Toyota has been saying SSB for years.

Toyota can't get their act together. One day they are saying that EVs have no future and that hybrids and ICE are the direction they are going. Then another day they are touting hydrogen cars. Then they are desperately promoting their solid state battery EVs that aren't due for 3 or 4 years. Then they endlessly repeat the cycle.
The only constant is that they produced a single EV, the bz4x (and a lexus version) which has been universally panned as a terrible EV based on yesterday's EV technology, and not even well produced considering they are using such old tech.
Solid state is to hard at volumne and much to expensive with complicated manufacturing . Toyota will be long gone before they have a viable solid state battery at scale at an affordable price and by 2030 most of Toyota's market share will be gone so dream on.
There was solid state battery in nsw wish malfunction and when water put on it violently exploded.
Toyota has become a complete joke. Zero chance of surviving.
Kodak once dominated the World Film market and now they have a small business unit selling Film to hospitals only .
Toyota will have to plan on downsizing ASAP to avoid major impact ! Stop Whining !!!!

Sooo....theyre more reliable even though they're "mitigated". And let's ignore that Tesla's current battery is good for 500,000 to 1,000,000 miles today. And this is bad news for Tesla in 2030. Oh, and Toyota's current offering is crap. And thats not going to begin to change until 2026. And that's only going to be a premium cost for their existing crap.
And lets not forget, the Tesla 4680 is solid state (dry electrode) and about 25% of Tesla's cars ship with it today. ¡Ay, caramba! What a load.
Now is BYD
So far Toyota has been menacing Tesla with about half a dozen alien technology plus this one, another dream for the distant future. They have not yet done anything with baked beans for fuel which I would suggest. But whatever they will decide to do, please stop dreaming and put some decent EV on the road, but make sure that the wheels will be secured better than your last attempt.
Even you have a better Battery, But most charger is suck and power grid problem even in very advance Country, People will back to Gasoline engines
80% of cars are charge at home. I own EV and I am happy because I dont have to go to gas pump every week.
