civic, it doesn’t have a stud. It has x2, 12mm cap bolts…
    I’ve been using an extractor set to try to remove it but no luck.
    I’m glad yours came off easy!
    I recommend using a penetrating oil 24 hours before removing bolts, especially if the car comes from the rust belt..
    PS-I broke it before I watched the video, and I’m not blaming anyone but myself! 😊

    FYI those sawbar bushing brackets have an arrow and the letters FR on the top side of the bracket to let you know witch way to install it. Arrow to the front

    Does it require to disconnect the exhaust and shifter linkages if you were to install a sway bar from scratch (like your car didn't come up equipped with one, you add it from another car)? Thanks

    • @MaqsVids
      @MaqsVids  2 года назад

      Hey! I am not sure. I have not done it (yet ;) ) But, based on my car, it seems like I would have to remove the exhaust and linkages. If you are about to do it, Good luck!
