Even thought other drivers won poles that year, it felt at times a bit surprising when Ryan Newman didn't capture a pole in 2003. I mean, 11 poles? With this new qualifying format, we'll never see anything close to Newman's pole dominance again.
Also, given Roush's subpar performance over the last several years, it's highly unlikely The Rocketman will be on the Pole again. But I remember when he was most often the favourite in qualifying.
this 2003 fall race in Bristol i thnk that wasnt be a more physicality, carnage, wrecked car torned up and it feels how its roughly race was such an action
Only in Bristol can the car that spins you from behind...can stomehow have said car wreck right in the back of the car who spun that car. ...What a zen riddle that was.
2:53:00 i think he hurt his back / shoulder..... . it looks like the seat's left side head "pad" dug into his back/shoulder because he didnt hesitates.... then sits back down...... and then has his hands in a wired "way".... . almost like he was going to grab his shoulder / back...... but knows that if he did that on TV..... it would not look good
2:52:55 that REALLY puts Dale Jrs crash in perspective (the one where people think his dad/god helped pull him from the car) . now, like anything, im sure you get quicker at it with practice..... especially if you are on fire but that seat takes up half the room......

2:48:46 ive never understood how the outside car will just stay planted and the inside car just bounces off like a "super bounce" ball . even in the video game....NASCAR racing 2003.... the same thing happens . i try to wreck someone like Dale..... and just end up giving him a "boost".... and wrecking myself inside, outside, front tire, rear tire.... he stays planted..... and i bounce off and ping-pong the outside and inside walls like 11 times . . . . . also.... if you like video games / simulators and ya like NASCAR and ya also have a force feed-back steering wheel...... download nascar 2003 (its free.... as its so old, no one will sue you for downloading it) . a logitech G27 + nascar 2003 + a few cold ones + a few rolled ones = a TON of fun . . its seriously the BEST nascar simulator ever made (which is really sad.... ) these modern NASCAR games for the X-box just suck..... call themselves a sim.... but are even easier than "out-run" at the arcade.... . NASCAR 2003 is a HARD CORE racing sim better than 99.86% of modern "racing simulators".......... nascar, F1, or rally
Jimmy Spencer leading in that 7 car was pretty impressive.
I'm beginning to know why they miss the old Bristol. That stuff is awesome to watch.
The Kenny Schrader 1-800-CALL-ATT/ Carrot Top paint scheme is one of my all-time favorites.
NASCAR considered postponing this race due to the start of the War in Iraq
Abbas Ladak they knew everyone wanted to see it
@pokemon56761 that is LITERALLY what the first interview was about (the one with Mike Helton)
20 years later we all know it was a for profit war at the sacrifice of innocent American soldiers

59:10 I don't know how many voted but that result shows that for years many fans have been wanting more short tracks.
and then they finally added one in 2022...and then fans bitched about it
...yet looked the other way when they took one away the year before....weird
This is my favourite race track of all-time! The NOSSCAR drivers love racing here. It's definitely an action track.
Congrats to kurt busch on winning his 2nd food city 500 ..
This was a good race .
Jeff Gordon and dale jr had really fast cars ..
Miss those retro fox openings, "stand by me"
That strategy almost worked out for Harvick.. He’d have needed a yellow later than it happened, but he’d have been the leader by a good ways..

Last race of the old UPS logo with DJ
The last race with the old black bowtie UPS Logo on Dale Jarrett's car (between Bristol and Texas, UPS changed the logo).
I miss the old UPS logo. It was classic UPS.
New Fast Logo!
One of Kurt Busch’s most underrated wins. From heartbreak to victory.
The park where Mike joy said Alan was going to be the only champion driver and owner that changed 2011
What was going on in the world during this weekend in 2003.
My first Bristol race
NASCAR's 2000th Cup Race! :)

NASCAR Winston Cup Race #2000.
poor old kyle petty was having a great run one moment and going to the hospital the next
2:33:50 is why they banned cars from returning to the Race after getting repaired in the Garage.
1:03:02 what is that music?
1:00:22 I live for those types of shots.
How the heck did Schrader qualify 3rd in the BAM Racing car?
They were really good on short tracks with Schrader.
jimmy spencer even took the lead from gordon
Schrader has always been a pretty damn good Short Track Racer
Because the money factor wasn't as important as it is now, and Schrader is very experienced.

3:06:46 is why NASCAR throws the yellow for simple spins now
They also don’t race back to the caution anymore.
Whenenever for race championship
1:20:00
I think it’s funny at 1:48:58 both car’s were spun by their own teammates
Who ever "thumbed down" this video needs to keep their negative feelings to themselves.
Yeah that'll show em
Probably someone who was confused by Winston, Pontiacs, and the lack of stages

He said jail jarret
Calm down baby
Honestly the 01 deserved to wreck... 3 wide at Bristol?
He was 4th place and both those guys were laps down. I understand why Nadeau was mad lol
