As annoying as she's being, personally I commend the officers for being patient with someone who's clearly emotionally distressed. No parent would want to believe their daughter could be capable of such a thing; it's a lot to come to terms with. As officers of the State they have a tremendous amount of power, and it must be wielded thoughtfully and responsibly. Escalating the situation wouldn't have helped anyone.

I read a comment on Quora yesterday from a mom:
She said that she gave her daughter a notebook and she told her daughter that whenever she had questions she was too embarrassed to ask in person, she should write the question in a notebook and then give it to her mom. This way, the daughter doesn't have to stand in front of her mom and ask a question that might be embarrassing for her, and the mom said that she told her daughter she would read the questions at night and give her an answer the next day in the notebook. The mom said that this was great for her too because if her daughter were to ask a question that might upset her, she didn't want her daughter to see that expression of surprise, horror or perhaps some anger on her face. I think that's brilliant.

We do not know if they have mental issues and if they do, the response is not compassion to them, because their not victims, the response is discipline and analyzing the behavior, so it isn't repeated again.even if that means being civilly committed. The individual doesn't show any compassion or remorse for her actions. The compassion needs to be demonstrated to the child and future babies tto ensure people like this are caught before they act.

We’ve seen the girl’s reaction, the mom’s reaction, the doctor’s reaction, the responding police officer’s reaction, the cleaning lady who found the baby’s reaction (that poor lady)…and this woman has the NERVE to act like she didn’t know why the officers were at her doorstep. FOH.
It’s the fact that the cleaning lady was the only one to shed a tear for me. 🤮 the staff was that baby’s only hope and they acted like a dumpster-baby isn’t so common it’s a JOKE.

I haven’t heard this story but judging by this video it looks like it’s a pretty rural small farm town just guessing so I’m sure there was a lot of community pressure and her mother’s reaction or approval but also this was a very smart honor role “good” girl who was very young and probably had plans of going places and got it in her head that her life was over now cause she has a kid because that’s pretty normal. I don’t want the bulk of the blame on the mother because it’s squarely the girls fault.

How many kids in absolute pain would not call their mum? why was she so scared for anyone to find out about the baby despite carrying it to full terms? I wouldn't be surprised if the mum threatened her and the baby and that's why she ran away, or if the baby was actually her mums partner or a teacher at school she was hiding. If your teen daughter is so scared to find comfort in you and would rather kill, you failed as a parent.

For those who don’t know, it was discovered that she was pregnant at a hospital, she then denied being pregnant and locked herself in a bathroom. She gave birth while locked in the bathroom for 20 minutes and staff were trying to get her out. Before leaving she smothered the newborn baby under a trash bag, the body was discovered while staff were cleaning blood out of the bathroom. She went back to her hospital room, where her mother was continued to deny being pregnant so that her mother couldn’t find out that she was sexually active, and the hospital staff confronted her along side a sheriff deputy that was called. Neither the girl or her mother took the situation as serious as it was, knowing the fact that she murdered her newborn child.
This was all in a hospital, where she could have denied visitation from her parents and adopted out the child, but she killed her son in a bathroom and left his body alone in the trash. She is an adult, she was a mother, she went through nine months of pregnancy and hid it from her parents, and she killed the one thing that trusted her the most in the world. She took an entire lifetime from her own child. She doesn’t deserve sympathy.

Did they really think that she was not going to be charged with something? This is one of the craziest cases I’ve ever heard. From her saying she didn’t know she was pregnant, to the whole hospital experience, to this. If so much of it wasn’t on tape, it would almost be unbelievable.

This is someone who clearly has no accountability and even extends that emotion personally to anything that affects her daughter. When my daughter came to me when she was 16 and told me she was pregnant I supported her. Even though she was scared. I knew deep down. I wasn't buying pads and tampons like usual. She was nauseous every day. And her moods changed. I gave her a little bit of time to tell me.
My grandson just graduated from highschool and I am so proud of him.

I got pregnant at 15 and was terrified to tell my parents, especially my mother. But at NO point in time did I EVER think of doing what she did. I may have hid it until my belly started to show, but what she did was utterly disgusting. And her mother is a piece of work.
