The Culver Express can be used by the Diamond . Let all (F) trains run Church Avenue Express.
They should have more express trains on the F.
Like F Brooklyn express should go express between Avenue X and Jay Street.
Ah Kathleen. The best voice announcer in the entire system.
Catherine would say different.
Favorite!
2:51 nailed it
Cool
Extend the diamond F make this permanent
Express service between Kings Hwy and Church Avenue is unfeasible because in the MTA analysis, the people who stand to benefit from express F train service is those between Kings Hwy and Church Avenue, who are more dependent on the F than folks south of Kings Hwy, and having F train service at the stations north of Kings Hwy cut in half would be unfeasible. More specifically:
Current Infeasibility of Express between Kings Hwy and Church Av
A one-way peak direction express service between Kings Hwy and Church Av, with locals generally originating or terminating at Kings Hwy and expresses operating through from or to Coney Island-Stillwell Av, is not feasible given the current track and switch layout at Kings Hwy. Modernization of the Kings Highway interlocking has been programmed in the current capital plan, and is planned to include the additional switches required to allow for smooth operation of a one-way express service on this segment upon completion after 2019. However, the marginal impacts of this express segment would lead to approximately equal numbers of passengers losing time (from longer waits) and gaining time. Moreover, nearly all of the benefitting passengers would board at stations between Stillwell Av and Kings Hwy, where most passengers already have nearby access to alternative express services to Manhattan. Most of the passengers between Kings Hwy and Church Av, who are more dependent on the Culver line, would only have local service and therefore longer waits
Ultimately, as a lot of the people south of Kings Hwy are going to Manhattan, the best solution would be to simply avoid the Culver F Line entirely. Use of the B, D, N, and Q would be better and faster options overall.
@RYAN AYALA At least I did find some information on it.
Cool
Although unfeasible, there are two upgrades the Culver Line could receive. Restore the express platforms at Bergen St to make F trains run express full time and add a switch between the northbound local track and the express track south of Avenue X to allow the entire length of the express track to be used in either direction during rush hours. So normally, the F would run express and the G local on the 4-track section with the G short-turning at Church Ave. On the 3-track section, make it’s service pattern like that of the B and D on the Concourse Line, with the F running express in the peak direction and the G extending to Coney Island and remaining local. Basically, there’s a local and express service, the former of which short-turns and the latter of which runs until the end and becoming local after where the local terminates. During rush hours, however, the express continues to run express on the section after where the local short-turns but only in the peak direction, and the local runs the full length and takes over as the local service there.
FINALLY WE SEE THE EXPRESS TRACK BEING USED AFTER A VERY LONG TIME
not Culver exp. rush hour express tracks finally being used
The work trains use it
It happens from time to time. Express when theres a delay
Oh yeah
Yeah
Around 14:10... Ugh... That dadgum Blue R160... 😂😂Its More BLUE than ever!
Diamond Express!
The MTA should let the Diamond go express between Kings Hwy and Jay Street excluding 18 Ave, 7 Ave and Church Ave and have 5 trains run in the AM and PM rush hour peak direction instead of two.
no 7th ave is mandatory
@@alistairbarkus yes & 18 av because it has an express track so why not use it
Yes
9:01 wtf was that ;-;
No glitch. The computer is set for local stops, hence why all the F trains that stop at Church Ave have to resync the computer.
The second avenue subway game announcements
Ohh ok
I loved this. Also enjoyed the comments.
Awesome
I thought they canceled the express service in Brooklyn because of low ridership during the beginning of covid?
This is not the . Rather, these are rerouted F trains that were unable to use the local tracks due to weekend construction.
@@TheRailLeaguer The clover Express still runs now
@@TheRailLeaguer ohh that makes sense
@@blackopscw7913 it’s only express above church avenue
Ok
Too bad they didn’t use the F Via Culver Express program :c
@Elijah broomes i was hoping you know Smith 9th and 4th -9th are apart of Culver.
@Elijah broomes the Express destination sign says "Culver Express" and Smith-9th streets and 4th-9th streets are apart of Culver.
Awesome
Nice!
7:10 Look at the V guy lol
ANY line that has a middle track, should be utilizing express service. NYC subways are actually horribly underrun. The N,D,1,Q and the Shuttle that ends at Prospect part are all express trains that have express lines put out of service, especially the Sea Beach Line which needs to be rebuilt.
Culver Express!!
[F]or the [W]in
I like to go to downtown New York.
F train :c
How about letting the G run local and make the F express during rush hours????
That would not bode well for riders between Kings Hwy and Church Avenue, since the sector north of Kings Hwy is more dependent on the Culver Line for Manhattan service. Given that there would be equal number of riders benefiting and losing out, all this would do is entice riders to avoid the Culver Line altogether and use nearby lines instead, many of which are already at capacity.
Sorry; I missed that it was track maintenance the first time. If you were to quickly pan the subway/el station name plate before filming the train, then that would help. We wouldn't have to be in mystery about where it was filmed until the end of the clip sometimes. Aarre Peltomaa
How do you ID the express vs. local? How many stations are passed?Signage was poor!
In this video, these express trains are actually local trains that were unable to stop at the regular local stations due to construction. To ID express and local trains, the side destination signs on newer trains would say express or local.
Yes
The (F) train is going rogue
is it running express south of Church Av?
Yes.
Yea
@Jamari Thomas cool lol
Yea
F Is a Flickr Line
F
Why not the G train go to Coney Island via express between smith-9th streets and Coney Island
Why would you do that? It’s not necessary (especially the sector south of Church Avenue)?
cuz there a switch at smith 9th streets but its used for G trains terminating at smith-9th streets and because the trains doesn’t use the F express track and thats why i wanted the G go culver express between smith-9th streets and coney island
@@ajjj4wood1 The local tracks were closed south of Church Avenue. After that, there’s no way to switch from local to express until 18th Avenue.
Also, the southbound local track was closed all the way down forcing every southbound F and G train to run express to Church Avenue and Coney Island.
Do you not trust what the MTA is doing?
Do subway trains talk eat write and teach and help kids?
where is express logo
These are not the regular F express trains. Rather, these are local F trains that are skipping stops on the middle tracks since the local tracks are closed for track work.
Oh no
Express what ?? You only have 3 tracks. Which direction is the F taking express at what time. In which direction at what time does it take the local track. Not enough information. Aarre Peltomaa
These express F trains were southbound locals that were unable to use the local tracks due to construction. All southbound trains used the express tracks to get around the work, resulting in stations being skipped.
Cool
And Speak and talk as well.
Do all subway trains wear PJs sandals sneakers shoes flip flops slippers and clothes too?
Socks, and Skechers as well.
W/ High Heels.
First!!!
Toms and UGG boots too.
Cool
