    I been there about 3 months ago when my original guides failed completely. I rolled up my sleeves and did it myself because labor cost more then the parts I bought. 2500 miles and 3 months later she's treated me well, except now ABS module is starting to give me a fit when its really hot outside, but for 24 years old beauty that's been ran into the ground by previous owner I cannot complain.

    Really enjoyed your video !. Ive owned two 740s. The first just died of
    old age, but the second had exactly the same issue. Got it fixed, and
    went on to do another 30K. The e38 in my opinion, was one of the greatest
    cars ever built !!. Love your channel. Hope you and your family stay safe !. 👍

    Fantastic, you got it going again! It's like a good woman that ticks all the boxes however, she likes fine dinners now and then. That dinner was in Bel Air this time😀. I love my 740 and those big dinners are few and far apart. Your video are really entertaining and helpful. Keep them coming when you can?

    Never ever sell an E38... 😊 It's one of the greatest cars ever and there is no replacement for it.
    The cooling system is also a bit of a weakness. A bit too much pressure on it and therefore many times the main cooler also ruptures.

    Great video and love the video format and presenter style. Very articulate and humble (IMHO from a 62 yearly with 1999 E38 here in Australia). May I please ask the tyre sizes you are running on your 18inch M-par wheels? Are they staggered?

    • @ARPerez
      @ARPerez  Год назад

      Thank you for the support and kindness! Tyres are staggered and tires are 245/50/18 front and 275/45/18 rear

    Hey man,
    Great update!
    When was your last coolant flush?
    I have a 97 740il (m62b44) in SD and my waterpump failed a month ago. While I replaced the waterpump, I did all the coolant lines, expansion tank and upgraded 105 degree thermostat to a 85 degree thermostat and I have been sleeping with much less worries since.
    Thank you!

    • @ARPerez

    Whats up man I have a 2001 e38 bmw 740il and it has a valve cover gasket leak. Its pretty minor at the moment and I have about 155K on the dash should I replace it sooner than later?

    • @owenotis5903
      @owenotis5903 Год назад

      I got mine fixed last fall but pretty sure they re leaking again. If you want your car to last a long time then yes. But also it’s not the worst that can happen. And better ask on FB or forums than here

    • @ARPerez
      @ARPerez  Год назад +1

      You can replace it anytime and it will def need to be done again in the future, it's part of the BMW V8's charm. It doesn't matter really when you do it, but you will have to top off oil every now and then until you fix it and it will eventually make a mess of your undercarriage.
