Cars with both "High" OBC and "Low" OBC have these "hidden" menus, my 2001 E39s have "Low" OBC
The High OBC menu is more comprehensive but even the low OBC menu includes service reset, fuel consumption and other options.
However they are both a bit clunky to work through and a ODB diagnostic tool will give you the same information and many ODB tools will provide live data from a running car.

Hello George, can you help me out?? I have a 2002 745LI. It takes about 15 min of driving before the vehicle starts to produce any heat. When it finally does start to blow heat, it's not hot enough for these cold winters in Michigan. The blower motor works just fine, & the air conditioning works great in the summer. I can't figure out how to get the heat hotter. Another problem I have is that the dashboard menu won't show up. I can not get to the coolant temperature information or any other info. I hope to hear from you soon, Buddy.

So true, one of the issues that will cause loadsd of issues if overlooked. Th engine will not get to temperature and the rich mixture will damage the catalyst and possible the internals. now add that to a failing coil and you will get a really nasty surprise.

Yo my friend it isnt the total of the last 5 rather the total of the last FOUR digits. That total will grant access to the cluster. Keep up the nice imformative videos as i find them helpful and it eases the mind before making repairs . Thanksb

I confirm, soon after I changed the two thermostats on my 530d E61 the fuel consumption increased by a rough 10% from 8.4 LTRs per 100kms to 7.5 . Since then i always use Torque to check water temperature!

I got a 2003 Bmw 745i and my transmission is overheating after 30 minutes of driving what should I check for?
Will be low fluid. Do a full transmission service

@@GeorgeAusters so I have to take it to the shop to do a transmission check on fluids but I drove it today for about a hour & 15 minutes it didn’t over heat but when I was on the freeway at about 3700 rpm it began to get stuck and shift hard after that so I was wondering what’s your opinion on that?Oh sorry I did put a new battery in it after your first response to me the other day .
GREAT CONTENT MATE! Dislike from someone who has temperature gauge on dashboard 🤔😁. I don like being without temp. gauge, once I will have some free time I think it will be time to do some additional gauges for oil temp, coolant temp and maybe oil presure 👍
Yeah would be good to have all the gauges but I guess it could ruin the look of the simple dash design
@@GeorgeAusters yes, maybe I could replace mirror in sunscreen on driver side with some display. To be honest I don't use that mirror at all. Plenty of ideas how to make it 👍
