I use the Hilmor. I really like it. For our next one we would go navac since we use the flaring tool already, but I think I would miss not having the 1/4" head to much.
I recently bought the navac flaring tool (using promo code shoptalk of course) and I love it. The fact that this doesn’t do 1/4” sadly is a deal breaker for me. The insertion depth appears to be a bit shallow. This is a great review btw!
When I got done with the video and uploaded it it occurred to me that I didn’t measure the depth. I will.
I like the manual pistol grip model. Sometimes I want to expand the pipe slightly so that it fits in the female of the air handler fitting.
That’s a good point. I did that too.
My company uses the reftekk expander. Its a makita 18v platform. Compared to size and weight i would much rather switch to these.
👍
Looks like a killer tool. I use Hilmor hydraulic one. Can't justify the extra cost for how little I would use it since mine works just fine. So feel free to send it to me when your done demoing it..lol
Can you do a video expanding 1-1/8
Sir, what is the cost ₹ for this?
Too big not good for compact places like the flaring better
Video just shows the tool doing 3/8” what a joke
I bet it’s going to be part of a angry journal entry tonight
@@HVACShopTalk you should really focus on making better content instead of being offended
Can’t I do both
