  • Dr. Rowe shows how to quickly get rid of clicking and popping sounds in the jaw.
A big cause of this is due to tightness and stiffness around the jaw (especially with the muscles associated with chewing and TMJ disorders).
To quickly fix this, we'll go over three exercises that will help loosen (and strengthen) these muscles for both quick and long-lasting relief.
All of the exercises can be done at home (or work), require no special equipment, and may give relief within 30 seconds.
Watch now and fix a clicking and popping jaw in seconds!
    Chapters:
    0:00 Intro
    0:44 Exercise 1 (TMJ Release)
2:59 Exercise 1 (Masseter and Temporalis Release)
    5:15 Exercise 1 (Jaw Tracking)
    7:38 Pen Method

I have a dislocating jaw. When I open my jaw the right side pops out and then the left side pops out. It clicks and clunks all the time. If I do these exercises should I try to do it within the ‘normal’ range of motion and try to avoid allowing it to dislocate? The problem is that it pops out without any effort at all. I wear a bite guard at night to prevent clenching but still get jaw pain and clicking regularly.

I'm 19 and have had this popping every time I open and close my mouth for easily 5-10 years (without pain). I did these exercises ONCE last night, immediately noticed an improvement. Now, the next morning, it almost doesn't pop anymore. I reckon doing these daily for a month could make it go away forever. Can't appreciate this enough.

My husband is 37 and has the same issue. Not sure if the exercise will help, but if it's anything like me with my sinus massage, he'll remember the important stuff and may eventually pick up a habit if it makes him feel comfortable.
Sometimes things hurt so much, but are so unavoidable, your brain blocks the pain out. Hubby insists his doesn't hurt, though, and I'm not gonna argue that. Tired muscles aren't necessarily painful, either.

after a horrific wisdom tooth removal around 16 years ago I've had this annoying clicking and sort of "pop out" on my left jaw, nobody would believe me, and these exercises made my jaw track properly, or at least better for the first time in so long. Thanks!

I just subbed to your channel. Been a watcher off and on, and literally every musculo-skeletal problem I've had -- you have a video about with exercises that actually fix the problem freely available. You're a true healer and you deserve every sub / click / view you get. You keep doing you, Dr. Rowe.

So thankful for this video. I'm 31 and I've had a popping jaw as long as I can remember. It's still there if I move my jaw too far from side to side post-this video, but it already feels a lot better! I thought I was a lost cause with my jaw pain. I'm going to add this to my morning routine along with my yoga for the next week and just see what happens! Thank you!

Incredibly helpful videos. Both sides of my jaw has been clicking for many years without pain, but quite annoying. Just recently, I started getting an occasional throbbing pain right above the jaw bone by the top of the ear. It deeply concerned me as I wasn't sure what it was. Then I thought about TMJ and my clicking jaw so applied therapeutic-grade essential oils over that area to help relax the muscle and lower inflammation. That did bring some relief overnight. Then I found your easy to understand videos which have been so helpful, resulting in even more relief. I will practice these daily to strengthen both the jaw and neck muscles. Thank you so much for doing these videos! You are truly a blessing!

When I'm severely stressed, my TMJ flares up badly and I even catch myself grinding my teeth together during the waking hours. The jaw popping is much worse as well. I'm so glad I found this video, I did a few of the exercises while watching and my jaw was so sore and achy into my ear before but eased almost instantly with these techniques. Popping went away as well! Thank you so much! You're so helpful!

Jaw tracking gave instant relief, a little hard to get the movements right at first but once you do you feel it. I’ll be doing that one daily, had TMJ since around 20-21, been around 5 years but these exercises helped with relief.
