Everspace 2 is the most impressive single player game I've played in years, much less in the space sim genre. What they're doing here is truly laudable, and I hope people come out to give them the support they deserve.
I wish they would improve some of the lacklustre core-features of the game - 1. Real companions that can actually fly alongside you or join your ship as crew, instead of just appearing in cutscenes and a skill tree. 2. Purchasable ship variety across different factions and regions, like in Freelancer. 3. Space-stations and other landing locations which are a bit more fleshed out, with more interactive elements, interesting NPCs, instead of just a menu. Like Freelancer / Rebel Galaxy Outlaw.
@@HighlandStudio91 Because they aren't loading levels. You clearly don't understand the actual tech behind video games enough to give you any kind of answer. This is a 2 hour long video discussion you need.
Yeah it was terrifying and awe-inspiring; the skeleton of Hispania. My teenage brain blew away at the scale of the derelict ship, and the hundreds of thousands of lives lost. A whole sub-species.
Yay, OA has commentary regarding the DLC! I spent Labor Day weekend recovering from the stomach virus catching up on ES2 before the DLC comes out. No regrets!
Invested in this during early access and it's one of my favorite space games, a nice mix of arcade shooter and rogue like and looks fantastic in the new unreal engine.
Same but I doubt it would work since they have to let you fit in those small spaces for those puzzles if they can't let us launch our small ships from a capital class ship that we also control that would be cool and might work tbh
Yeah, simulators have ruined my brain. I can't enjoy vehicle combat games anymore unless they have realistic damage systems like IL-2 and DCS. It's an order of magnitude more satisfying than killing a hollow, singular hitbox
I played it and it is amazing i look forward to it reminds me of the Valkyrie from Galaxy on fire (looks very much like it / developer from Everspace are devs that were laid off / worked on Galaxy on fire) damm good memories
bright future for the everspace franchise. i hope to see it evolve into something truly epic. the endgame of Everspace 2 is basically nonexistent. rifts were rushed and is just a few ships spawning over and over and thats it. same boss every time. very boring. but the rest of the game was chill. beautiful space graphics. the ships and their builds could use a lot of work because not all ships can play on the harder difficulty levels. will revisit in 5+ years.
At what point did the base game go to Unreal Engine 5, just curious? I played quite a bit of the Game Pass version (last save game is from May 2023), so wondering if that had happened by then.
Yes it does. I’m using dual joysticks and it’s a treat!. Its arcadey feeling compared to Elite Dangerous but Everspace 2 is a great game to get right into the action. The ships have strong thrusters compared to ED ships so yaw and pitch are much quicker which is kind of nice honestly.
Pretty sad they couldn't make the game more of an open world without any loading screens... They also said they would work on co-op for Everspace 2 which finally never happened and there are talks of co-op for Everspace 3... I don't believe but oh well. I was pretty burned out of Everspace 2, I was glad it was over, I don't think I'll jump back into it for those DLC, the game was very tedious after so many hours. Playing the space necromancer was super cool with that special ship though and I was definitely glad there was fast travel teleport. It's not really what I was expecting from a DLC, I wished they included more about those weird alien structure you could rarely find and more story around it, more types of ship, maybe squadrons and whatnot. It's still a beautiful game though and people who really enjoyed it will love this DLC, for me, I"ll wait for the next rockfish game.
This game is absolute trash. A puzzle game first and foremost with tiny spurts of actual ARPG elements. Biggest bait and switch in gaming history. Devs should be sued for fraud labeling this as an ARPG in space.

For me it had to be Everspace...1.

You forgot to mention that the update should also include doing away with that lousy black loading screen, when you approach a planet.
@@HighlandStudio91 not possible. it is loading things.
@@Karthik-pn2yj Then why is it possible in games like Starlink: Battle For Atlas and No Man's Sky??
@@HighlandStudio91 they don't use unreal engine

Everspace 2 really is a quality space game, new DLC is great news!
Bethesda: we made a buggy
Rockfish: hold my beer
Could you imagine exploring space and then just come across a giant skeleton in space. That would be terrifying.
iv actualy found one in the game during a mission i was wtf this is clearly from the gas giant bellow
Yeah it was terrifying and awe-inspiring; the skeleton of Hispania. My teenage brain blew away at the scale of the derelict ship, and the hundreds of thousands of lives lost. A whole sub-species.
Really looking forward to this update!

I can’t wait to play this expansion!
Pretty jazzed for this. Loved my time with Everspace 2.
Nice but I wish they would add larger ship classes.
Same man, I really wanna fly some of the npc ship types

I'm up for hit , the stability of the game is great , I'm looking forward to it ..
It took Bethesda 11 months to add a buggy to their game
Does it actually work?
Too bad this game has the depth of a puddle.
@@Vandetta333 the story was decent but the customization is not good
@@Vandetta333 the gameplay is what matters tho. not whatever you mean by "depth"
It also took NMS and Elite Dangerous 1 year to add a vehicle to the game and is this not an Everspace 2 video what brought Starfield
UEVR time with this 🤙

Everspace feels like a Game that plays after Galaxy on fire 2
I believe they told me like 20 hours will ask them Tomorrow
I immediately thought of Valkyrie from GoF2 as well!
@@Joshua-dh3uj hey told me it is an easter egg for us Fans of gof2
This is totally Valkyrie 2.0 and I'm so here for it! Activate the -Khador- Alice Drive!

It isn't long ago. End of april or May this year.
I knew something would happen with that giant skeleton.
I see, I though the next DLC would have been the one that'll add the last system in the map, Aethon? Maybe that's for a bigger expansion later.
It's a great game for sure but it's too Arcady for me to be one of the best space games of all time.
Everspace 2 is desperately missing VR. There is such a large community in space and flight games for it.
Any chance that there’s an graphical update for consoles as well since using ue5?
So far it seems same on console
VR support?
VR able?
hooefully they will have another expansion for okkar worlds. maybe we will get to fight a okkar frigate or capital ship one day!
I love this game! Such a beautiful labor of love!!! RIBBIT @ObsidianAnt!!!
Does this game have joystick/hotas support? And if so, how good does it feel?

I wish SP games stuck with me more but I just have more fun with other people.
how is trading and economy like in everspace?
Able to sustain being a trader but not as dynamic as like rebel galaxy
I'm thinking to try this game out. You guys recommend mouse+keyboard or hotas?
Mnk for sure. It's way too fast and twitchy for hotas
Controller
Everspace 2 feels like a mobile game, with the simplistic combat and these fucking repetitive puzzles. But at least it's darn pretty to look at.

I wish the devs weren’t so aggressively opposed to making this sequel support VR.
funny seeing the comment section talk bad about the game for no reason
No reason?
♥♥♥♥♥
I wish they would re-do the beginning of the game; it's not very good
getting a space game with a cockpit view but choosing to be a ghost instead is wild but I guess to each his own
Just feels like a mobile game
The ONLY bad side of this game is that ship speed without a boost is too damn slow, like ALL space games.
Cyberpunk already came with cars...
Firsty wirsty...

no a space game .... a Iphone pew pew game in space
The flight engine looks terrible . In fact there is no flight engine so no thanks.
The flight engine you desire is linked to Toggle Inertial Dampeners and is unbound by default.
