    If you have an M62TU engine then do your E38 a favor an replace the thermostat with a 88° C one from a 740D. The M62TU has an electronically controlled thermostat which drives the temperature (and with it the pressure inside the cooling system) to well above 100°C just to have tiny bit cleaner exhaust gases. Stupid? Yes, of course...
    The 109°C you have seen on your display is actually normal and that is the reason why there are so many blown up coolers, houses and expansion tanks.
    The 88°C thermostat from a 740 fits mechanically just fine and lowers the temperature a lot and therefore it's a blessing for the engine and the cooling system. To shut up the engine management complaining, you need a resistor which attaches to the original thermostat's connector. Here in Europe, you can have both (OEM Thermostat & Resistor) as a kit for 100 Euros. The BMW Part Number of the Thermostat is 11512248542.

    I’m so so happy I found your channel. I’m a 49 yr old Woman . I have my 28 yr old daughter trying you help me with my car as I’m in congestive heart failure and can’t do a lot of what my car needs by myself.I have a couple videos of water pouring from the bottom of my motor I thought was coming from the oil Pan. Now that I see this I’m wondering if it’s what your replacing here. The water pump is working I replaced it several months back. The car sit untouched for about 5 yrs so a lot of things are dry rotted, trying to rust.
    Also someone shoved my dash off port up inside the dash and now doesn’t work. Any idea what would be pouring from bottom of engine and I’d like to share my video with you but I can’t seem to find out how to do that on here

    Would you happen to know how to remove both low and high beam bulbs from the headlight assembly without removing the whole headlight assembly?

    • @ARPerez
      @ARPerez  10 месяцев назад

      I don't know about the high beam but you should be able to remove the low beam like any other car. We are talking on the 740i correct?

    I see you replaced your gauge cluster, where did you get yours? My pixels are dead, and I love the oil temp gauge over the useless MPG gauge

      I had everything done thru Fixels, you have to search for them on Facebook, Oil temp and warm up lights on the rpm gauge are 🤌🏾

    Man I remember doing this job to mine.
    I have a question for you, what are your tire sizes!?
    I have
    Front 235/50/18
    Rear 255/45/18
    I want to go taller in the rear but not sure if I’ll throw off the wheel speed sensor. Wondering if you have to same sizes or did you change your size tire. 👍🏽👍🏽
