You're the truth bruh! You're literally making me an engineer! The way you take your time to explain everything is priceless. What makes it better is your incredible at what you do. You stay-up on the newest things & gives us the short-cuts. Expensive info for free, much appreciated!!
This is why I spend so much time on my reverb. I've been subbed to this channel for a long time when you were just an artist. Salute for how you've grown the channel man.
those vocal recordings are like an engineers wet dream. So clean and so dry at the same time. people dream of mixing vocals that clean. Devon is easily one of the most under appreciated talents in the industry, and i say talent, because he's so much more than just an "artist"
Man, After every tutorial I just can't help but to smile and giggle thinking about all the new gems I just learned and how I'm going to implement them into my next song. Thanks for really helping us out here make our music sound professional and exciting. However much money you're making, you deserve it!
A video worth watching, thanks Devvon! I wish senior FoH engineers on the the different forums were more forthcoming in regards to this topic. If it wasn't for this video, i would still be mindlessly messing with the feedback or decay to get the right sound.
Thanks man !! Small details ...loved that line you said I use these to create the digital sounds to feel acoustic ! That's great because in ITB production some genres need that but making them come alive is something that these small details in the ITB production can do ( especially when we don't have a dedicated studio/instrument) ! Small details thank you 👍🏻
This is the video i have searched for so long! thank you very very much man. your such a sympathic guy and add true value in the video! thank you soo much haha
This was super helpful! Your mix sounds really good too so it's a huge encouragement to see that we can still make pro recordings from home! It is very inspirational! Thanks! :D
I'm late to the party with your channel but I think you have a brilliant sound. I love how you are not shy in using reverb. Yes brother !!!!!!!!!! bringing REVERB back :) keep producing I love your style my man. So chilled and so easy on the ear I love it.
Just found your channel and I'm loving it. Sometimes people have helpful tutorials, but their music is trash so its kind of hard to take any information away. You give out great information while keeping it entertaining AND this shit bangs lol. Keep it up.
Man this year I'm studying mix master material very intensively. And I have to say, your tutorials are B E S T. One personal reason - even "dumber" persons like me get it and results are great ;DD
Dope video, would like to point out the example-explanation volume ratio you are doing, the examples are really clear but the volume really differs from your talking voice Thanks for the content!
i have been watching your tutorial about mixing my own song at home and home i really understand about mixing and also know what am doing when mixing...but before then(scratch) i just watch other tutorials without getting it better so i copy and paste what i see on my vocals
Thanks for this. A question I have is why do you need three different plugins for what you are trying to achieve, why couldn't you do all three types of reverb using one plugin?
Very helpful video! could you do the same for delay? for example H-Delay and show different styles and tricks and how to adjust the delay if the flow of the vocalist changes through out his verse...
Great examples D, Chambers are of course - room reverbs really, since they are rooms, but rooms as we understand them as algorithms are a different vibe to chambers. Why do you use Chambers as opposed to rooms? To me, chambers are a bit snappier, more mid-rangey, more intense energy wise. Rooms can be just as intense, depending on how they are setup, but perhaps more often they are more transparent than chambers...so use chambers for a more obvious energy push perhaps? What do you think?
Great video ! Could you let me know or make a video on the best decibel range for recording vocals, especially rap ? I hear a lot of different opinions on the internet, so I'm not sure what are the right settings.
PLEASE USE HEADPHONES OR STUDIO MONITORS TO HEAR THIS PROPERLY
Do u use pc or Mac
I doubt any uses pc anymore

This is why I spend so much time on my reverb. I've been subbed to this channel for a long time when you were just an artist. Salute for how you've grown the channel man.
I've been messy using reverb. This is so helpful. Thank you! Literally taking notes on paper the entire video.
those vocal recordings are like an engineers wet dream. So clean and so dry at the same time. people dream of mixing vocals that clean. Devon is easily one of the most under appreciated talents in the industry, and i say talent, because he's so much more than just an "artist"
Reverb is like bass, you don't notice it when it's there but something's missing when you remove it.
You wouldn't notice bass?!
00pppppp

What about sidechaing reverb ? Do you do that with every reverb ?
Sidechaining*
Great video!
Thanks for this. A question I have is why do you need three different plugins for what you are trying to achieve, why couldn't you do all three types of reverb using one plugin?
Heard this on ur soundcloud, the drop is 🔥🔥🔥
Nice song tho❤
Wow! Are you in New York you are so dope as an artist too 👌
Grand information family, your music sound damn good. You got a new subscriber. I am Mc, learning myself i needed this info.

Very helpful video! could you do the same for delay? for example H-Delay and show different styles and tricks and how to adjust the delay if the flow of the vocalist changes through out his verse...
Very good song. And thanks.

Are you sending the plate verb to a bus or putting it directly on the vocal?
Nice Candles.
Amazing video brotha! I actually just did a cover of one of your cover songs
Just found out that I'm buggin', but not after today! Thanks for the education!
Do you mix for other musicians? If so what do you charge per song? Serious inquiry
Sup bro thanks for the tutorial! Have a beautiful day my man! ✌🏾
Hi devvon! Do u calculate small reverb too? And do u recommend sidechain to reverbs?
Pd: thanks for all this tutorials!
Do you have tutorials on different types of delays?
Sick video. Great info 🙌
devvon make video on how to create separation on vocals and the beat for r&b type song.love your work
Gotcha im on it!
So besides the hall verb, are you using the chamber and the plate for the vocal throughout the whole song?
Excelentes video tutoriales saludos desde Colombia 🔥🔥🔥✳️
Hero 🔥🔥🔥rawe 🔥🔥🔥
Great video ! Could you let me know or make a video on the best decibel range for recording vocals, especially rap ? I hear a lot of different opinions on the internet, so I'm not sure what are the right settings.
WOW THANKS A LOT FOR THIS MAN REALLY APPRECIATE
what mic are you using for your songs
What about rap vocals where there's pretty much no pause between phrases? Seems like even 1 second decay would be too long
good job bro
Hey did you have the plate and hall verb on the same vocal ?
great advice
Helpful
How do you determine the specifics on timing of reverbs chambers ?
He made a separate video called how to get the perfect reverb every time. Even though he used the wrong numbers , the method he teaches is correct
Yes check out my reverbs time video
im suprised you didnt low cut the hall verb... wouldnt it be less muddy?
so should l bus the reverb?
one bus with the short reverb and another bus with the longer and bigger reverb?
Is there a bundle where I can buy all those reverbs together
im new to pro tools, what button you press to bypass plugin?
Do you guys using reverb on those trap kicks which sound very dry ?
