I’m glad joaquin brought attention to this
Seriously, Joaquin is such an incredible person. He covers and brings light to things not for his own reputation, but because he genuinely cares. He's the reason I ended up going vegan after watching Earthlings. Never knew how harsh we were to animals, let alone the environmental impact. And this was back in 2005, he's an incredible person.
Its actually todd philips who introduced this to joaquin
Paul Jay Iligan no its joaquin
@@ericcartman725 give me your proof then ill believe you because the last time i checked its todd
Paul Jay Iligan i tought joaquin used this laugh for inspiration
Honestly I know people are tired of " joker brought me here", but I would of never even knew this condition truly existed without that movie, beside of it being a great movie I'm really happy it brought my attention to this. Thank you to everyone in this video for sharing their story. I hope the full thing is out somewhere if anyone can link me to a full video about this.
At least you give credit to the movie and not just suck joaquin's ass like all the rest like he had something to do with the writting.
@@akemdam9824 every person who works on a movie influences the outcome. great writing but shitty performance can ruin it. shitty wriring and great performance... actually sounds kind of fun now that i think about it, but either way it doesnt really fit

joker brought me here man
I also came to know about this condition ...because of joker ........really sad .....
I’d never heard of such a thing. It’s amazing and horribly sad how many conditions there are.
We are blessed just by being perfectly normal. Really gives life a new perspective.

Is it weird that I Want this? I feel he has a dopamine rush and it happens during Un involuntary depression
However I'm aware of vise versa, when people cry uncontrollably. Maybe a dopamine serotonin imbalance
Please please make more and more people aware of the seriousness of this debilitation condition. Due to the lack of empathy and knowledge, many PBA sufferers just isolate themselves making it even worse. even Drs diagnose depression...It has nothing to do with depression.
I think the movie "joker" brought this issue to light $
I'd kick it with you, Curtis! :(

he's not even sad either.
this desease , damn it can be hurt you know when you laugh too long and too hard

This film should be on Netflix.
Very well put together trailer! I'm excited to see the actual one.
Shouldn't u be working on the Penski files?
Did it ever come out??
Hey, it's the GeoKer!
(saerch it guys)
Hey George.
0:30- i want to hug him and tell him hes right its not his fault he isnt crazy its okay ;-;
Edit- i have BPD if you dont know what it is to sum up the biggest symptom is uncontrollable intense emotions. Due to trauma and/or genetics. I understand what they are going through. Its so hard.
I seriously had no idea about this when it started for me. For years now I’ve had uncontrollable laughter at random times, I would be in class and start laughing and I would be getting yelled at but I can’t control it and it hurts me inside. I don’t struggle as much now but it still happens and it sucks. I wish I could talk to my parents about it but it’ll be pushed aside but until I get older I’m gonna stick it out. Thank you for showing me I’m not alone.
Its ok.. Your going to overcome this.. And dont worry about any one and dont care.. Wish u get well soon
Lt. Flash, I started suffering from this when I was 19. And my parents used to tell me, what are you doing? are you laughing or crying? this girl is silly! Or things like...laughing without a reason is of insane people, crying without a reason is of fools. And I got worse. A doctor sent me to psychiatrists and they NEVER HELPED. NEVER. NEVER. TO HELL WITH THEM. 24 years after, I'm still suffering from this and have no diagnose or tratment. Yesterday night I was with a boy, in an intimate situation and I started laughing and he stopped and got angry. When this happens to me, I take propanolol...and somehow it helps, but takes its time reaching its effect. And it's not toally effective. But it's what I have at home. Please, go to your doc, talk to him/her and to your parents and beloved ones. To me, this is similar to Tourette syndrome. Uncontrollable emotions/actions after all. What can we do?
Please, take lots od care and don't hide this to anyone. Talk to your teachers, too. Don't feel ashamed. And look for help. You're still young. Please, do it. Will you? 🤗😘
My heart hurts for them and what they are experiencing and have no control over.
Damn dude this breaks my heart. Let’s bring attention to these small issues and take care of our own. Tired of spending money on inmates and corrupt cops!
Deven Maltez makes no sense, your reasoning is if this video got more views, somehow more money would magically go into research for this problem and no money would go to cops or prisons/jails.
Joaquin Phoenix brought me here.
Me too!!!

