The best scene to me in this movie is when he gets his new clothes, bean storms in, furious, then freezes up. After unfreezing she goes rhetorically like "It happend, again?" Rango just goes "hm what?" Completeley ignoring it. He knows its uncomfortable to her. He is obviously curious about it, questions the people about it, investigating if and how she is reacting in this state, but he KNOWS its uncomfortable to her and ignores it so she does not have to feel akward when freezing up while talking to him and can say what she wants to say instead of talking about her disability over and over again Its awesome because it makes clear thst he is at the core already a good person that does things different. He just still has to make his devolpement so he can do things different for everybody. Its such a subtle scene, but i love it everytime i rewatch the movie
It's cute how both Rango and Beans are socially awkward, albeit in different ways. Beans is self-reliant and tough, but freezes up in social tension, and Rango can talk and bullshit people easily but struggles to make deeper, sincere connections. But the two of them together seem to find a comfortable middle ground where they're both happy.
He’s just the cutest sweetest little lizard with a heart bigger than Jake the snake. Also amazing writers. I never picked up on this little detail and it just makes me love this movie more. Rango and POTC: - Rango is voiced by Johnny Depp, who played Jack Sparrow. - Rattlesnake Jake is voiced by Bill Nighy, who voiced Davy Jones in POTC 2 & 3. - Many similarities between the two (like being carried by bugs/crabs and a large deserted area like Davy Jone's locker, as Boi mentioned) - POTC 1-3 was directed by Gore Verbinski, who also directed Rango - Music composed by Hans Zimmer These two movies are kinda similar and yet different.
I remember reading an interesting interpretation of Beans' freezing habit. They say it's a defense mechanism and her "switch" is broken. But Beans mainly freezes in tense social situations...because she grew up alone on a ranch and isn't the best socializer, so while she can handle actual danger just fine, her "defense mechanism" actually just gets triggered by social anxiety.

Jack Sparrow's actor voices Rango, Davy Jones' actor voices rattlesnake Jake, Rango being carried away by bugs, and a mole that looks like Captain Barbossa. Yep, plenty of POTC references there 😂
there's also alot of fear and loathing in las vegas references, the red convertible at the beginning, the swarms of bats, rango being in the same color and style of shirt as hunter thompson, the movie ending with the town being flooded like the hotel room when he wakes up wearing a lizard tail
This movie also has two different versions. One has the movie end right after the fight in the town, and has some of the more adult scenes and jokes kept in. The other has the beach scene and Rango riding into the sunset.

3:59 Elephants are known to be very silent when walking, so it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility that the hawk would make no sound when landing
Idk why you're comparing an elephant walking with fatty pads under its feet to a red-tailed hawk with no adaptations for reducing sound. There are birds that can fly silently (owls), but hawks ain't one of them.
High Boi literally coined a whole ass phrase well technically there is..... another one, but it's disgusting (yes, more disgusting than incest), but the second definition and the current one is what high Boi said
Actually a decade or so later I think I realized something about the Armadillo, because when I am young I am surprised that why is it alive. It is because either the corpse of the Armadillo getting reanimated is a figment of Rango`s imagination Or that the Armadilla was a benevolent wandering ghost who was also looking for something, like looking for the ghost of the Spirit of the West, hence he would eventually be a beacon of knowledge for Rango.
I love how voice actor of Jack Sparrow voices Rango and voice actor of Davy Jones voices Rattlesnake Jake. Its sort of funny because both voice actors voiced two characters that were against eachother.

2:07 i love how he didn't mention hiw the toad says something along the lines of "let me in! Ill let you sleep with my sister!" That moment just seems like something High Boi would mention
0:50
Roadkill (the armadildo) is still missing his Middle part throughout the movie
Also his voice actor is Doc Ock
12:43
That's Clint Eastwood also known as: The man With No Name
Never before has a movie made me want to forcefully drink water immediately.
The fact that theres a fear and loathing reference alone makes this film incredible
This movie truly was ahead of its time. Phenomenal and strange masterpiece that we all love and adore.
I love how he rates the movies at the end, I also love how he explains them too.
Wish the industry still put out bangers like this
Edit: I was just talking about the unique and uncanny style with whimsical plot points, I’m aware that there are still incredible animated stories today and why are some of you making this political like gtfo I wasn’t dunking on representation in media
Now its like "how woke we going on this one?" And the answer is "MOAR!!! MOAR!!! MOOOOOOOAR!!!!!!!!"
hasn't the new puss in boots movie been rather successful? I think this just survivorship bias honestly
I mean I wish there was something with this weird offbeat tone like this movie, but there are still some pretty great animated movies and shows like arcane, spider-verse
Yeah. I don't know of any other animated movie that lets the actors not only voice act together but also act together on practical sets so that the animators can base the animation of the actor's mannerisms and quirks. The behind the scenes on this are great.
@@hueylongdong347 yeah the motion-capture actually did wonders for this movie , I Guess That's why games like the last of us feel so realistic is because everyone got to basically just act as if it were standard film instead of just voice acting
This movie needs more attention, it is literally a work of art
12:34 Even the rattlesnake is voiced by the same guy that played Davy Jones (Bill Nighy)
“What do we now sheriff?” “Now we ride” look at the owl “I said now we ride” cowboy music immense.
this was my late father's favorite movie! i hold it very close to my heart! loved the video dude thanks a ton!
Nickelodeon Movies be like:
>Produce okay and mediocre animated movies
>Casually drop Tintin and Rango in 2012, absolute bangers
>Go back to making okay and mediocre movies
an absolute classic, even as a kid I remember appreciating how good this was
2:23 BRO DID THE GRIDDY 🗣🔥
The animation in Rango is something that should be brought back. Everything is too clean and symmetrical now. Also, this movie is a direct parody of Once Upon a Time in the West.
Bruh Rango is so underrated, it's easily my favourite animated movie of all time
Glad he covered this! This is one of my favourite animated movies of all time, the artstyle is incredibly unique with it's realism. Hope you continue to "explain" more banger movies like this one!
this is probably the best rattlesnake jake impression that i've ever seen with my ears.
Unironically making up personas is the most fun part of traveling cross country. There are probably like 15 people across the US that believes I am a murderous, psychopathic, cannibal hobo. I was role-playing a modern vampire but everyone just thought I was a mass murderer so I rolled with it

