- Today we install some PLM traction bars on my 1997 civic project! Very straight forward! Highly recommend this mod for your high hp Honda or Acura! Especially for racing!

huge difference. no more crazy body roll
? There shouldn’t be much body roll difference, but more so wheel hop and caster control for traction🤙
Those bushings are called heim joints!!
Thank you 👍
Stumbled across this channel and had to subscribe. Chill vibes for sure. Cool Civic
Link to the exact traction bar? Want one for my EG
Thank you 😁

very informative. I just purchased the same kit for my ek hatchback. Going to throw it on as soon as I get a tucked radiator.
Thanks! Very worthwhile mods!
@@kraftingkars I forgot how much of a pain ekk1 kswap mounts are lol😮💨😮💨
Great vid I have brand new haven't installed it yet but I will prob today
Thank you! Hope the install goes smooth and you can enjoy those performance gainz!!!
@@kraftingkars yes sir I hope so to
This was a simple install thanks to you video I definitely need to go get an alignment though I hope this gets rid of what little will have I have!! Just found this channel so you just picked up a new subscriber! An your car is bad ass🔥💪
Hey Man I appreciate it! We've come along way since this video, stay tuned!
@@kraftingkars definitely didn't get in line yet but I just launched my car and it is way better!! I have an eg hatch that is kswap so this was need thanks for the install vid once again! If you're curious about my car check out a friend of mines youtube channel kai dc2 in one his latest videos I race a supercharged S2000 in my hatch til next vid take care bro💪
This was very helpful! I will probably do this very soon :) Did you manage to find an alignment place that will actually work WITH you (as in, you can explain how the traction bar works and they will listen, and factor it in to their adjustments, same for aftermarket adjustable suspension, etc)?
I did, I'll be going there this Monday! The shop is called j.w.p automotive. I've tried regular alignment shops in the past and was not impressed
Good stuff my dood
Thanks man!
Good info. Will order one for my teggy
Go with the truhart instead. Trust me
@@kraftingkars thanks bro. Appreciate it
Did you use the same bolts that were on your front lower control arm that you bolted down the brackets for the tie rods? Or did you source longer bolts to accommodate for the height of the added brackets?
Hello again… If you read this, please let me know how your traction bar installation turned out and what your experiences were with different adjustments. Appreciate it.
This bar works pretty well. I do recommend spending the extra money on a truhart one for hard driving. The hardware with this kit doesn't fit snug and bends easy. And you'll hear it popping when you drive. No complaints with the truhart traction bar, however it's twice the price
@@kraftingkarshow about the hard race brand?
Appreciate this!
Thank you! I love the product!
nice, will be ordering mine soon. What intercooler are you running?
This is a backdoor style intercooler designed for an fc rx7, made by CX racing!
How's your front traction bar holding up? I'm looking for a front traction bar rhat'll clear my H22 swap. I was wondering if PLM will clear the driver side.
Holding up just fine and was super helpful with setting up my alignment
Is there a reason you didn't install the control arm side spherical through bolts with the nut on the bottom?
You can do it however you want
@KraftingKars are you running an eg/dc2 subframe on your EK chassis?
Basically, it's the tubular version of the eg/dc2 subframe made by FCS
@@kraftingkars OK thanks man
I have a civic ek4 sedan. Im planning to install a traction bar in front, because im going for a circuit car trackday build daily car. What are the pros and cons?
So far only pros, make sure you get a quality one if you want to be able to daily and track it, the PLM one is decent but I really like my Truheart one I run now. Less wheel hop, better caster control. Car tracks much straighter
@@kraftingkars thank you sir.
What is the size of bolts you got from Ace hardware?
M10x1.25 by 25mm
@@kraftingkars thank you
what up!
Whattup! We upload every Tuesday!!! Todays video is gonna be about my latest trip to the dyno, and braking my axle on the way home!
I don't know if you've seen this vid yet, but here is me sharing my experience with that joe spec alignment! ruclips.net/video/lOOg3SmuxyY/видео.html
Update?
I ended up upgrading to the truhart traction bar, the hardware and build quality is much better. But it is twice the price
