    It’s funny that you say it’s always people with money that take the shortcuts. As soon as I saw that antique car and all those toys, I thought to myself those are also the people that bitch about the price of a service call. Good video.

      They bought the house after the previous homeowner had this done. That homeowner was her husbands parents. Would love to hear the conversation at the dinner table.

    The evaporator is still missed matched with the condenser. They probably come out in the winter and remove some of the refrigerant in heating so it doe's not Tripp the high pressure control. And in the summer they put back the refrigerant for cooling. I've seen that done quite a bit in Souther California.

      She did say the heating bills were higher than the last house. They bought this house after the previous homeowner had the work done. HER INLAWS! LOL

      That's what happens when you don't replace the equipment with correct size equipment any replacement equipment to me should exceed what the original equipment did not perform worse.

    I usually walk away from wealthy customers who want to pay cheap wages, it never ends well, want parts at cost, some look up the parts online and call you out on it, how dare you make money on me, and lifetime warranty.

    Amazing. That's got to be sheer incompetence; if they did it right, they would have made more money on the correct equipment. Plumber, thinking he can do HVAC too? An electrician should have at least had the wiring right...

    • @gabrielstern4992
      @gabrielstern4992 2 месяца назад +1

      Exactly and by the way most hvac guys need to know electrical work and plumbing too. But plumbing for hvac is very diferent from plumbing for a bath tub or toilet hvac equipment has super high pressures.

      My opinion is that you should not be able to purchase that equipment without a license and anyone selling it to people without a license should be fined. Also must be with the match indoor coil or indoor air handling unit "or no sale".

      @@myHVAClifepeople just want to make the sale. Being strict with the regulations limits business and profits. It happens in every industry. (Cough) VW (cough).

    Can't force em to spend their money. I do mis-matched systems all the time when the custy on a budget, warranty work or property mgt. Change piston/txv and it's usually gonna be fine. I always let em know it's not recommended, and they initial the statement on the invoice with a quote for the coil. Follow up with some during the slow season to see if they are ready.

      I agree . Alot of people don't realize all evaporator coils have a design psi rating . Like Aspen or ADP have 500. A lot of new techs just look at air handler and say mismatched because there taught that way all new. Well all new is big money

    • @chrisseabolt9593
      @chrisseabolt9593 2 месяца назад +1

      Everyone gets caught up on seer rating yes it may be more surface area on indoor and outdoor w refrigerant tubing. However 6 out of 10 duct systems. Not a low enough static on return side
