I stumbled across your channel just few weeks ago when I was researching on which cpu to buy. I am a creative professional and was going to buy an I5 12600kf but after watching your videos and understanding the importance of integrated graphics and your processor reviews I bought an i7 12700 and I am glad to have that cpu. I upgraded from 1st Gen ryzen 1400 to i7 and the difference is bonkers! Thank you
which encoder you suggest for 6600xt having R5 3600 for video editing ?
You have a really great channel. Thank you for all the information. I love how you’re focused on processors. That’s exactly what I need. Just ordered a 12900ks because of this video.
I appreciate that!
Great videos, man! Especially those infos about the igpu encoders! Thank you very much for your work! ...and subbed of course :)
👍😇
Wow sir. Great content as always. I got 1917 single core and 17394 in multicore from my 12600k. At full load 100% 63 degree was the max temperature in 28°C room temperature. Using trident z neo 3200 mhz and tuf b660m plus wifi d4. I am super super happy. I also got 1947 in geekbench 5 single core and 11537 in multicore of geekbench
Always very informative and to the point, much appreciated and always look forward to your videos.
Hello sir, thank you for your reviews, do you think it is worth it to buy 5600x processor for gaming consumption،for 6700 xt graphics?
Really appreciate these in depth comparisons you do. Always great info, many thanks.
My pleasure!
Great info!!! Thank you!!!
Very helpful, thanks!
Amazing Overview, we need this for GPUs aswell if possible :)
Coming very soon!
I have PC spec
Ryzen 7 2700x & gtx 1070 8gb
What should i upgrade
Graphic card for 3060ti
Or procesor for ryzen 9 5900x
Or mayby i should switch to intel
Damn. I didn't expect this kind of video will be on your channel thanks for your work
Great content creator, massive information! Very useful.
Do you use Windows 10 or Windows 11 for testing?
Good job brother 😘
Please suggest me that can I use MSI pro B660-A with i5-12600X.
Do you have any tutorials on a build for archviz animation work? Would rally appreciate and like to see your recommendations.
I appreciate that there are countless variations of system making comparison testing virtually impossible. It would however be interesting to know how much the Intel systems benefit from using DDR5.
ruclips.net/video/prAsOtJ3HgU/видео.html Here's my video on the ddr4 vs ddr5 :)
@@theTechNotice Perfect! Exactly what i needed to watch :))
yeee 12th gen favors in ddr5
Hey brother could you talk about the new Dell QD-oled vs LG C2 48 inch as an HDR 10 bit setup for video creation? Are we finally on the cusp of HDR content created by independent creators?
New sub here. Really appreciate the work you've put in here to compare, ahem, apples to apples ;) Adding Mac Studio M1 Ultra numbers into the mix would have been a nice reference, but as a 3D guy, I'm not even considering that route. Great channel!
I thought about it, but since most of these benchmarks are not M1 optimised it's not quite accurate results compared to all the other PC parts :)
Great bro. Yes rtx 3090 is 2 years old abd nvidia is going to launch 4090(450watt tdp) and provide more than 2 times than 3090 performance in 3d works in October 2022. Even 13 gen is coming with 50% better than 12 gen in content creation.
this really helpful thank you
You are doing great by making this type of info vid
hello @ tech notice ,who is the best cpu for architects intel i9 12900k or Ryzen 5950x ? for work with cad,sketchup,lumion..
I9
The most needed video ,thank you for the content great 🥳
Most people might haven't noticed the red and blue lightning in the shelf representing Intel and AMD. Small detail but appreciable. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for this ❤
I am building a PC and I needed this information so Badly
PS: One correction is that you wrote i9 instead of i7 in 12700 series CPU
How much difference would there be in these test if you had PBO turned on?
Not a lot at all, have a look at my individual comparisons :)
Great work, but 12400 + DDR5 looks very strange. It would be great if the test included with DDR4 too.
lol would be good to test it with amd 7000 cpu once it's out which is coming pretty soon.
@@briangrant9942 so is 13th gen
Is Asus Prime Z690 P-D4 Motherboard Compatible with Intel i5 12600k Processor for Video Editing.
