This is awesome. Just watched the film tonight and throughout the entire thing, wanted to pause every few minutes to look up the actual real footage and make comparisons.
Considering this was based on one night, you would have thought they would have gotten the hair styles a bit better. But Dimitreze is back like John Wick!
Speaking of hair. They did Paul Schafer wrong by making him more bald than he actually was back then. Otherwise, I thought the movie as a whole was okay. It was the kind of love letter the show needed.
It's too bad Benny Safdie had to drop out of playing Kaufman. He looks the part. On the other hand, having two characters played by one actor almost has a Kaufmanesque metaness lol
@@Bryan-b1r2i the fact that I didn't know that there was double duty for Andy Kaufman, I apologize for thinking that he's not as good as Jim Carrey. He did pretty good!
I wish they hadn't given the Belushi character that fake looking facial hair for no reason, it kept taking me out of it lol. Still really enjoyed the movie, much better than I expected
Nah. He played his part perfectly, dig into the history of SNL, it seemed right in line with how Belushi acted behind the scenes. Even him not signing his NBC contract down to the wire is 100% true.
He was the weakest link to me. They seem like they purposely made him a moody Tazmanian Devil when that happened sometime later when his addictions kicked in and he was competing with Chevy.
wow this is cool to see, it highlights the raw brilliance of the original cast. what a time to be alive. Doing an Andy Kaufman in that particular moment is a truly tall order, Jim Carrey came the closest. Thanks for sharing.
No offense to the actor portraying Belushi but he was the weak link (and the script didn't help him), but Chevy, Garrett, Jane, Danny and Gilda got their due.
I think they tried to get the essence - these are almost impossibly specific people to recreate in a different time and the cast deserves a lot of credit (not sure with Jim Henson though they treated him as incompetent when he was far from it)
Dylan is eerie as Aykroyd to be honest, he didn't even need to practice, he has the look and personality down pat.
That is so true Dylan and Cory did the best at the actors they portrayed it was incredible.
Kim Matula as Jane Curtin was excellent too
Dylan was amazing as Dan i would see him play dan any day any time
@@KHWendy28the actor who played Billy Crystal was EERIE how much he captured the vocal patterns! Amazing performances all around.

It’s ok if everything is not exactly the same, after all it’s rehearsal time.😊
dylan got dans cadence in the voice down like not exact but i really heard dan in it, it's believable for sure

It sounds like something Andy Kaufman would approve of

@@acm0045 He did, and apparently he (Nicholas Braun) only had two weeks to prepare because Safdie had to drop out so close to filming
it is an odd sensation to have your youth turn into history...
When I saw this movie, one of the first things I thought was "dimitreze" so psyched that you're back dude.
It's great to have you back. 😁👍
Preston, the closest person to being the 5th beatle
They never get the hair right

@@Bryan-b1r2iThe facial hair looked even more fake with his caked on makeup.
This looks like a 90-minute "The Greatest Event in Television History."
So the film just came out or something? Hope it's on one of the streaming channels soon.
The Goat is BACK
This so damn perfect!!
Nice, another video! I hope you can still make more of these but I understand your situation, be safe bro!
apparently the channel is monetized again
so I'll make a bunch os videos until it lasts
@dimitreze sweet! I hope this time you're back for good, you got lots of fans 😁
@@Quetzalcoatl83 thank you!
The guy that played Belushi was a bummer. It seemed like he was making a caricature out of him.

that's an impossible part to cast though, he did great with it (even with the movie kind of being weird)
Why do people always put the blame on the actors as if they had so much power lmao, it's not like social media makes it seem at all
@@-dtuyhnjhggvjjjnhow was the movie “weird” to you?…. Just wondering.
aww yeah lets go too bad i cant watch it cuz i dont want to be spoiled but i’ll make sure to watch it once im done

Can you do a biography comparison of Whitney Houston?
This makes it look like they didn't even try to match things up... 😕

Watch the movie it’s incredibly detailed. No movie gets EVERY detail accurate (unless you’re James Cameron with Titanic 😂)
Get the damn hair right
This movie annoys me. I hate it
New shows movies are trash period .even when they try to reminisce...
