Poor Dhoni had to endure the worst forms of both seniors (Sachin, Laxman, Bhajji, Yuvi, Viru, Gauti, Zack) and juniors (Kohli, Pujara, Dhawan, Rohit); otherwise this and 2012 series vs England were something India should definitely have won 😔

I remember this as the first test series I have ever seen. This series made Anderson my favorite bowler, bhuvi almost a bowling all-rounder. I remember tailenders batting better than our upper order batsmen, simply making this as the hardest series Ind has ever played till now (for me).

But I firmly believe that his current 100 at Melbourne was very special.... Pure Class, Gritty and a Mature Knock to say the least... The Lord's one was good too ... Nothing against Rahane but watching the highlights, I felt that the level of English bowlers bowling to him wasn't that good as they were bowling him too short, whereas in Melbourne test the Aussie bowlers were at their best and had taken 2 early wickets and were bowling at way better line and lenghts than the Lords test... Both are test 100s but Melbourne has to be the best for me personally... I just hope he performs the same way in remaining 2 tests too😊

Man so many memories related to this match and the time of my childhood back at that time in 2014. Woke up on a fine morning and heard cheers of my dad who was screaming out of excitement "india won the test match at lords!!" 😀Wasn't a big regular watcher of cricket back then and was watching the game rather casually not knowing it's significance, now I realise what it meant to win a test match at lords that too against England back in that era.