Yes
I am using this CPU. Mind blown performance. I ran 14 4k videos and played them after 1 minute i opened task manager and it shows 13.5 gb ram usage, only 8 % of CPU usage wow, i shocked to see how good this CPU. I don't have any dedicated graphics card as of now.
If I put a pc together with a 12th gen i5, but with only a 1030 nvidia graphics card, would it be fine for premier pro editing? From what I understand the cpu and memory of the pc is more important for premier rendering?
Sir, how about playback performance Pr and AE, between cpu+igpu vs cpu+AMD dgpu..does AMD dgpu increase playback performance compared to without dgpu?
nope, amd iGPU doesn't add anything unfortunately...
Personally. I'd like to see the adobe performance of these CPUs in like projects that are way smaller then 4k or 8k.
Like how are they in 1080p/1440p project files?
Definitely a needed video. Budget wise, I went with a 3070 and I’m just sitting waiting, researching on what cpu/motherboard to get, I already have 2 amd (ryzen 5 3600,5600g) pc’s used for gaming but for after affects/content creation… Stuck between should I just stay AMD or just grab intel? Bite the bullet and get the intel for the ddr4 and ddr5 compatibility or wait until amd drops theirs? So many questions. 😂
I feel like if you wait a bit more for the 6000 series cpu's from AMD they will be much better that 12th gen.
The 12th gen launched 2 years after 5000 series so they are better.
Now I magine the 6000 series when it launches
The easy way would be - just upgrade the CPUs to i.e. 5900X or 5950X or if its about gaming to a 5800XD - just grap one or two of these when Zen 4 is released and Zen 3 wil become dirt cheap - and you get an quick an easy upgrade.
Mate! Just want to get your 2cents on which CPU will be better for Audio production. Can i go with the 12700K?
Oh yeah, GREAT pick if not the best! :)
@@theTechNotice which one would be the best?
12600 non k
you don't want e cores for audio, because they mess up with the programs and have the longer ringbus
Is go with the 12700k if you can :)
@@gabrielecarbone8235 Got it. Thanks mate :)
Is there any chance anyone can translate this into cad/cam creator application? I've been trying to figure out how to apply all these numbers, specs, and information to the task of building a rig for working in cad/cam especially fusion 360,meshmixer, light ink scape mostly trace bitmaping, and einscan scanning software. I would appreciate any help from anyone who knows what they are doing.
Wow
Thank you man
Thanks man
It WOULD BE a better comparison if you use the Same clock speed DDR4 RAM on both sides!!
DDR5 RAM on the Intel side and DDR4 RAM on the AMD side also make some differences.
Anyway Great job bro.
So I'm looking to build a 4k editing (Pr and resolve)/AE/fusion/ blender/ UE5 machine and so far I have the following parts in my basket ... i7 12700k, gigabyte z690 aurous pro MB, 64gb Corsair vengeance ddr5 5600 RAM, MSI RTX 3080 12GB GDDR6X, fractal design torrent case, evga super Nova 1300 G+ 80+ gold, 1X XPG s70 blade 2TB m.2 SSD and a thermaltake tough air 310 cpu cooler ..... Any thoughts?
Overkill GPU, I'd get a 850w or a 1000w max :)
@@theTechNotice did you mean overkill PSU? Or should I tone the GPU down to say the 10GB version of 3080?
Great Stuff , this Channel is Amazing. Love the Benchmarks. Me Have a 5900x & 3080 $ 2TB Firecuda 520 & cl14 3600 tridentZ.
Glad you enjoyed it, you running a beast there, better than my rig!!!
Intel iGPU has some encoders, is it possible to make a build with amd GPU and intel CPU to find out how it compares to nvidia gpu paired with amd cpu?
Yes, it's possible :)
good videos but you keep messing up the names in the charts and it got a bit confusing overall good job wonderful comparsion
Oh man! This is the video i was waiting for! I think im actually going with the i9 12k
NOTIFICATION SQUAD! Lets go!
Legend!
It would be very interesting to see if you just put one F various there like 12700kf, so we can observe without the igpu, how much slower it get.
good idea! :)
Please check the benchmark infographics the i7 has been labeled i9 and was causing a bit of confusion...
