This race is the race where Kyle Busch and Dale Jr wrecked out and Kyle left the track out of anger. Dale Jr replaced him to finish the race. In my opinion this is what started the move to Hendrick.

Jr had so many fast cars that year, they just blew so many damn motors. It was very fitting that he lost an engine in the Richmond race to seal his fate for not making the chase.

He wasn't making it anyway even if he finished 2nd or 3rd since the caution never came out.
