@@jayyadav1610 Couldn't agree more. Very few Test players have the temperament needed to be great. Smith, Kohli and Stokes (who recently seems to have found great patience to go with his class and strength) know what they're doing, but there aren't too many others among the batting ranks.
In the context of the game - maybe even series - Harmison's slow ball to Michael Clarke must rank as most significant wicket. If Clarke had been there the next morning with Warne at the crease, way more likely an Australian victory.
Not really bro. England would still have been the favourites to win it. What brought Australia back into the game was Lee's partnership with Warne and then Kasprovicz.
Even now, 17 years later, I'll never forget this test match, and I was only listening to it on the radio in NZ. Games like these are what make cricket great.

Such high quality cricket. One of the best things about cricket is seeing the appreciation from people all over the cricketing world, shown in the comments.
Even though they lost this Australian team was the greatest cricket team of all time. They had three legitimate captains in Ponting, Gilchrist and Warne. In batting they had formidable players like Hayden and Clarke and legendary bowlers like McGrath and Brett Lee. Even their second string had players like Lager, Haddin, and Hodge. This was a fantasy players dream team. Now to think about the extra ordinary performance the English team had to pull out to beat the Aussies is what makes this the greatest Ashes series ever.
