But english players like Bairstow, Root, Brook, Crawley are playing test cricket far superior than Kohli ever had or could anymore in the future. A player is not defined just by some past records and branding. A great player is defined by his ability to adapt, innovate and outperform others. Kohli had that in him to an extent when he was at his peak, but he is nowhere closer to the contemporary innovative batsmen in England.
