You have to remember that you just made the entire tack louder by a couple of dB which gives the perception of "Instant Energy". It's a great tip that a lot of people use through compression in the mastering phase. If you want to know if a track has improved with a plugin, match the gains before and after... louder will always sound "better"
Hey, do you have a video just using stock plugs (eq, compressor, etc.) that can help you get a good/decent mix or mastering sound? ONLY stocks though.....
Yeah. I appreciate the visual layout of it, as I'm more of a visual person and it seems to have a nice color to it all around. I've been checking out the transXwide and the TransXMulti and haven't mastered how to fully take advantage of it, but certainly drawing those transients from a bus and mixing it back in makes for a nice punch. Ive even used the transxwide on vocal tracks, which helps pull things forward. Either way this Smackattack plugin is fantastic. Thanks again for the advice on these things. I'm sure your vids are bringing people out of the dark ages, bringing forth more colorful music.

Love the concept! Really fits the genre. The volume increased a little bit obviously making it sound better psychoacoustically but I feel the crack of the drums and the vocals "bite" a bit harder for sure. Well done!

Laptop Legends Transient shapers work best on kicks and snares depending on the source/sample if you want to control the attack and sustain to make it more punchy or snappy, but I would highly recommend NOT using it on the master bus. It’s actually extremely bad advice to suggest doing so. An example of when you would want to use it on a kick for example would be if your kick has too long of a sustain and the tail is colliding with the 808 or bass causing phase issues, then you might want to control the attack and sustain to bring out the attack and take out a bit of sustain to make it sit better with the 808 in the mix. So in a way it is adding energy by just cleaning things up and adding more punch and snap, but it’s not always the right thing to do every time. Like I said, it all depends on the samples you’re using. If you’re using a really punchy/snappy snare or kick sample then a transient shaper won’t be needed. Just like how if you use a sample of a 808 that’s already really heavily processed and distorted, then you probably shouldn’t compress or distort it even more. Adding something that’s already there is NEVER a good idea.

Yea man panning aint that hard and u can watch any video about it for beats but for vocals the Lead vocals always in the middle unless u wanna do something abnormal then u can automate it to go left and right a bit but for background vocals whabi do is have background vocals one on the max right and one max left and i either record two back track or i record one and duplicate it

DON'T use headphones for mixing... It never ends well. Use it for an additional reference tho; A lot of people listen through headphones, so it's necessary to make sure that your mix translates well to as many devices and scenarios as possible.
To be honest i feel like it is about how you want it but an producer for steview wonder said that if u want real sojnding drums u put the Hihats on the left a bit and snare aswell but a little bit less and the kick in the middle crashes little to the left or right depends where u want it.. and tombs on thr right but just by panning drums i feel lime the knstruments sounds perfect in the middle since u freed up some room

For some reason I like listening to my song better with the vocal sounding inside the beat and not over the beat and I like the natural vocal sound so I’m scared to use reverb because it don’t sound the same after but I can hear the room i recorded in the Vocs and I don’t want that.what would u do to fix the room but keep the Vocs sounding natural?
Best suggestion…try spend more time doing subtractive EQing…remove all the bad frequencies out of the vocals b4 u start boasting and maybe lil short plate reverb