Thank you for making this. Please bring more attention to this. I suffer from PBA. We need more awareness!
Never heard of this condition until Joker gives awareness to this..
I'm not laughing at this I'm laughing because this caught my attention of guard an the laughter seems so real until it's contagious to make me laugh. An I can't help it
No need to apologize as long as you realize it's sad
God damnit you guys are making ME cry. I hope people see this and can think about it if they ever see somebody with PBA and understand their struggle. Everyone should be accepted, and they are brave to share their experience
I dont know about this abnormal condition until i watch Joker
I had a concussion and for a short period of time had issues with outbursts of crying for no apparent reason. I didn't realize that it was something that could be a constant problem for some people out there
I hope you're doing great! ☺️
We gotta help these people. Don’t bully or make fun of them. Please be nice to them. We got to start putting ourselves in others position before we make fun of someone with mental illness or some other conditions. Humanity is vital!
Thanks everyone!!!
Each one of them is beautiful and deserve happines!! They are great!!! Not weird, nothing wrong with them, they are awesome♥️♥️♥️
Mr. Phoenix tho...just another way that Batman, has changed the world.
So proud Joaquin and that movie will help to understand this condition.
Don't forget to thank todd for introducing this disorder to him
Proud? Why?
Ian why not?¿
@@skdooman you wouldn't be proud of todd never decided to make the movie in the first place
Proud of something you have nothing do to with?
Arthur Fleck brought me here.
I can't believe I've never heard of this. Glad RUclips Recommended something interesting and good!
I’m so happy Scott is in this and getting recognition.
My aunt takes a lot of medications and she randomly starts crying like if she saw something that gave her nostalgia and it breaks my heart
Sounds like a legitimate reason to cry. Are you sure she has PBA?
Yes we all know Joaquin Phoenix brought you here
You obviously like Wire. Oh, and btw... Joaquin Phoenix brought me here.
We have something in common.
I can't proof it but *no*
Yeah Joaqin's portrayal was great, but if it wasn't for todd introducing this disorder to him, we wouldn't have known about it, so bless him :)
I was researching the town that danced themselves to death and I ended up here 🤷♀️ quarantine am I right?
Critics Said “you will laugh, you will cry”
Scott is literally the only person you can find on RUclips having one of these episodes
What's your point? Just because it's not on youtube doesn't mean that it isn't prevalent. Scott is one person with a condition that brings on this secondary issue of PBA. When it comes to the brain, all injuries, and those injured, are different and present differently as well.
I'm glad that people are learning about this condition due to the joker movie, but I hope they realize that this condition is separate from all of the other issues the character had and that even most people with technical insanity (inability to tell reality from non) are also not dangerous
Cursed wish: You look exactly like Julius Caesar but have involuntary laughing fits.
Thanks to Joaquin Phoenix and the people who work to make the Joke (movie) for bringing attention to this. I’m here learning because of them.
I’ve been having this type of laughter recently and I’m not fucking lying
Is this out yet? I need to see this
You are blessed!
This is basically the real world version of people who feel the need to type *"lol"* on everything
Damn Joaquin really did his homework.
nachi316 he’s also a method actor.
Did you guys see Joker and do you feel he did an accurate portrayal of this?
PBA presents differently for everyone. The crying is the probelm his character has with PBA, the other mental issues his character was dealing with are not PBA associated.
Im currently a nursing student... A few days ago we were at the auditorium for some discussion for an occasion... So some of the senior students were arguing pretty roughly within them selves... And a junior sitting just beside them suddenly starts laughing like crazy... Shortly after that she fell unconscious... That was the first time i saw this disorder in action... I knew that it existed... But never had i thought to witness it in person...
Is the full film made yet and if so where can I watch it???
Omg....when I was a kid of 12 years old...one day while playing video games I felt like crying for no reason.I just felt a deep saddness within me and I cried and paniced because I didn't knew why was I so sad...it continued for a month but then slowly it stopped. While watching this I suddenly remembered could it be possible that I suffered from this in the past??I am just trying to find out the reason of that odd and strange incident which happened with me.
Jesus this is heartbreaking. It was in Joker too. But this is the real shit. And it looks brutal. For them and those around them.
Normies who see a guy with this condition:why he's so happy?
Guy with pba:You wouldn't get it
Now i know how amazing Joaquin's acting is
Having never seen the movie that everyone keeps saying brought them here , it’s truly a sad sight to see how unnoticed this was going beforehand . It takes Hollywood intervention sometimes doesn’t it wow
that one guy was from the RUclips video, I'm guessing
I want to hug them all, telling that they are not alone
As a person who gets episodes similar to this, the worst part is when everyone looks at you with disgust and hate and shame, and you want to stop laughing, but you just cant, and struggling to breathe , I just don’t get it
The fact i am watching this, is proof tangential learning works
I seriously didn’t know that there was a condition like this. I feel for them
Nothing but good ol' RUclips Recommended section
thank you Joaquin
Notice how they find a way to be happy with such a life halting problem, i wish i could be just as happy as them.
Where can I watch for free?
Who would think of a person crying an idiot?
Some people might have those kind of stares but they arent thinking about anything negative they are probably curious that's why they stare, stares of others is also the reason im not self confident because i always think their thinking about something negative about me but they really aren't. But that's not always the case sometimes they actually do think negative but we cant do anything about that we cant read minds and thoughts, just keep thinking positive never negative thats probably the only way
I’m cryinf so hard I wanna hug these people I feel so bad for them this must be hard to deal with
See the power of good movies? making us aware of this stuff? why can't we have more movies like that??
And people say the Joker movie should be banned because it does nothing but inspire bad things and can influence the wrong people but if anything it’s bringing light to people with this condition and it makes you want to treat people nicer.
Is the film out
I don't know what would hurt worse, crying randomly or laughing randomly.
I wonder if psilocybin could help them make new neurological connections to overcome this disease. Paul Stamets cured his stutter problem with a high dose of psilocybin
Possibly. Psychedelics need more research and control and need to be accepted by the society before using them though
I’m sure it can. Possibly lsd as well. The world will be totally different if weed, mushrooms, and lsd were accessible like cigarettes and alcohol are.
@@SugarW1thC0ffee yeah, for the worse for alot of people.
John D psychedelics are nowhere near dangerous as alcohol or even cigarettes. Irresponsible, immature people are those that would cause such backlash considering there’s already so much problems with alcohol in the first place because of such irresponsible people.
@@SugarW1thC0ffee sick of this moronic lie being backpedlled by people with no mental problems. Psychedelics and weed are much more psychologically dangerous than alcohol
Dont let him smoke weed

