    I usually find your old videos and it's great to see you much more calm and taking the time to explain instead of talk as fast as you can, your old videos have so much great info but sometimes it is so hard to follow you. Hope to see more vids with great timing.

    Dean, you might want to invest in an oil filter housing cap wrench. It will prevent the damage done by your clamp wrench. Just a friendly suggestion.

    Love your videos! They have helped me in the past. I just purchased a used 2012 550i M sport and it has the passenger and driver restraint warning lights on any info on a fix would be great!?
    Previous owner did back into something very minor but says thats when it came on but I have my doubts as, Im selling my old 2006 525i and the same thing happened randomly a month ago but it was only the passenger restraint warning. As i understand, its something to due with the airbag sensors or such?? Any help would be great anyone??

    Dean, I have a BMW X1 E84 and I have the problem that seems common to other models of the oil plug spinning and unable to get out to replace the thread either by new M13 or replace with Wurth time-sert any chance you could do a video how to extract as there seems no info on you tube anywhere , there is one but it is absolutely useless.
    My theory is to drill oil plug with M6 or M8 half way down and attach a long threaded bar with a sliding weight, like a dent remover, and try to pull it out with bangs and turning. Any thoughts? Would appreciate any ideas you have as my temp seal with RTV, which is working at present, is not an ideal solution. Sump replacement is not really an option to me. Cheers Pete

    Hey doc I really could use ir help with my e60. 2 things. 1 I bought the launch creader elite since u recommended it how do u do coding for retrofits like adding folding power mirrors? I got some from scrap yard but don't know how to code it with the launch.
    #2 I did the 3 stage manifold upgrade on my 525 but the car is a dog. Good dida valves and cleaned vanos solenoid. What else can it possibly be? Only codes coming up it for map controlled thermostat and yes I have the 530i ecu too. Any help would be very appreciated

    Is that not overfilled with coolant ? I thought the level should be the bottom marker inline with the top of the cap ?

    My N52B30 doesn’t seem to start the bleeding procedure. I have tried it countless times but I don’t see or hear any bleeding process.
    Whilst driving the coolant temperature is okay (85-115 degrees celsius)
    Do you have any idea why I can’t get the bleeding process to work?

    I wonder if I have green coolant in my bmw because I had a leak and something tells me the non-dealer mechanic did not use factory coolant nor the one you recommended well fast forward I need a water pump 😩

    I replaced my bmw 328i upper radiator hose..when i used a turkey baster to remove my antifreeze from my coolant tank;, now the red bobber(fluid indicator) is stuck in the down position..how do i fix??? it did NPT BREAK

    Hello.
    Short saying, your vids are great, thanks for that.
    I have a question.
    On a 176433 km bmw 325 I, 2006,n52,b25,box.
    The auto box is getting jercky,. Is now the time to "flush" or just drain the autobox fluid and refresh?
    It's not slipping only sometime a little jerk from 3th to 4th gear,. Just let is be or do something to the oil?
    I am first timer bmw owner, I know the engine "n52" so not the gearbox.,
    Just

    @BMW Doctor: I need your help, I have BMW F10 N52 523i, I get 210901; BSD message alternator missing and 104208; intake pipe pressure sensor electrical short circuit to B+. I have no symptoms in my car everything works perfectly fine but these codes don't go away at all even after clearing it, they just comes back with several others. Please help me fixing this.

    I have a 2012 e92 328i brother, love the inline 6 she has 140K miles and I can start to feel the tranny slipping and gears running too long would you recommend changing the tranny fluid or just let it go out then swap it?

      If it's slipping, you should at least check the fluid level. You may have a slow cooler leak causing the transmission to run low and slip during shifts. Do you have a GM transmission? If so, you can easily find Dex 4 fluid and get a filter. Replace it and reset the adaptions.

      @@S65Trev LOL wrong wrong wrong....these go up to 105 and it's completely normal. It sets different points based on certain parameters. Please don't give advice if you don't know what you're talking about...

    Hi what would cause my e92 to shudder badly when I accelerate hard? I’ve changed the propshaft support bearing and the propshaft rubber doughnut thing but still doing it, if I accelerate then slowly build speed I can then floor it with no issues but if I just floor it straight away it shudders loudly and whole car vibrates.

      Torque converter shutter, tranny low on fluid… do a tranny service and add a transmission anti slip agent to the new oil…

    can someone please help me, i have a n53 engine on which im experiencing low speed pre ignition when the rpms are low and under a load when you put your foot down. It only happens when the engine is worm and when im using e10 fuel which is rubbish by the way, and way this problem seems to stop when i put e5 shell v power fuel. i have a brand new bmw oem spark plug and coil packs

      Could be excessive carbon buildup on piston crowns and combustion chambers. Maybe you could use a scope and look down spark plug holes.

    I used peak blue, when I did my thermostat and water pump. I put in oem parts, never cheap parts that'll break sooner.

    Took my 3 series BMW to get new water pump because over heating. $2000 later the pump works and now coolant tank constantly runs. The car will not heat up and the mechanics said its ok to drive but not to drive to far. The mechanics said they do not know why coolant is constantly running and yes they are so called certified BMW mechanics. Could it be the thermostat stuck?

    hi doc, i have change my coolant tank and cap evenly the electric pump+tstat last year but i always found some stains of coolant all over the expansion tank, the coolant get lowered after 1month to minimum (no light just reading the red stick) and the coolant smell like burnt when i opened up. what do you think?

      Yep it was it was hooked up to my voltage supply while doing this as the battery wasn’t completely charged from sitting around.

    I've got an honest question. Why is my coolant level stick not moving as it should. Seems to be some friction going on. I can help it up and it will stay there and I can push it down and it will stay down.
    What's wrong?
    I mean, it should be a simple floating mechanism.
    This unless there are some serious dirt in the reservoar.....

    Problem in small o ring dosnt come with filter,not even bmw own has one! As you say important part but never found 1 with any brand filter!!

      The Mann filter I buy for my Z4 comes with the small o ring.

      I would advise changing the pan at the same time. But it’s completely up to you what you wish to do I think once you do the pan as the filter is built in change it every second time you change the transmission fluid. I wouldn’t say to change it all the time unless you can afford too but the oil is cheap enough to buy to warrant changing every 60k
