I can't be the only one who squealed at the reveal of Pepper in his new sweater!
As soon as I saw the sweater I was so excited to see it on him!
I'm not an ASMR kinda person but...boy oh boy those up-close HD shots of yarn with a side of Toni's gorgeous nails are *compelling*. Also love the wholesome arc featuring the cutest heckin' dog sweater on a scraggly little man.
She always has such GREAT nails!!! I noticed that she had them done between the stitching and her "talking to the camera" shots, and I'm DYING to see them!!!!!

Peppers vest!! He reminds me of my childhood dog so much and always looks like he’s being held hostage 😂
Everything about him just screamed, "MAAAAAAHM! WHY???" But he so cute tho!
He reminds me of my first dog too. In the story in my head, he looks like that because he’s upset the cameras are on. My little Frizzle HATED photography.

I've made two tops with CotLin- one knit, one crochet - and they are so soft and comfy to wear! The solid color is definitely softer than their speckled variety, though.
So I finally did it, I picked up my hook and followed your tutorial after watching you for a while. Now I'm looking for cotton yarns for a dress I'm knitting, can't wait!

@@cezzzarrr i think they just used knitting and crocheting interchangeably (which is fair), but some knit patterns ask for hooks, especially when casting on.
@@cezzzarrr no I knit normally, but I'm finally trying crochet.
I love how we watched Toni's transition from being a cat mom to being a dog mom. Her reaction to Pepper in the sweater was the greatest! 😂

Pepperoni is so adorable! I put this doggo sweater in my Etsy cart! Going to make my Labrador, Athena, a vest using Happy Place.
I haven't crocheted with a cotton/linen blend yet. But years ago I wove some hand towels. I machine wash and dry them. Then I press them. They have held up amazingly well.

Thanks for doing a yarn snob review!!! I missed these! I agree with you Toni, 100% on Billow. I tried it in pink for a breast cancer survivor's chunky scarf and I couldn't STAND crocheting with it. Yes, it was soft, but I couldn't work with it so I went with CoBoo held double.

i hope i get to try happy place soon. got to test myself to it! currently using mercerized cotton, Yarn and Colors "MUST-HAVE" 2 weight. it's beautiful and i like the way it glides on my Prym G hook. But I agree that center pull does get muddled and has slowed me down more than I'd like. I am enjoying crochet, Thanks to my first into Erica✨ Thanks for my re-introduction Toni✨

I love me a good mercerized cotton though. I'm making a dress out of their new Animation yarn. Yeah, it's *supposed* to be for amigurumi but I'm a rebel and don't follow the rules 🤪 The dress is more form fitting and the stitch definition is UNREAL. It's quickly becoming a favorite.
My favorite cotton yarn is actually Paintbox Cotton from Love crafts. I've made so many summer tops and cardigans and worn them a ton and they all look as good as the day I finished them!

Cotlin is great for clothing! It’s one of my go-tos for kid items. Very soft.
Highly recommend the FiddleSticks cotton yarns, Wren 8ply and Finch 10ply, they have 36 colours and they seem to keep the under tone the same for cool colours and for warm colours so you can get a varied pallette and know that tonely they will sit nicly together

Wool/Cotton Blends are my favorite!!! If I can ever stop buying Happy Place, I'll try Woolen Cotton LOL!
Happy Place will always have my number 1 spot, but this Woolen Cotton is a dream to use. Definitely try it for colors you can't find in Happy Place :-)

I like to use mercanized cotton for amigurumi :-) it holds its shape well and has good colors. Although I do like it thinner than worsted weight
i've been crocheting or knitting a new sweater for my dog, Jules, every October for 8 years now....this October will be 9 years.....i make her a new one because she tears them up scratching her fleas....New Orleans is a breeding ground for fleas...gotta treat her every month with flea stuff.....but i use scrap yarn balls of left overs to make her sweaters.....one year i made her a sweater out of Tunsian Simple stitch....it was so cute on her

I'm working with CotLin right now in a striped project and there is no colour bleeding at all! Those pigments aren't going anywhere ❤

Great question! The best yarn for face and dish cloths is 100% cotton, or a cotton blended with other cellulose (plant) fibers. Something like WeCrochet's Dishie would be a fantastic choice.
My favorite most favorite yarn is the Mayflower Cotton Merino. It is a 50 / 50 blend. I believe it is discontinued which really sucks as this is what I'm making my temperature blanket with it. I hope I bought enough...😢

I have actually used Comfy to make knitted toys. So much nicer than just acrylic. (Oh, and Billow sucks for knitting, too)
