A few years ago, if you asked me the best SNL cast member I probably would have said Phil Hartman, but Keenan is now #1. He’s the undisputed glue guy. He just does what the sketch needs, no more, no less.
What makes the Beavis and Butt-Head skit so epic is that Heidi is one of the few cast members that very, very rarely breaks character. This is in my top 5 skit list, right up there with Schweddy Balls and Betty White's Muffins.
And she keeps laughing even when he's gone, just trying to speak. And it's even funnier because she does such intense characters herself, but they really got her. That was great. It does rank up there. Hilarious. 😂

I’ve never laughed so hard at an SNL sketch that was not dirty, not super political (at least it’s roasting ALL of us as a nation, and others lol) and/or not about current events/pop culture. Literal good clean fun, classic!

Pretty sure in rehearsal they didnt have the make up done, so between sketches she never got to see the final look, which made this sketch the best of the night.

The sewing kit in the cookie tin was a nice appetizer but Washington's Dream gave me a rare, straight 5 minutes of laughter. That felt so good........... I'm gonna watch it again.
It’s a normal thing. I’ve never immigrated anywhere but we’ve always used tins for sewing, crafts, etc. so versatile and good to eat the cookies. We always ate the cookies. 😂❤
The rest of the people behind Heidi staying stone faced is still unbelievable to me. Those folks not breaking deserve a standing ovation. I know i couldn't have done it

What takes me out is that the British have been using those measurements for centuries. They were already using the customary system. In fact, the metric system was only introduced to the UK and their former colonies in the 1960s.

The George Washington bit was great. Having lived with both metric and "standard" systems, it had me rolling. Saving the Beavis and Butthead sketch for last was a great decision. It was the funniest of the lot.
Pedro Pascal putting all the threads in the cookie can is the most latino thing ever, I could feel every mexican applauding at that moment 😂 I can't recall how many times I would find those same cans filled with threads at my abuelita's house
Washingtons dream was by far the best sketch, with great performances, writing/jokes, timing, etc. It didnt need to be carried by costumes and actors breaking character.

Never ever break character in a sketch. And yet Heidi makes it twice as hilarious. Reminds me of the Carol Burnett Show, watching them crack each other up despite their most professional attempts to play it straight.
Her reaction really feels like they sprung that on her. Like she had not seen them in makeup before turning around, because her break was essentially instantaneous when seeing Butthead.
@Jackiedyk He's one of the rare purely stand-up comedians to be invited to host the show just because he's so strong (i.e. not a celebrity promoting a project of theirs). He's kinda broken through the last couple years and is known for his extremely deadpan delivery - imo he's hilarious and gets more laughs out of people with clean comedy than most do with edgier jokes. Nate is awesome.
