It's realistic too bc if he got as red-hot as a wiry small guy, he'd possibly have a heart attack in his new condition. This sketch was BRUTAL. The best satire SNL has had in a while.
I think I woke my neighbors with my maniacal laughter at just how sweet and soft Woody played his character. You want to hug him but ya know arms just can't reach.
Great job by make up artists (and yes, they are artists). The seamless face to neck for Woody in this skit was flawless!! Not to ignore the incredible job they do normally, but this had to be a unique challenge.
Hard laughing when he sat down. Woody has always been hilarious. Never thought anyone could replace Coach on Cheers and he quickly silenced many like me. He also silenced them with his GOLDEN monologue. What a boss!!😄
@@pjj.5649 Well, since you obviously watch the show, a couple weeks ago Pedro Pascal hosted and a sketch that caused all cast members to laugh uncontrollably. Spelled it out and everything for you☺️
Considering that this was one of the post-Weekend Update sketches (the ones that aren't as funny as the ones before WU, but are still in the show regardless), I kind of understand.
@@canaisyoung3601 oh you mean when half the viewers start watching something else instead of staying and watching the final performance of the musical guest?
4:04 No disrespect to Keith but that offer for a Marvel role could totally still be on the table! X-men is confirmed to come into the MCU and the Blob is a core member of the Brotherhood of Mutants. Also, Mojo is an awesome villain that i think would be tops for a film. With the multiverse open, and after the events of Wanda's hex in Westview (plus we have Agatha around to tell the tale) we could easily see Mojo hear talk around town that Wanda created her own tv show for her own sake, and well, that's kind of what Mojo is all about
Woody is such an amazing actor, carried this entire sketch! Gained all that weight just for this scene 😂 (For the humor impaired, yes I know it’s an actual fat suit)
Yeah, real fat would have given Brendan, likely, belly fat. The fat suit shows lipedema, as it does here, and really communicates the difficulties arising from the weight and the vicious circle

I’ll do you one better. Keith says he’s not exactly in X-Men shape, but he’s literally The Blob. I’m surprised that didn’t get a bigger laugh
I bet it sounded hilarious at the time.

That's cool and all but can we keep this conversation about Rampart?

The SNL makeup artists who made Woody look like Brendan deserve an Oscar
An Emmy.
TV shows don't get Oscars
