Just got this issue on my 08 also. Although the crack on mine is above the sensor on the side of the tank. When I bought the car it had a low coolant warning and dealer said it was the tank and the replaced it but they put a cheap China made expansion tank instead. 1.5 month later this happened.
I'm having my bmw 04 745li ,water coming out the reservoir cap and maybe somewhere else ,every time I get home and once I kill the engine start to leak, and I can hear the water pressure on the reservoir trying to get out.. what can this be ?? Thanks In advanced
Hi. I just received a new reservoir for my 2008 bmw750li and it disconnected and reconnected very easy. My problem is when I put the connections back on and press the clips down one of them is he leaking at the nipple area of where it Clips on. Is there any way to stop it? Can I wrap tape or something around the nipple then put the plug and cllip on?

Does the system need to be bled for any air that could get trapped in the tank?
Is there a bleeder valve on N62 cooling system like other BMW engines?
