- A Houston area woman has filed a lawsuit against the City of Santa Fe and two members of the Santa Fe Police Department after she claims officers held her face in a pile of fire ants.
In the court document, Taylor Rogers names the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe PD Sergeant Ruben Espinoza, and officer Christian Carranza are named as defendants.
I don't care what she did. That was torture. They knew what was happening and FOUR of them stood around and watched. You arrest her and bring her to jail. If you stand there and watch while a human has her face in a pile of fire ants, you're an animal and don't deserve to wear a badge. Officers are not above the law yet they're treated like it all the time.
MODERN POLICE drain the wealth and freedoms from taxpayers FORCING loss of job, credit, home, marriage, and desire to continue living after complete financial ruin, being transformed and converted from taxpayer to welfare recipient's!
NO POLICE encounter ever benefits the taxpayer!

Welcome to the THIN BLUE LINE....will always claim innocence.
Ok calm down freedom fighter goofy ass 😂
So you don’t care that she was drunk, picking her kids up from school and wrecked her car in the school yard. She resisted Arrest and was put to the ground.
Great by your logic anyone being placed under arrest can claim ants on their face and get preferential treatment.
@nl4402 It is not preferential treatment to get a woman's face out of a pile of fire ants. That's the definition of cruel and unusual. She should be prosecuted for whatever she did. That has absolutely nothing to do with putting her face in a pile of ants and standing around while she screams.
Same goes for forcing people down on hot pavement in the summer months.
Do you remember the young couple who did not do anything wrong but they try to get her to put her baby down on the hot parking lot, 😢, and the they made them lay down on it, 😞
@@Renee-wy1po Missed that one
@@Renee-wy1poWas that the case that the media reported where police overreacted to a family leaving a Dollar Store whose toddler accidentally walked out with an item?
The store claims that's not what happened and that the parents ran out with full carts of stuff without paying and shoved one employee. There was also a car chase.
Still overkill to get into a car chase over shoplifting at a dollar store and a non-injurous battery.
Some of these cops are immoral and no training can fix that, cancel qualified immunity
Worse than immoral unfortunately.
Did you come to the conclusion based on the video her lawyer released?
You are so smart you don’t even want to dig deeper and work out the full story.
Where she was actually drunk, picking her kids up from school and wrecked her car in the school yard then resisted arrest.
Looks like this was personal towards her. This is a criminal charge against this officer.
Let’s start a petition to charge him.
Looks like a hungry lawyer is finding some 3 year old case to get a paycheck from.
It's scripted, staged and acted-out fake news. You people are hypnotized sleepwalkers who believe everything you're told to believe....just because it's on some PROGRAM called The News.
@@arthurfoyt6727I'm wondering the same thing why is it taking 3 yrs to get a lawsuit going?
Cops are seriously getting out of hand. I used to support them but between the acorn video, the death of the air force veteran and now this? It's ridiculous. They don't care about helping. They just want to look cool with a gun.
Sadly this is their training. They have been trained by the I.D.F.
Believe it or not stuff like this happens literally EVERY DAY you should watch Jaffer Khan, he shows dozens of stories for the week documenting police misconduct. Again, [WEEKLY misconduct stories]
Judges don't scold them.
It’s nothing new. It’s only because of cameras everywhere that it’s getting visibility.
They look stup i.d. with a gun. They need to be criminally charged, not civil!
Cut the check.
That is absolutely sickening!! Horrible to do that to someone and then further insult to not only not apologize, but no admonishment by superiors is flat out unacceptable!!
Where are the body cam videos?
the officers asauled ;;prison time for all these police officers
Holding a humans face in a fire ant mound is nasty work. Ouch ! 💀
Hell, yes, that was torture, sir!!!
Could blind her too…. Unbelievably painful 😳just wow
@@jettnatchez4776
And probably scars on her face 😒
Why would you even put someone one the ground and handcuff them for accidentally going the wrong direction?!?!?!
I remember seeing the video. She earned the arrest and it was intentional so she could avoid a wait in a line of traffic . It was her attempt at an illegal short cut and they stopped her. She refused to follow their orders on safely backing up and going the right way.
Doesn't warrant a face full of fire ants. She was doing the driving stunt on purpose.
Yes that was the bit that was conveniently left out to trigger all you people. Lol
After the police have detained and arrested
the suspect, all other physical and rude verbiage should stop.
That’s torture for sure
That reporter is a coward himself, he supports the behavior of the police.
I could not believe that!! I would not have answered a single note of his ridiculous questions.

