    I have a $7 Amazon/Chinese version of that tool and I love it. It stays in my tool bag because I use it so much.

    I have a diff brand of those swedgers there silver and a lot of ppl are like these things are junk when really I use them just fine and there cheap. You lightly expand each side until you can fully squeeze and get the right size. Plus there small and compact so they fit well in the bag

    To make it easier try to annealing the copper pipe first. You don't need to get it very hot. Much easier.