Thank You.
Thank god he didn't became joker
When they are laughing or crying, they really feel it? Or is just the "act" of do it? 🤨
UltravioletSlave I would assume at first they feel it, but there is such a thing as too much dopamine causing depression so he could be laughing and releasing the happy hormones... but after some time he could have too much dopamine produced which could cause the opposite which is a type of depression. Now his brain could be wired differently as well, so he does not feel it, it happens as a neurological reaction to nervousness. So he could have 2 kinds of laughs also... I just don’t know for his specific case.
No, it has Nothing to do with Feelings. PBA presents as Laughing, Crying, Outbursts of Rage/Anger that are Incongruent with the persons actual feelings.
I am 16 and i have pba from a brain injury i only have laughter one and now everyone calls me the joker and acts scared of me
how are you currently dealing with it?
Im so sad watching this. It's so hard to look at.
0:39 pass this along
Where i can see the film?
i have this but its crying :(
Wow, Joker movie will change our mindset when seeing strangers laughing randomly
1:08 you can see she was probably just dealing with her symptom before filming
is pba attached to emotions? or is it involuntary without the feelings associated with laughter or crying...
Involuntary, it's something to do with the chemicals of the brain, it's uncontrollable
PBA can present as Laughing, Crying, Confusion, Outbursts of Rage/Anger that are Incongruent with feelings or emotions. And, in at least one case, it can be healed without any drugs.
I will really pray for them 🙏
Wow, lord please help those with these conditions. We all need help with something. God help us all.
Im glad that The Joker movie brought attention to this diagnos, I feel people never heard about this before.
Yeah but I looked up the video of the first guy and it's sad asf because the majority of the people are making jokes about this and the other "joker" movie and it annoys the fuck out of me
My dad had a TBI, and I'm glad he doesn't have PBA, although he does have memory loss ;(

I really feel bad now..
Joker brought us all here
Not the ones who were here before there even was a Joker.
hold up, who sees someone start crying and think “wow what an idiot” lmaooooo
how does that man feel about being the nspiration behind joker?
So I'm the only one here who knows about this without The Joker bringing them here?
Well just read the comments
No
Man put a crying and a laughing person together...
It's not always one or the other. I have laughing, crying and rage. All aspects of PBA weren't really covered in the documentary.
Why do people think that expressing emotions is shameful
These people can't control it but when someone reaches the limit he'll cry and he can't handle it too
So if u see someone laughing hysterically you should just mind your own business and if he was crying try to help and don't ever be disrespectful to anyone because anyone is fighting a war that you don't know anything about so just be kind
"You all wouldn't get it"