When I was 7 yrs old I was wearing sandals on an extremely hot summer day, I accidentally stepped in an ant pile and I literally had to be carried home. The ants bit me all over my left foot and it was a long time before I could walk normally again. I can’t imagine her pain
Some people have died to fire ants
Of course. Ants are strong. And it's strength in numbers. Combined they can take down a horse. Or human. Don't let them crowd your feet and you fall.💀

The whole country is dealing with bad cops.. we need the George Floyd bill passed by republican senate.. the house signed in 2021. It would help US tremendously.
We need qualified immunity removed, and the police have to pay that the lawsuits not us let it come out of their pension

when you hand cuff someone you suppose to put them on their side cause it's too hard to breath. all the other officers did nothing. I am a correctional officer my coworkers know they better not do anything to an inmate or even hear they have done anything to an inmate in my presence.
Those cops should be facing Federal prison time for the Federal crime of torture. Right now.
They do things like that all the time and worst
Act of war. I would 100% get my lick back.... as God as my witness. And it won't be "awareness" or "lawsuit"..
Hell yea I want my lick back 🤣
I would be willing to go to jail for justice. Also many others would be too after viewing this horrific clip.
What is needed is the George Floyd Police Accountability Act to become law.
Police need to lose qualified immunity and carry a type of insurance like doctors do for malpractice!
Police shouldn't be afraid to do their job for fear of prosecution or even wrongful prosecution, BUT police also shouldn't be able to do whatever the hell they want without consequence!

