This race had a lot of cool alternative paint schemes.

Honestly this was actually a good race for a Chicagoland race in NASCAR.

"Three guys that don't have to worry about the new fueling rules on pit road- cause they always go to the self-service pump!"
Those are the little things I used to love about NBC/TNT before the race started: How would Weber introduce the three guys, and who would get interview during the pace lap (i.e. Jimmie Johnson here)?

This was back when NBC cared

For some reason I vividly remembered the post race coverage for this race lasting *forever*, guess the race wrapped up early and they had time to kill so they interviewed like the top 30 finishers. I even remembered Kyle Petty finishing 27th!

"Race fans don't have to wait for a special midsummer classic- every race is an All-Star race!"

Wrong! The only all-star race on the NASCAR schedule is the Sprint All-Star Challenge (formerly The Winston).
