Dada's 144 in the first test, Dravid and Laxman's magical partnership in the second test, Sehwag's 195 in this test and finally a 243* by the little master in the 4th test . The series ended up as 1-1. After 20 odd years, I still rate this test series as the best performance of India on Australian soil.

And none of them are as good as Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins in test cricket.
I watched it all through live. I thought after the match was over, Indian team owed Sehwag an apology for losing the match (and letting go of the chance to win the series) after the start he provided. I still think the same after 20 years. Ian Chappel regards it as one of the best innings played in Australian soil. And he is right.

I did watch this match at TV live by waking up early morning during my college days. After the India's historic victory at 2nd test Adelaide , my expectations gone high. It is treat to watch Sehwag scored 195 runs at first day of 3rd test. Those days Australia is tough opponent and still he managed to score 195. He could have played patiently after the six took him to 195 but Gilchrist set the trap ( Long On field position) and let Katich bowls the same type of ball which didn't connect properly and ends the Sehwag's magnificent innings.
It has been 20 long years. Despite numerous Boxing Day performances, it still stands out as one of the best.
