    Good for you Charles and it's okay to make mistakes but admit them and check your work. I have had that happen to me on cars. For example on my car I kept getting a code from a faulty senser changed my oil on it code would still not clear but at first it was intermittent when it was low on oil finally figured out it was my cam position senser on the b position and put the original factory one on and removed the replacement one I put on temporarily until I could order a new one and the code cleared up. Heck I even ordered defective parts before but it's also a good way to learn what brands are good for replacements and which are junk as I don't see hvac as bieng they diferent from cars And look you got a maintenance plan from the custumer and some respect because you did not swoop in and try and quote him a bunch of repairs that he does not need. People need to stop with trying to Make a, quick buck and always pushing new systems they fill up junkyards and landfills. If it broke don't fix it trick is keep them going until they break. Unless the system was undersized. And Charles I hate when guys moan the system is oversized replace it crap. I would much rather have a oversized system within reason VS an undersized system and to argue I am right when I had a apartment that was 650 square feet there were 2 12,000 Btu window ac units in a, sleeve and they were perfect and only made my electric bill go up 20 dollars in the hottest summer months. So it was oversized between the 2 by maybe 4,000 btus but that's okay it did it's job when it was really hot out and humid. And that's my point.

    When I use core depressors I keep my eyes on the guage while in turning it, when it starts to read pressure I just give it one or two turns again because sometimes the core pin can slip to the side of the depressor if depressed to much especially if you're using a cheap depressor tool

  • @Balticblue93
    @Balticblue93 4 часа назад

    I threw those exact core depressors away after I found them to be faulty in my readings. I use the newer Fieldpiece and the Accutool core tool fittings. I don't care for the Appion units but having good luck with the other two. We have multiple sets for each van.

    Yep...more than 50% of HVAC are scammers. Licensed contractor and all ! Sad. We need some HVAC police to get rid of those types. I wonder if one of those handheld infrared temperature guns could give you an accurate reading for the evaporator coil. If it would, those would be a great asset to have for various needs. They likely have the filter located in the return register grille which I think is best.

    Good job Charles txv jobs to me should not cost more than 1500 dollars including adding any refrigerent and vacuaming out the line set too. Hope you get it Charles and get a service contract from them and then quote them to fix that crappy drain pipe issue. Screw them large companies and that's the problem nowadays it's hard to find old school mom and pipe buisneses for hvac or even plumbing. Don't these big corporate guys get that you make more money off of service contracts and maintaining systems VS just wanting to sell new systems all the time. And fancy gadgets like air purifyers heck they could make money too off of duct cleaning services too. Remember new systems and installs take a lot more time if done right VS only doing what's necasarry. Ohh and Charles no oem txv use a good aftermarket one but 10 years out of the original is not bad for a txv.