What ever police do to you do to you do them , power only respects power.
Mannnn how horrible.. this does sumpn to my soul😢😢😢.. these type problems exist in multiple departments across the country... these are not a few bad apples.. the "system" we have allow this type of behavior to exist.. the job is hard, but when it impairs you ability to be a decent human it's a issue. the mentality of the police is a byproduct of the system.. it does not matter the century were in. the lawyer says they need to catch-up to this century, its the mentality they have. The same mentality/energy persist that was there from the original conception of the police, the slave patrol. the relationship they have with us is not much different from when the slave patrol caught runaways as well as how they harassed free people of color.. I feel bad for the good cops, but the prevailing energy there is negative, evil, bad, or whatever you want to call it.. that energy also formed this country. that's why you see it falling. The people can and will change the system, but not until we collectively come together. this is why the separate us. all these titles that we have only separate with the exception of human
All for going the wrong way in a school loading zone turn style?
The arresting cop committed a criminal assault and torture. The ones standing by watching are complicit in his crimes.
Why is it necessary to even arrest somebody for a traffic thing ? How about the lady in Colorado that was an elderly lady that had dementia ? They ripped her arm out of socket and smashed her face into the ground . The only way that a person should be arrested or detained in police custody as if they're being a threat to society and their needs to be some kind of restraint. There's absolutely no reason for a police to put their hands on any civilian .
Apparently she was asked to stop but she panicked and drove off in the wrong way. Police had to pit her car or something to stop her. Now, here's my speculation, she probably resisted arrest which was why she got pinned to the ground like that. But they could've at least take a quick look to see if there were ants on her face and move her away from there.
That’s messed up.
Young woman holding picture, Good looking out & thank you for supporting this woman❤
There's gotta be a way to keep sadists from becoming cops.
The old slang of "pigs" is an insult to pigs.
Them santa fe boys have always been rough around the edges, thay said back in the day you best not get caught after dark in the fe.....
OMG! Wow! This is disgusting attitud toward citizens. They need to be discipline to their max.
This lawyer sounds like a clown
Wow one bit is so painful 😣 I can't imagine how horrible it was for over 300
We need to see the video from the moment she left/exited her vehicle .....the police did NOT put her in an ant bed , they arrested her for fleeing a traffic stop and she resisted they took her down and handcuffed her ,,,,,
The screams made me feel nauseous
THATS FUKED UP
THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING...
we don't need to discuss the legitimacy of their actions.
it isn't even a conversation.
the conversation is: how far are we going to let this stuff go on before we "demand" justice.
Another officer who got caught abusing someone. SMH
Ooooh the police department are in trouble. 😅😅 taste your own medicine 💊
They had no right to do that to her, none whatsoever. Every one of those officers that participated in it and watched it and did nothing to stop it need to be in prison for a long long time. Then there are the supervisors all the way up the chain of command to the police chief that all need to be in prison for a long long time for not doing anything about it. The immediate supervisor of those officers should have immediately filed charges against those officers, and if he/she didn't then the next higher supervisor should have, all the way up to the chief. They all failed, deliberately sweeping it under the rug so they are all as guilty as the officers who held her face in the fire ant nest. She needs to sue them and win and end up being paid millions and millions of dollars.
So neglected of the police department.
It's Sadistic Behavior.
Were is the video of it ?
I don't know why they show a few seconds.
Holy crap this is an ambulance chasing lawyers unilateral wet dream of a case
Sorry, but there are TWO sides to EVERY story, OTHER than someone TRYING to make a QUICK BUCK !!
There is nothing she could have done that would make a non psychotic want to do this to her.
Exactly!!
@@Rebecca-hc5juthey seem to get off on hurting their victims as punishment.
Have the fire ants got an attorney to help with the counter suite against this, this er this for trespass, what about burglary ? Has animal control been in touch with the head of the fire ant union to find out whether any ants needed medical aide or psych evaluation ?
The governor of Texas should take action on this case
Most cops have a huge ego when it’s gets hurt they get back. At people this has to stop or the pubic will stop respecting or caring. And when this happens there job will be a nightmare and all they have to blame is themselves
The media making excuses and trying to give the police an "out" sickens me
She was driving the wrong way in a school zone. She may have been intoxicated.
What?
You realize she was arrested right?
Do you think the cops also neglected to assess her for intoxicants?
I mean, wow
Too many thin blue line gangs.
So she was going the wrong way in a school zone, refusing to stop? So if she had been a school shooter or someone was drunk and driving wrong way and hit some kid, would you all feel the same?
Nobody is arguing whether she should be arrested for that. People are saying why couldn't they at least check on her complaints. It's basically just George Floyd bs all over again.
Take their pensions
Disband the police
Regardless of what she did, even if she was resistanting you cant tell me they didnt see those ants on her face.. They need to pull all those body cams, I damn near BET they were laughing & joking afterwards. You see that one knocking something of her arm while she was on the ground! Fire ants swarm, they dont just have one or two they seen those ants. Im not saying they put her in that bed on purpose, those beds are hard to see in the grass.. But once she was there and they started swarming they knew. This is truly sad. I live in Texas, one fire ant is very painful, ive hit many beds mowing and had 8 or 9 bites. I was in tears. I cant imagine the pàin she was in. Why didnt they take her to the hospital once they seen her face like that? They denied her rights all the way.. I hope she gets their job & millions!
I gotta say as much as I feel bad for the lady having been treated like that, the press conference is maybe the funniest ive seen in my life, the way they described everything it's almost like a sketch
Just ungodly
I read the police statements and he claimed he couldn’t see any ants, but his face is literally right there and they’re obviously all over her based on the bites - how could he not see them??
Ive been looking for the full body cam footage and cant find it. Anyone know where i can find it?
Typical cop behavior. “Protect and serve”
Horrible..
Why do they keep talking about what happened before the arrest? Completely irrelevant
For officers this treatment IS normal. You nailed it Shelby Stewart. That's it in a nutshell
She is a professional victim. If she took some self-accountability for her own behaviour, she would not have been arrested in the first place.
Eighth Amendment of the US Constitution
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. This is cruel and unusual punishment inflicted on a person. Officers should not only be sued but fired and then face criminal charges as well as having losing all law enforcement hiring rights with any departments.
Wow that crazy
Take it to the next step! These cops should be criminally charged for all of these inhumane treatment, NOT JUST CIVIL (tax payer money). There were like at least 4 just stood there and NOT helping the woman.
😢😢
Y’all cops will pay for what you did to her.
The biggest insult here is the way the Officer's prolonged and unnecessary amount of time holding down an already restrained female subject Taylor Rogers.. His pressing his (right) elbow into the lower ares of her spine while looping his arms around her tight leg, forced her bare leg to be propped up into a embarrassing position of uncompromising indecent exposure. He compromised her HEALTH & SAFETY by ignoring her cries related to being facial-ly swarmed and bitten by said.
IMO, that is why the dimwitted bystander(s) Officers became visually and (seemingly) cerebrally fixated & did not step in to rescue the woman. It is obvious that the officers were visually spellbound to a point that they were deaf to Ms Taylor Roger's loud pleas and cries in regard to being in a torturous position, while being continously bitten by the fire ants.
This is a show of treachery, deception ●. betrayal of trust ● (possible) female gender bias, disloyalty ●, allowing prolonged humiliation ● Unwarrented degradation and disregard of/to Ms Roger's HEALTH and SAFETY, due to the facts, fire ants deliver a venomous sting and as in many cases from fire ants can cause an antigen immunity where her immune system was compromised due to gross negligence
Well IMO, 👓 a "few bad/rotten 🍎\(🕶) 🍎\(🕶) 🍎\(🕶) 🍎\(🕶) 🍎\(🕶) apples spoil the bunch."
After viewing a copy of the (currently edited) video:____________________________________________ plese ill in the line expressing what you think,

There is absolutely no appropriate reason for them to leave her face in a pile of fire ants. Especially after she told them.
@@Rebecca-hc5juBut if we don't see the video how do we know. It only takes a few seconds. I have stepped on a red ant hill as a kid. Within a couple of seconds they were biting the crap out of me. They may have pulled her up after a few seconds, as soon as they realize what was happening.