This is legit crazy. I was talking with one of my best friends about this movie literally yesterday and then I wake up today and find this posted. HighBoi you mind reader lol, another golden one.
One is the theatrical version and the other is the extended version from the blu-ray/dvd release.
I was wondering why I had no recollection of the beach scene at the end.
Words can't describe how much better my day gets when you post damn
fuck i just woke up from the most beautiful dream of my life where i corrected my regrets of not admitting to my crush when she asked (cus i was a fucking dickhead man i broke her and i fucking regret it) i wake up, feel like shit and see high boi video. man fucking makes my day love u bro hope u have a good life man
remember kiddos, always do what your heart tells u, fuck what everyone else thinks and do what u think is right or else u gonna get regrets

I was honestly expecting High Boi to point out how the owl dude had a beak as a nose and used a second mouth to talk.
I always thought the mustache formed a rim around his upper beak, and the lower beak is hidden underneath.
@@Bagelgeuse That could be possible but then wouldnt feathers be growing out of his mouth? Maybe they go from the sides inwards to make it appear like its coming from inside the mouth?
What the fuck
Wait what
I'm also surprised he doesn't mention when the toad before they die says "I'll let you sleep with my sister!" And the beak part of the bird character always freaked me out a bit
0:39 It makes sense that he is still alive. I know this from experience because my dog got ran over like this as well and he still lived at least for a little while. Although it is a bit bs that he unsquished himself somehow.
your dog died? 😢
Holy fuck that must have been horrifying, did you see your dog like that or were you just told that he was ran over?
@@holahola-ym1xv Saw him ran over.
@@ctcrusader7479 Holy shit, i hope you don't remember what it was like
@@holahola-ym1xv Sadly I do.
Honestly love this channel. I instantly watch everything that comes out, and I was never disappointed.
Rango is like that one video game character that if you give enough time to charge up will OHKO any opponent.
And he’ll do it with only one bullet
3:59 Elephants are known to be very silent when walking, so it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility that the hawk would make no sound when landing
Imagine if elephants could fly, that would be awesome.
Idk why you're comparing an elephant walking with fatty pads under its feet to a red-tailed hawk with no adaptations for reducing sound. There are birds that can fly silently (owls), but hawks ain't one of them.

9:16 it’s called spit roasting
@@count_toxico well excluding the incestuous bit

High Boi literally coined a whole ass phrase well technically there is..... another one, but it's disgusting (yes, more disgusting than incest), but the second definition and the current one is what high Boi said
YES. FINALLY. RANGOOO. COVERED BY HIGH BOI.
If you couldn't tell, I love this movie.
Same! 😄
me too brotha
Actually a decade or so later I think I realized something about the Armadillo, because when I am young I am surprised that why is it alive.
It is because either the corpse of the Armadillo getting reanimated is a figment of Rango`s imagination
Or that the Armadilla was a benevolent wandering ghost who was also looking for something, like looking for the ghost of the Spirit of the West, hence he would eventually be a beacon of knowledge for Rango.
I always just thought the armadillo WAS the spirit of the west
I thought the guy was dead and that it was just his ghost talking to rango
Lights me and ma friends mood everytime. Thank you for your amazing content
IT feels great when people recognize Rango. Its just a fantastic and beautifully made film with a fantastic score by Hans Zimmer!
You always make great videos!!!
After watching this film just now, the crooked frame at 3:11 is such a nice touch.
I'm not a doctor but 7:33 if water is in the lungs you press on the chest to help get rid of water to help breathing, sorry random high moment
I remember loving this movie as a kid. It’s so good and funny. Underrated film
1:15 not to mention that shadows change direction of the course of a day
3:05 well cactus juice WILL quench you.

Not a good personality combination
I love how voice actor of Jack Sparrow voices Rango and voice actor of Davy Jones voices Rattlesnake Jake. Its sort of funny because both voice actors voiced two characters that were against eachother.
Thank you for considering my request on your Megamind video! Have a nice day!😊
This movie is a Masterpiece and nobody can convince me otherwise 🤣
Love it so much ❤
I’ve been looking for that movie for DECADES. I didn’t even know its name, and the fact you decided to explain the plot like the genius you are, I applaud you. Dude, your video is brilliant! You’re literally the embodiment of perfection, tysm! ❤❤❤
