Devvon is actually a talented artist as well as an engineer don’t sleep on this guy
Yeah he's talented
@@ABM_Elijah Yep and a brilliant presenter of these vids...
Facts
@Choochoo choo in the very beginning of the video he clearly said this is his song.
I don’t see a link for his music …
Reverb is like bass, you don't notice it when it's there but something's missing when you remove it.
You wouldn't notice bass?!
00pppppp
You're the truth bruh! You're literally making me an engineer! The way you take your time to explain everything is priceless. What makes it better is your incredible at what you do. You stay-up on the newest things & gives us the short-cuts. Expensive info for free, much appreciated!!
Rob Oneal no doubt yo glad to help!!
those vocal recordings are like an engineers wet dream. So clean and so dry at the same time. people dream of mixing vocals that clean. Devon is easily one of the most under appreciated talents in the industry, and i say talent, because he's so much more than just an "artist"
This is why I spend so much time on my reverb. I've been subbed to this channel for a long time when you were just an artist. Salute for how you've grown the channel man.
I've been messy using reverb. This is so helpful. Thank you! Literally taking notes on paper the entire video.
Devvon just don't forget the small ppl like myself when yuh bust bigg🇹🇹🇹🇹💯🙏..Talented Producer and also singer... Learning alot from you
Man, After every tutorial I just can't help but to smile and giggle thinking about all the new gems I just learned and how I'm going to implement them into my next song. Thanks for really helping us out here make our music sound professional and exciting. However much money you're making, you deserve it!
This ‘boutta be a Gem for me, bruhhh... I NEEDED this typa tutorial to go wit yo first one about reverb timin’... Respect, broskie💪🏼.
Thanks Devon, you are making an impact in Jamaica
Dude, you're the reason I didn't give up on becoming an engineer. Brazil ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thanks man !! Small details ...loved that line you said I use these to create the digital sounds to feel acoustic ! That's great because in ITB production some genres need that but making them come alive is something that these small details in the ITB production can do ( especially when we don't have a dedicated studio/instrument) ! Small details thank you 👍🏻
You are my new favorite RUclips channel, thank you so much for all the help and some amazing tips
MANNNN i have watched several videos from you and you are a great teacher very dope presentation genuine love for music!!!
A video worth watching, thanks Devvon! I wish senior FoH engineers on the the different forums were more forthcoming in regards to this topic. If it wasn't for this video, i would still be mindlessly messing with the feedback or decay to get the right sound.
I really enjoy how this dude teach man, you can feel that he's really enjoying what's he's doing. You're great boy. 🔥 I learned a lot from you!!!
Finally a dude producing R@B that has some really good info. Everything seems to be about producing and mixing rock. Thanks
Always great stuff in a fresh new light . Thanks man !
I definitely need this! I’m lazy as hell with reverbs😂
same
This is the video i have searched for so long! thank you very very much man. your such a sympathic guy and add true value in the video! thank you soo much haha
Just found your channel and I'm loving it. Sometimes people have helpful tutorials, but their music is trash so its kind of hard to take any information away. You give out great information while keeping it entertaining AND this shit bangs lol. Keep it up.
I'm late to the party with your channel but I think you have a brilliant sound. I love how you are not shy in using reverb. Yes brother !!!!!!!!!! bringing REVERB back :) keep producing I love your style my man. So chilled and so easy on the ear I love it.
I play guitar and this helped me understand a little better than a guitarist telling me. Thank you!
This was super helpful! Your mix sounds really good too so it's a huge encouragement to see that we can still make pro recordings from home! It is very inspirational! Thanks! :D
This guy is simple, fast and awesome! Thanks Devvon!
I really like this dude. Thanks for sharing quality info in such a digestible way. Cheers!
Such a strapping young fella. Good work.

Only just found your channel dude... Ridiculously good content, very well done my man
i have been watching your tutorial about mixing my own song at home and home i really understand about mixing and also know what am doing when mixing...but before then(scratch) i just watch other tutorials without getting it better so i copy and paste what i see on my vocals
mans is very thorough, great as always
Finally know what short verb is in all these videos 😩thx
Excellent work devvon 🔥🔥
You’re a great teacher btw. I appreciate your approach a lot

Thank you duuude, you're such a nice guy!! Well explained!!!
Dope video. Some valuable gems here.
This was very helpful, thanks!!
Very helpful video! could you do the same for delay? for example H-Delay and show different styles and tricks and how to adjust the delay if the flow of the vocalist changes through out his verse...
Heard this on ur soundcloud, the drop is 🔥🔥🔥

This is a big help thanks bro. 😊💯
Just getting into beats, the breakdown was really helpful
Great video ! Could you let me know or make a video on the best decibel range for recording vocals, especially rap ? I hear a lot of different opinions on the internet, so I'm not sure what are the right settings.
Oh my god just yesterday I was asking myself this question no cap. This is right on time. 😳🔥
Glad i could help!!
same! So crazy!
I love your channel!!! Keep it up.
Great teaching!
Excellent video. You are good teacher!
Grand information family, your music sound damn good. You got a new subscriber. I am Mc, learning myself i needed this info.

