At 67/3, with the top three big guns (Warner, Labuschagne and Smith) back in to the dressing room, a strong England side went well into the match. But with excellent support from Head, Green and Carey, Khawaja builds a strong wall against the Englishmen. Alex Carey is someone who gets runs when team need him the most. Batting at 7 after such a strong batting lineup, he won't be able to get big scores too often and hence won't have that great a career number wise and hence will go underrated for sure.

Yesterday we saw England and now Australia, both teams know how to make it count when momentum goes in their favour. They don't hesitate to play lofted shot . The likes of khwaja , head ,Carey and even green all hit sixes . Everytime it's not about bazball, it's just a smart thinking to realise when it's perfect time to attack. I believe that's where pant is so much crucial for India
When you can show replays for boundaries, I think you can even include missed chances like dropped catches, stumpings and dismisaals on a No-ball as well.

Don't know why people were saying that Australia will easily be taking lead and Smith will be scoring double century.. This pitch is actually very difficult to bat and is suitable for spinner bowlers.. But kudos to Khawaja who has scored hundred and will be scoring double century if God wish🤞
Bro this is such a flat pitch. How is this helping spinners? Ali and Lyon have been eaten up by the batsmen. Only the Cameroon green's wicket showed some glimpse of turn in the pitch. But don't worry it's just some small rough created there by the continued bowling. It will be moistured out the next day.

Carey n Head are quite an underrated duo in this team. And what a superb knock by Khwaja. Broad no ball proving costly
Head is ranked 3 in the world. Hardly underrated. Perhaps by those who havent been watching test cricket the last 2-3 years. Agree about Carey. Probably the #1 keeper in the world right now. He gets better and better. England think Bairstow was worth the risk with the gloves for a few extra runs, and it did not work. His bat avge is only marginally better than Carey anyway. Bairstow missed 2 golden opportunities that could have them in charge. Always pick the best gloveman in tests.

the phase just after the new ball was taken towards the end of the day, Australia's batting was fuckin stupendous and highly skillful.. they grinded n grinded n hung on there for first six overs after the new ball then khwaja n carey took on the charge.. it was such a pleasing n pure cricket to see while they put a high price tag on their wickets n went thru the difficult phase n later on capitalise on it n went through unbeaten on the stumps.. Just wow.. exactly what is missing in current Indian team of chokers and salesmen.
Mo comes back and bowls almost 30 overs in an innings 👏🏻
