I love how much you love Charlie. I know everyone loves Nick-as they should because he’s also the best-but I feel like despite being the main character Charlie can be a little under appreciated. He is so sweet and understanding and also so bold and brave and cares about everyone’s feelings and especially Nick’s. I just loved hearing u talk about how much you love Charlie.
I know I'm years late, but I love this comment. Charlie is soo dear to me, absolute precious baby and he's just so sweet and kind and yet so strong and confident in what he wants. He's just about the bravest character. The list goes on and on, I know alot of people do love Charlie too, but he does generally sadly get overshadowed a bit by Nick. I don't blame anyone for it, I love Nick too, but I often get a bit sad that there's such a loud outpouring of blatent love for Nick that sometimes the love for Charlie kinda just falls by the wayside. So thankyou for loving Charlie too and leaving beautiful comments like this 🙌🏽
And did you notice how every time we see Nick wearing a hoodie for the rest of the season, it's the one he lent to Charlie in episode 2? I have a strong suspicion he never washed it after Charlie wore it...💕💕💕💕
In the webcomic they show Nick typing a couple texts after the kiss at the party but then finally throwing his phone across his room... I wish they showed that in the show
😂😂 When I tell you I literally watched the show and could repeatedly hear that song 😂 I go back and watch these reactions just for a good laugh at that lol
Defending Tao... Yes, he is annoying.. yes he is insecure.. but he was friends with Charlie at the time he was bullied really bad. Make sense for him to be protective of Charlie..
Right, it’s like I understand but I think it’s a way that Tao could’ve done it better because everyone can’t handle tough love. And being that Charlie is already so fragile, he could’ve been a little gentle with him.
He’s also very scared to lose his friends and be alone which he has no idea how to deal with and the people he’d confide in all seem to be going in new directions and he can’t handle it. By the end he realizes it’s his problem and he’s been off putting and making it hard for Charlie to talk to him
Yes, this also. I hope we explore next season why he essentially has “abandonment issues”. I would love to digest and get to know these characters a little more.
I'm up for a re-watch. I've watched it at least half a dozen times in the past week since I've gotten Netflix back. If I had known about this series I would have gotten it earlier. It's been decades since high school for me and had soooo many triggers.
Now that I’ve started watching your reactions to “Skam” Season 3, i’m going back and looking at some of your earlier reactions, and since you asked for recommendations, I’m gonna throw one out at you (fully realizing somebody may have already recommended it): a Thai show called “Bad Buddy.” It’s different from “Skam” or “Heartstopper” or “Young Royals,” and its very obvious product placements (a usual thing with Thai series) take some getting used to, but it’s definitely worth watching and is available with English subtitles on RUclips.
I think Tao is anything but two dimensional. As a person with borderline personality disorder I see myself in him 100%. He has some *traits* and while I would not diagnose people (even fictional characters) like that he gives me comfort in his relatability. I love him. I get that many people don't. Many people don't like me either. I was exactly like him as a teen when I was having a hard time with it all.
First I would like to say that you are an amazing human being with an amazing heart and kind soul, same with Tao. I said Tao is two dimensional because his character for the most part is only shown to be jealous but as the show continuous, he grows layers to him where we see he’s compassionate and just afraid to be alone. But I don’t dislike Tao, I just had difficulty understanding his way of thinking but always gave him grace as people we’re all flawed and have reasons for everything we do.
I do love this show - and young people are so lucky to have it. When I was this young (late 70's) good luck finding queer TV - well there were queer charactors who were stereotypes without their own stories - like Mr Humphreys from are you being served - google it.. and good luck finding a Lesbian on TV What is also so lovely about this is that it is a sweet love story, but so much more. I like how all sorts of issues are dealt with. Have to say I have become a diehard fan is just so damn cute and positive. So many of the charactors are awesome - love them all apart from Harrys homophobes and Imogen - who seems a bit clueless
Yes!! Same. Like even for me growing up, we didn’t have a ton of representation outside of the stereotypes. So it’s just beautiful that the new generation gets to get this because representation is everything!!
All minorities tend to be portrayed as stereotypes to some extent. Things are slowly getting better, but disabled people are often portrayed as tragic/brave/inspirational/possibly dangerous as well. Like we are somehow weird and not just regular people who just happen to have some challenges that most people don't have. It's exhausting to watch and it does tend to set us apart as different in the eyes of society - which isn't exactly helpful in terms of inclusion.
Anyone else hate how Ben wipes his mouth after kissing Charlie? I mean - I think I get not wanting to come out (I'm straight, so I'll probably never fully understand that struggle) but it's literally like Ben is trying to erase Charlie. AFTER basically taking advantage of him!!!! That's just DISGUSTING!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬
I Wondered, Could you do a reaction to the 1996 movie Beautiful thing? I'm sure you will like it. Trailer here: ruclips.net/video/YeGBkXoOe6Q/видео.html (If you can't find a copy of it, I'll be happy to transfer it to you...)
Completely agree, Heartstopper is the series that allowed me to move on...... but Beautiful thing, for it's time was ground-breaking.... Helped me with my 'gay journey'
"I love you Tori, but we have to put a bell on you!".... honey, that was priceless! 🤣
😂😂 I swear she just be popping up 😂

Charlie is like my little baby and I just wanna hold him close and protect him 😩 he deserves the world.

Ohhh my god I laughed so hard at, "Sir, you should have read the room, you should have scanned the room, you should have felt the room" :DD
“She peeped.” 🤣 Tara, our queen.
Also your whole reaction to the first kiss: “I love them like I birthed them.” Same!!!
Yes, like I literally looovee them 😂
Agreed! I love the multiple representations in this show and we need more like it.
I absolutely adore Charlie and Nick. They are both so precious
Yes, they’re both so precious like I would hug them forever lol
And did you notice how every time we see Nick wearing a hoodie for the rest of the season, it's the one he lent to Charlie in episode 2? I have a strong suspicion he never washed it after Charlie wore it...💕💕💕💕
Now my heart melts more 😩
@@wwhn Nick is just pure gold, isn't he? 😍😍
Without a doubt 🤩
Speaking of representation, Isaac is giving asexual vibes
Good eye because someone said the writer intends for him to be and will cover it next season lol
It's confirmed by Alice Osman that he is ace and it dives deeper into it next season
In the webcomic they show Nick typing a couple texts after the kiss at the party but then finally throwing his phone across his room... I wish they showed that in the show
See now I wanna read the comic to see what else they hid from us lol
They hide a literal child. Lol.
Say WHAT?! lol
@@wwhn in the comics Charlie has a younger brother
@@sleepysalamander4291 Oliver is adorable! Love him in This Winter! 💕💕💕
I love your use of the "I Can Hear the Bells". It's so perfect 😂
😂😂 When I tell you I literally watched the show and could repeatedly hear that song 😂 I go back and watch these reactions just for a good laugh at that lol
For whatever reason, I only recently watched Heartstopper. It is my new favourite… it just makes my heart all warm. One more sleep til Season 2!!!!

The kiss was everything.
I love how cosy your setting looks, makes me want to make myself some tea and wrap myself in a blanket haha
It's like watching it with a friend!
I´ve watched loads of Heartstopper reviews but yours is among the best. Love the way you do this.
Thank you so much 🥹😭
