Made from high quality, durable materials
Designed for quick and simple application
Refrigerator Control Board Kit; Use With Dometic DMH1072/ DM2862/ DM2852/ DM2652 Refrigerators. With Power Board: Yes
Dometic provides branded solutions for mobile living in the areas of Climate, Hygiene and Sanitation, Food and Beverage, Power and Control and Safety and Security. Our mission is to make the mobile life easy. This is a replacement lower control board for select Dometic gas absorption refrigerators. The lower control board is the main circuit board on the refrigerator and controls the ignition of the propane and the power to the AC element. This item is compatible with the following models: DM2652; DM2662; DM2663; DM2852; DM2862; DM3862; NDM1062; NDR1062; RM2351; RM2354; RM2451; RM2454; RM2551; RM2554; RM2620; RM2652; RM2662; RM2820; RM2852; RM2862.
Several DIY online videos suggest that if your Frig is not working on AC and you have check the power supply, the glass fuses and heating element, than its likely that the lower control board is bad. So I went this route and purchase a new lower control board, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem. I was fortunate that Amazon allow this item to be returned for a refund. I was pretty much resigned to running the frig off LP gas until I learned that the upper control board could cause this issue. So I purchased a upper control board and it solved the problem. My frig now runs off of AC or gas, depending on if the AC is available. Therefore, if you are have a similar problem with your RV refrigerator, know that replacing the upper control board may solved your problem.

If your cooling system is leaking, that is a big issue and requires the refrigerator to be removed. As long as that is not the issue, then you should be able to fix it by replacing either fuses/breakers or a control board. Parts available here: amzn.to/3z5ssWE
This is what we ended up doing in our RV for the fridge: ruclips.net/video/mxYPcA0Mvu4/видео.html

I started the troubleshooting the electrical system AC first and then found out that I didn't have any DC going to the fridge. Turned out that a fuse was blown (doing its job). So just replaced it and it started right up.

This is a fantastic video that helped lead me to my problem. I had no power to the refrigerator. I followed your advice up to the DC input power (red wire). The red wire does exit the connector and leads directly to the boiler thermal switch, BUT it also has a hidden fusible link right before the thermal switch. You will see what looks like black electrical tape around the red wire ( this is the fusible link. The fusible link looked good but it was was bad because this is where my power stopped and I had voltage across the link. In a pinch I jumped the link (until I can replace it) and Voila, power restored. Thank you for leading me down the path!

The round item with the popped out button is called a Thermodisk. It is a safety device and will interrupt operation if it is over heated. It can be tested for 12v DC on both sides also. The 5/6 wire harness can be tested plugged in with fine probes. You can place the negative off the mm into the red wire and the positive to the orange, that is power up to the control panel aka the eye brow. Keep on red, the green in the upper right corner is gas down and to black is electric down.

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  2 года назад +1

I don't, but I would start by narrowing it down by testing the truck outlet and making sure all that is good. If the tow vehicle is sending voltage, then I would test the wires in the trailer connector. Those 7 way connectors sometimes come loose inside and you have to pull the cap off and tighten it. Hope that helps.

I just fixed a 10-year-old and it was the control board. I ordered it and the board on the refrigerator face being it was just $160 both boards together, on Amazon. I also have real ice cubes now. I slid the temp bar on a fin up to the top and its really cold now. Overnight ice. I also keep a frozen 2 litre bottle in there, which helps. Thank you. You talk like I do and think. The new Dometic refrigerator was $1386 at Camper World. Not installed.

If it's popping a breaker, than the 120v power is shorting somewhere. Can you run it on propane ok? If so, it might be a 120v heating element.

So our camper is at a seasonal campground. The fridge worked fine on 110 but we wanted a bigger fridge so I pulled the dometic out
Same fridge as jn this video.
We have not had a battery in our camper for 3 years as we run power off 110
4 days since I pulled it out of camper and the fridge does not work when I plug it in my garage?
No lights ON on front panel.
Would the battery wires have anything to do with this?
