- Check out this step by step guide to Pimp your Weber kettle. In this particular video, I'll be showing you a wheel mod.
Done in less than an hour. I was going for a retro look for my Weber Kettle. I want to thank Joe F, Vancouver, WA. for the inspiration. Links provided below on where I bought the parts for these mods.
I will also be doing 2 other videos.
1.) Installing the grill vent handle.
2.) Installing a new thermometer.

Wow, your kettle is very very clean!!!
It was fairly new in this video, but I clean after each use, cover it and it's kept under a patio. Not much can happen to it.
I pimped my Weber Kettle with a Spyder Grill Venom air controller and a Hunsaker Smokers air diverter! Gonna do a 3 wheel upgrade soon
How are you liking the Venom?
I LOVE IT!! I can actually control the temps and once I set the Venom it stays pretty close to that number. It fluctuates but stays within that number. If you're thinking of getting one I would say "what are you waiting for"?? 😏😏 @@JaxxDrinkwater

Pimping up the smokers.. .Nice How to video Jax.. the red gives it the old school look. This wasn't your first BBQ... I can tell hehe great vid.
I just used 12 inch wheels on mine, to make it roll better on ruff ground and lift it up 3 inches. I cut the end of a broom extension stick off and put it in the third leg to level it. I also used nylon bushings on the axles from Lowes, but they came the wrong size. I had to drill the center out to 3/8 which didn't go as well as I hoped so the wheels don't turn as smoothly as I hoped, but it works and I don't have to bend over as much to use it.

I haven't done it, but Harbor Freight has some good wheels for 5$ each that you could make nice wheels on your grill. I have used them to make kayak and canoe carts.

I have no idea what my next project is. I put wheels on my smoking cabinette today so i am all out of ideas at the moment hehe

Any mods on up grading the Weber entire leg assembly. The factory leg/ wheels are very flimsy .

I like your idea but, I was hoping to get different rear wheels then what you used. I found some used Bolens wheels. They look really cool. The dimensions are similar. I have a Weber genesis silver. Is it even possible?