Hahaha yeah, the i9 and i7s were typos, but if you look at the longer name 12**** then that's correct, thanks for pointing that out!
I started my lga1700 journey with a 12100 on a z690 ddr5 board, and once Raptor lake releases I'll jump up to an i7. More than happy with the i3 for the moment, it's so much faster than the 12 core x79 xeon I was running previously
Did you make the jump to i7
the 5950x gets well over 28k and usually over 29k in cinebench multicore with pbo on (which still uses less power than the 12900k). If you do heavy video editing, take the info on this channel with a grain of salt, its still decent info but there is more to editing than just raw timeline performance, and this guy only dances around intel from a very narrow point of view.
I agree with you 👍
thanks for testing non-k variant too.
In your Cinebench tests score you made a typo where you have i9 in front of i7s
🤦
If I was to get the i9 129000k would i need a higher power supply than a 850w gold? I have a 3080 ftw as well, and will be using a b660 motherboard. Anybody who can help would be great !
Nope, you should be fine.
What happen if Ryzen 5950 vs Threadripper pro 3995… just how big is the different for VRay and blender comparison? Thx, nice video!
I've got a TR3995wx vs 12900ks video coming out soon, I think that should answer your question :)
@@theTechNotice great … looking forward to see before making any new decisions…
Any chance for blender test compare with M1 Ultra also? Thx 🙏🏻
It would have been interesting to add a i7 12700kf to see the difference the iGPU makes.
Best comparison.... 👍
I would love to see Arnold Renderer for Maya be included in those benchmarks as well, not just Blender and Vray. As one of the best CPU renderers out there, it's quite puzzling to not see Arnold in any benchmark videos.
Anyways, nice content, hope to see your channel grow.
👍
A performance / watt and performance / setup cost graph would be helpful!
lol to much
Great job as usual. I was expecting these results but I was surprised in some of the benchmarks where i5s performed better than 5900 and 5950. Too bad that the new AMDs are not out yet. It would have been an interesting comparison.
Can someone help me I can't understand why i5-12600k is better than 5950x? I was planning to get 5950x to use After Effects, I can't believe that 12600k is better than 5950x?.
Please do this for laptop version of these cpus too
I am really very surprised by your channel , I never came across this much content for creators pc build . I think you need some appreciation . do you make video about i5 12600k pc setup which remove all bottle necks on performance in budget range . I am really like that idea . thank you .
Have a look at my $1500 build in the description ;)
Can't wait for Raptor lake and RTX 4080/4090 reviews ;)
Same here. 13 gen will be 40 to 50% better than 12 gen and 12 gen motherboard will support 13 gen as well due to same socket. 4090 will be more than 2 times better than 3090. Wow good times coming always great time with 12 gen
Do u think 5950x is better choice for itx over the 12900k
For cooling yeah! For Performance? Depends what you do!
10:34 i like how on the graf on the right it says i9 12700 and i9 12700k.
bro always got the best vids on youtube rn
It seems logical that throwing an Intel A380 GPU into a Ryzen system would likely bring performance up to the Intel chips? If the hardware encoding is primarily the differentiation in video applications?
Could be, although with Intel CPUs you'd have Deeplink so I'd be interested to see how would they compare? :)
Thank you
Why not enable PBO then?
Coz hardly any performance difference, have a look at the individual comparisons on the channel :)
in 7:02 there is a mistake on the graph the i7 is labeled i9
thanks to this info...and its helpful hoping that 3080 nocs will be featured...waiting
Yep!
@@theTechNotice now this is gonna be great....waiting
I love that you are not biased towards amd like other RUclipsrs
Intel i5 12450H vs ryzen 9 5900HX which is better
I Would be kinda interested to know if the igpu on amd would help their performance. But I do understand you can only test so much at a time
According to my previous limited testing AMD iGPU doesn't add much and has trouble working together with Nvidia, since you'd have to install Radeon Drivers and GeForce drivers at the same time.... 🤔
@@theTechNotice AHH I must have missed that video. but great video as always I see you are on your way to 100k subs but your videos are 1million+ sub quality
thanks for video, just upgrade ryzen 3600 on 5900x (rtx 2070), for me is best option cause ryzen 5900x bought for 360 euro, with same motherboard, maybe will look into ryzen 7000 when they will be selling
9:51 i wonder where can i find i7 12900 and i9 12700K processor? hahaha. al the graph for i9 and i7 are wrong.. Sorry as a graphic designer, very hard to miss that.
