I don't hate you man, I was looking for the race in better quality. One of the good COT Races and the 1st time I watched NASCAR was the 2008 Daytona 500
Hearing Kyle on the warm up laps talking to his guys (when they were trying to get him on the radio) was cool - especially telling them how the cars come round the turn into the pit. Kyle is one of my fav ever nascar personalities. Actually I have about 30 favorites and almost all of them are retired!
Na I still hate this car deeply. It’s ugly, the strict rules are ridiculously stupid and in the end it killed NASCAR for the masses. The Gen 4 was the most technological advanced car there ever was and it’s still the representative of NASCARs legendary years. I’ll never forgive the COT car for killing the Gen 4 cars. The late „twisted sisters“ where such amazing cars where teams got really creative to get every bit of advantage possible over the competition. My dream races would be the late Gen 4 bodies with unrestricted flowing engines! No restrictor plates and the most advanced cars, that’s something I’d love to see. Unfortunately we then went fuel injection and now individual suspension, completely symmetrical bodies, a sequential transaxle (which is the worst thing until now) and then the Hybrid that was already confirmed (which will be the absolute worst thing when it’s there). NASCAR is doing everything the fans hate and the hybrid is completely useless since they already are climate neutral cars with the bio ethanol they use! It’s so sad to see a political agenda push into NASCAR to anger the last few fans even more. It’s just ridiculous..
Car of Tomorrow It refers to the then-new 5th generation stock car that started competing in select cup series races in 2007. When the lower-tier Nationwide series (now known as the Xfinity series) switched to a new car midway through 2010, their new car was also called the Car of Tomorrow, but I doubt many people remember that. When someone talks about the COT nowadays, they're most likely referring to the cup series cars from 2007-2012.
I'm the biggest fan of these cars. This was arguably the last really good era for this sport, And unfortunately i can say my interest in NASCAR has started to go downhill over the years. The first few years of the gen 6 were okay, but after about 2018 i stopped watching reguarly. But nothing beats the Gen-4 and COT!
