When I return to this song/video, I'm confident that it marked a new era in my life. I wish I was capable of feeling such strong emotions as I did back then. This is life-changing, no less that that.
I think this song teaches the importance of being intimate with yourself and self-reliance. She was going crazy but her other self kept her grounded until she was able to move forward.

OMG, YES!!!
There's something about this video that has a really strong emotional impact on me. Firstly, it's Florence, and where there's Florence - there's emotion. But there's something also quite scary about this - there's a big sense of isolation, that she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. She takes strength from her other self, but then goes off by herself. And there's something about the name Florence coming up on screen that is so heart-wrenching - it makes me fear for her but I am also phenomenally impressed by her at the same time and I am reminded of "And the only solution was to stand and fight" - she has no choice but to go on by herself to some huge and lonesome battle, now that her transformation from the video and song has been completed. And when her name comes up, it's like - ok, here's our hero, here's our Florence, and here she goes - it's the biggest battle yet and she's going for it. As a trailer to the album, it's a piece of genius - it finishes with Florence bringing us into this whole new world, and as she looks up, I suspect that this is something bigger than any of us could have expected.
Yeeess! It was kinda of what I thought. To add something to your comment, I think she's fighting with the old Florence. She loves her and hesitates to leave, but she knows that's the path she must follow. And she isolates herself cause she needs time to get through this overwhelming change.
Idk if this is the meaning, but is what crosses my mind while watching the teaser and is so beautiful, delicate. You can see and feel what she's feeling.

This song reminds me of the "World's loneliest whale" story. The one where there's this one whale that is just not listened to by any other species because it makes a call of different frequency than others. It lives in complete solitude for about 25 years now. And it can only talk to itself at the moment. And it's big. And blue. And beautiful.

Songs like this are what make me so grateful to be a living, breathing, human that walks this earth
For me, the meaning of the video is Florence saying goodbye to her old version, and the dance could mean the conflicts that she had while she was trying to change. But my favorite part is the end: she goes to the woods that makes she returns to the same place as before. As an artist, she needs to reinvent herself. So, all of that repeats over again and again when she produces a new album.

ART at its finest....The orchestra is amazing. The Brass section is outstanding and says it all instead of lyrics.....The orchestra is BIG BLUE AND BEAUTIFUL...so is Florence.

The location reminds of an ancient Greek theatre and Florence is like playing a dancing tragedy with her double. It's all so physical, so ritual. Harp and organ could not miss but trumpets enrich the band's typical sound, which is now more mature. The alchemic symbols of air and water (the third album possible artwork) are revoked by the stretch of water under the stage and by the sky framings. And the white outfit, so perfect for her red hair: they represent purity and blood. How big, how blue and how beautiful are the world, the nature, this great song, this woman and her return. Cried when I watched the video, I've been waiting so long. LOVE YOU X

Anyone have any thoughts on what the sound of the album may be like based off this song? I'm trying to figure it out. It sounds like she's going to pull away some from the church choir-like sound of Ceremonials and maybe go for a little more nature/spiritual sounding.

After listening to the full song, I realized that this song sounds like the happiest song she has ever done. So if this were to be turned into a music video, I'd be pretty excited how it would turn out since the last Odysseys were pretty grim and tragic.

Ok, I've listened to it five times over and I DON'T KNOW why it's good but it's sooooooooo good. I have absolutely no idea what's going on musically and in what particular way it builds up to the halucinogenic awesomeness that it does but this is just too good. The feeling of something being great but not knowing why. Bliss.

I don't get why this isn't the final chapter of the Odyssey, like THIS VIDEO?! It's so beautiful and would be a great ending.
I guess this is a good intro to the Odyssey, in this clip Florence is dancing with herself, all in peace and harmony, which probably represents Florence's comfort zone, and this is exactly the same perspective from which she's been narrating her story and her relationship wit herself( Lungs/Ceremonial. However at some, she felt the urging need to step out of that comfort zone and get candid with and personal with her storytelling, it was so important for her leave her that state of mind and go out into the woods in order to find who she really is, which explains her leaving her other self by the end of this video. One more thing, if it happens that you watched the Odyssey you would notice that she doesn't dance with herself anymore, instead she dances with demons, boyfriends, Delilah.... And she replaced the mythical ( metaphorical symbolism from the first two albums) with everything that is personal and accurately real in her life( Relationships, substance abuse, destructive behavior..) in this album.
All in all this clip was the perfect intro to the Odyssey, leaving her comfort zone and going into an epic journey of self discovery.
I can die peacefully now. This short video evokes so many positive emotions in me. I am 100% certain that for the next couple of weeks I will be waking up to this song every single morning. Those triumphant trumpets...they make you feel the vastness of the world and to me, personally, give hope for the better tomorrow, make me feel like nothing's impossible and everything we dream of is within our reach

I was on the pool at some random summer house we rented with my bf at the time. it was about 2pm, the sun was shinning i was hearing the birds sing in one of those nice chill summer days. i got a notif on my phone, open it and saw this. the point is i remember the exact same moment i entered on touch with this because it changed the way i saw things. The birds were singing a different song right after.

Can you imagine a big 20 min production with Florence, Sia, Gaga, Grimes and Twigs? Like a song were every singer represents a part of something and in the end they come together to fulfill each other. And some part are dark and mysterious and other are lighting but all of them are just extremely relaxing like looking out of a window in a starry night.

Before I read any other interpretations I want to write my own ideas about the video. The first think that popped in my head was the idea that Florence is dancing along with two versions of herself. The two dance as own appreciating the world around them (How Big How Blue How Beautiful= The Earth, her world, her life). But, eventually Florence leaves a part of herself behind and somehow turns around and acts as if she is seeing for the first time. I think that scene symbolizes her rebirth into a new version of herself. She ultimately comes back. I mostly think of it as a cycle or a circle of life. We go through life trying to find ourselves and through that we grow and leave parts of ourselves behind. Anyway that just me now I'm going to read everyone else's ideas

For me, the video speaks about Florence + the Machine leaving their touches of Lungs and Ceremonials, but never forgetting them. The ending proved that they have started a new path, but they are still on the ground and they still have the souls we have known from the beginning.
Looks like a small song to begin the album, or maybe to join 2 songs. Similar to Coldplays Mylo Zyloto? If so that would be amazing! Sounds beautiful and gives high hopes for the album!