🤦♂️ haha
what about 5000g series?
Have been wondering this, what about 5600g or 5700g vs i5 12400 @tech Notice ??
sorry but i want to ask what is the LED in the case 5:32
it could come in handy
and AMD scales better with lower CL memory kit cl16 or cl14 would have been better against DDR5
At @13:47 he mentions probably the biggest win intel has had in years for content creators. Amd must create a response for this or they will lose small independent creators on a budget.
it's been 2 days since I was surfing the internet because I'm building a pc, now I think I can stop here.
Thanks a lot for this help.
I appreciate all the time and energy you put into this, must have taken weeks mate, Jesus 😳
Well, been benchmarking them since December, just finished :)
@@theTechNotice In Photo editing why the 12400 performed better than the 12500?
I7 are names as I9 in in the graphical chart. But thanks for the comparison video.
I'd go with the 12th gen I7 12700K. its not that expensive and pretty good for adobe apps and general usage.
Good choice!
So which CPU is “Best-bang-4-Buck” $$$$$$$$$ ( Intel i5 or i7 ? )
Very cool, creator tech channel.
seemed not fair... should have used the same memory platform...
No 5700X :(
What would it take to have you make me a pc?
This is perfect, yes there might be new CPUs coming out. But how many average Joe's are out there struggling with current financial situations and having to explain to the wife that they are picking the best bang for buck!
but the important question is where are the Ryzen 6000 CPUs, any ideas
Ryzen 6000 are laptop CPUs, have to wait for the 7000 series :)
@@theTechNotice ok
I'm late!
Back when it started making sense to buy CPU's again, here's to better pricing and no more crypto-crunch.
There are no bad products here, the only deciding factor is the price aka what is the better deal
For those of us with a Ryzen3, always wondered how the 5800x3d fared for 3d workflow (viewport, modelling, etc. - not for rendering) and if 3d cache benefited application like Blender.
Honestly not a lot at all, here's a great article about it: www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/AMD-Ryzen-5800X3D-vs-5800X-for-Content-Creation-2331/
@@theTechNotice Thank you it's super helpful. Their Unreal test is probably the closest benchmark as to how it would perform in a 3d software ... Maybe that's why we haven't seen a broader mid-cycle refresh of their lineup
There is quite a difference from X to G, one has a gpu integrated
Just a tip! Never watch a video like this after watching a Formula 1 Race.... Dunno if anyone can relate lol
Compare them with ryzen 6000 series
Damn that i5 12600k...
I think 12600k is clear bang for buck winner cpu at $280 usd. The 12700k $100 more but not producing $100 more worth of performance, it’s more like $70 more of performance if we want to put it in a money perspective
Mother board price makes it hard choice but damn 600k is huge jump from 400 as well as having said that 600k also need good cooling.
@@somerandomfatguy.3384 my build is msi B660 mortar for (current price $159usd) got my 12600k from eBay for $240 and using the ID-COOLING SE-226-XT air cooler(1700 bracket included) for $45 on Amazon and my cpu hasn’t hit over 69 degrees under heavy load(3D rendering and multitasking). Normal usage it doesn’t go above 55. Cooling the 12600 isn’t an issue compared to its predecessors.
It seems that the 12700k is also the best bang for buck gaming cpu that is if you don’t include the 5800x3d which I don’t from my personal usage and imo of both cpus.
You didn‘t activate pbo? My 5950x easiöy gets 29000 points at cinebench r23
In Photoshop the 12400 did better than 12500 is that a fluke i guess
What about the iMac 24-inch with M1 CPU. It is selling for $1,100 refurbished on Amazon. It comes with 4k display and matching keyboard and mouse. How can you beat that offer ?…..Thats definitely the “Best-Bang-4-Buck”.
The R9 5950X I got for $819 AUD XD
Its so goooooooooood!!!!
