Had a company Frankenstein a system. Took the original evaporator out (hole in coil) and put the replacement in with no DAT. Bypass damper was loose and kept opening causing coil to freeze up 😂
Noooo not the micro channel coils on a carrier. Cmon carrier! I install carrier and haven't seen one yet.but one thing i cant stand is when you remove air handler panel insulation comes off to easy and then you have to tape it. And thats with it not running
Had similar problem at my company installed that same carrier coil and and condenser on existing furnace 4 damper zones no dat sensor and it kept freezing even with all zones kept open within 5 min I went back and put a regular N coil and it started working normal no more freezing why would it work now but not with that micro channel coil any ideas I was stumped on that call the first two days til I changed the coil
More young techs need to subscribe to this channel the content always focuses on hvac issues beyond replacing run caps.
My next video is a capacitor video, but making fun of my lack of saying what I am thinking.
As always, great video!
Thank you for the info and video
Thank you!

These new case coils do the same thing. Insulation sticks and peels off the door!
Central Carolina AC?

Maybe because the micro channel is more efficient?
If it has no DAT sensor the zone control has no way of to know when it gets to cold. This is Honeywell zoning, another system may work differently.
hey put a link in for that badass pump you got

You must be looking at a different video? I didn't notice a pump in this one.
@@realSamAndrew at 4:28 he's using a transfer pump.
@@search_eternalgood catch. I must have been looking away at just that moment. The pump was on screen for 9 seconds. I counted 'em!
