Hi Richie! Very interesting videos with many ideas in there! I especially, like the layout of the Fire sequencer. And thanks for mentioning my channel!

This is sick. I remember eying off the akai fire when it was released, but wasn't super interested unless it had great integration with ableton or bitwig. I didn't want to fall down the rabbit hole of trying to make a script myself.

This is a great series. There isn't lots of content of bitwig as a "live" performance tool.

That was a really inspiring demo. I've created a few butwig scripts for my hardware interfaces, but this was by far the most creative approach I've seen. I will look at creating similar script for the novation launchpad. Of course, the DrivenByMoss interfaces are an excellent too. Oh. And thanks for calling out Polarity. His channel is absolutely packed with great tips.

Unfortunately the script is broken since some weeks. Probability can’t be adjusted anymore. Pity, I really love it.

    Wow! Really awesome!
Richie- I downloaded the newest script today and everything on my Akai Fire worked and it is now a tool instead of a brick.
I don't know if i missed a step- i rewatched the segment a few times and never got note repeat to fire off.
I can adjust the grid and add cool repeats that way if nothing else.
Thanks so much for sharing this stuff and your insight on production.
    Cheers

Simply nobody says how to configure and make the keyboard simply work, use the timbres in BITWIG... that is, just connect and output sound... the Nektar gx61 for example, doesn't emit any sound, at least I can't use it, I and so many other users, for lack of a decent tutorial, (We bought Nektar, which comes with BITWIG and it just doesn't work) PLEASE MAKE A TUTORIAL TEACHING HOW TO CONFIGURE AND MAKE NEKTAR USUAL WITH BITWIG...

    Good performer, really awesome performance.
B u t.... because performance as well as creating music are very unique and individual skills, such demos at first hand look impressive, but they are helpful like a radio - because they show, what can be achieved by some eager, lucky user - and that's it.
Everyone has to find his/her own solution and... as impressive as Richie Hawtin's performance is: Trying to copy it (or even "only" his techniques) is pointless and not practicable at all.
So... for informational purposes: Nice videos, but really o n l y for information.
Of course some ideas can act as inspiration, but again: Not a single one, neither all of them will replace an individual, self found solution in Bitwig Studio..
That's why I'm no friend of such content. It would be much more helpful, to have clear and as complete as possible documentation available, so that other users would be capable of finding such solutions like the one shown here for themselves (and to those, who have "learned" that criticism is "bad": I'm not the only one - even on RUclips, even of those guys on RUclips using Bitwig Studio - who miss that documentation... and the less open minded people simply don't use BWS at all).
This leads to the ugly situation, that even intentional made solutions (inside of BWS) partly are seen as possible bugs...
To give credit to the truth...: I'm pretty sure, a detailed documentation is intentionally not made thoroughly, because many of BWS's properties (including quite some devices) have never left even testing stage and Bitwigs creators simply ... expect not little changes in the foreseeable, near future a n d ...
one would perhaps fear that it casts a bad light on a now well-known program when it becomes common knowledge that the so-called "releases" (sold as releases!) consist of a not small double-digit percentage of beta if not alpha software.
Remark: I won't react on comments, because that is meant as comment to the videos of Bitwig instead as reaction to all the others here.
And don't forget: Insulting and nonobjective-destructive comments are first and foremost an unmasking of their creators. Constructive criticism though is always welcome!

Ableton Push and Maschine are doing that for 10 years already with better visual feedback and more functions to control :D