You are awesome man, thank you:)
Sup bro thanks for the tutorial! Have a beautiful day my man! ✌🏾
Truly truly helpful! Dope video brother
Hey devvon Im having trouble with picking the right attack and release times for my rap and r&b vocals.
Please explain to me how compression works and a rap or r&b situation.
Thanks for this. A question I have is why do you need three different plugins for what you are trying to achieve, why couldn't you do all three types of reverb using one plugin?
Sick video. Great info 🙌
I never knew this, that's lit. I do love Arena verb it's something about idk I just do
thank you so much for making a video I asked you to a few videos ago ♥
Thank you Devvon
I have learnt alot from you bro
Keep the good work on man
Do you have a tutorial for the best way of applying reverb, whether it be directly to the track or bussing, and what the difference is?
I've watched all of your videos bro and you're definitely one of the best on youtube! THANK you for what you do! You're a genius my man!
Very good song. And thanks.
Great info 😍
Great Video as always my boy! Could you breakdown your newest songs on Spotify? Thank you bro
great advice
Great video but do you use all of these reverbs at the same time like for example the plate and the hall? And also do you put certain ones on sends and certain ones straight on the insert?
WOW THANKS A LOT FOR THIS MAN REALLY APPRECIATE
Just found out that I'm buggin', but not after today! Thanks for the education!
Hello devvon!
we need a video on creating space around the vocals with delays instead of reverb using the stock delay plugins in protools
i will be releasing that video today plus some tricks
ruclips.net/video/xtvhRJOJ1DE/видео.html there you go bro check it out
Great examples D, Chambers are of course - room reverbs really, since they are rooms, but rooms as we understand them as algorithms are a different vibe to chambers. Why do you use Chambers as opposed to rooms? To me, chambers are a bit snappier, more mid-rangey, more intense energy wise. Rooms can be just as intense, depending on how they are setup, but perhaps more often they are more transparent than chambers...so use chambers for a more obvious energy push perhaps? What do you think?
Excelentes video tutoriales saludos desde Colombia 🔥🔥🔥✳️
Dope video, would like to point out the example-explanation volume ratio you are doing, the examples are really clear but the volume really differs from your talking voice
Thanks for the content!
just realized this video is from 2019. nvm
Hey did you have the plate and hall verb on the same vocal ?
good job bro
I'm looking for advice on long reverb and sometimes I got fantastic results but right now I created long relaxing Drone and I have a lots of noise in reverb. I have bean making those types of textures very successful and I my self have upside down moments where I don't understand why long reverb is sounding amazing on speakers but on the headphones it is at least with my ears , noise ?
Hi Devon
Can u please help me to choose betn Yamaha HS5 and KRK Rokit 5 G4 for my home studio?
I’ve been having issues with a track that has synth keys & they carry a-lot of high-end.
so much that they are interfering with my Hi-Hats... it sounds fine w/ headphones and my car speakers, but the hi-hats sound super compressed though phone speakers.
any way you could do a hi-hat mixing tutorial?
Thanks for allll your help & i’m watching these videos religiously lol
im new to pro tools, what button you press to bypass plugin?
Hero 🔥🔥🔥rawe 🔥🔥🔥
Would you say a "room" reverb is kind of the same/similar to a chamber reverb?
Haa you right i did count that as the end ... im trying be irregular at regular ! ~those degrees !
So besides the hall verb, are you using the chamber and the plate for the vocal throughout the whole song?
Do you guys using reverb on those trap kicks which sound very dry ?
devvon make video on how to create separation on vocals and the beat for r&b type song.love your work
Gotcha im on it!
so should l bus the reverb?
one bus with the short reverb and another bus with the longer and bigger reverb?
i may put some eq on the reverb long one hight pass filter?
Thank you
Nice Candles.
Thanks man
Amazing video brotha! I actually just did a cover of one of your cover songs
Hi devvon! Do u calculate small reverb too? And do u recommend sidechain to reverbs?
Pd: thanks for all this tutorials!
Would you use the plate verb alone on rap vocals?
