You should see some of the houses they carved out of the rock in Nevada.
I bet is incredible
I live in Nevada and we do have a lot of cool things to see here including herds of wild horses and great hiking
Young people are in so much debt they think credit cards are free money it's destroying our economy
I wish videos were longer a hr would be great
PLEASE Andre, more videos from this lady PLEASE !
Most of Nevada is owned by the federal government and open to visiting
It's not owned by the Federal government. They manage it, the American people are free to use it..
@@carolinelawson9981
The United States Federal Government does in fact own about 85% or slightly more of the land in Nevada. So the OP was correct. However yes, most is still free to use for all Citizens.
The Western and Southwestern states all have breathtaking landscapes. Las Vegas is actually a good place to stay if you want to explore northern Arizona, Southern Utah, Nevada and the Mojave desert..
I live in Las Vegas Nevada. Have gone hiking in Red Rock many times. Always beautiful. Mount Charleston is beautiful as well 4:19
Skiing in the winter just outside of Las Vegas always blows peoples minds!
I chuckled "anyone watching from Nevada" - Nevada is one of the lesser populated states in the US. A very special place, but not many people.
But we have!
I’m retiring to live & fish in the deep south. 47 years is enough in Las Vegas.
I moved here 27 years ago and I still find new things to do in nature. It has a lot of hidden spots that are very scenic.
I was born in Nevada. What you saw was the south part of the State. The middle, west, and east parts have lots of scenic places. The thing I like pointing out is that the water in most of the rivers never make it to the ocean. That is why Nevada is sometimes called The Great Basin.
Thank you for pronouncing "Nevada" correctly. There are millions of native born Americans who pronounce it Ne-VAH-duh. Ugh. I love Nevada! I have lived here since 1981. There is so much beauty in our desert but we also have alpine mountains up north (Lake Tahoe), meadows, and eerie desert lakes. The Ruby Mountains near Elko, NV (northeast) are gorgeous. Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mtns feels like a mini-Switzerland. We have wild horses, elk, deer, ranches, and places that feel like the Old West. What you saw is a tiny portion of Southern NV near Las Vegas. The Valley of Fire is stunning.
Hey! I live in Nevada. Been here most my life and I love it here. Quite a bit farther north of Vegas. We're still more wild west than anywhere else in certain ways, and there's more open land than any almost any state. I have desert, forest, mountains, and lakes all within a half hour drive and the ocean is only four hours away. Great music, scene and city life plus nature all over. Glad Nevada's finally getting some love.
As a truck driver, I drove OTR (Over The Road) for my first 4 years. I m from the East Coast and I was always excited to get a load going out West.
Unfortunately, I've never been to the Valley of Fire state park. I've driven into and out of Nevada via i-15 many times. While I couldn't drive through the Valley of Fire, the drive was very scenic nonetheless.
A little further along i-15 - into Arizona near the Utah border - the Virgin River Gorge is wonderful to drive through.
I am watching from Las Vegas, Nevada. It's hard for me to suggest that Nevada should be at the top of any foreigners list for _first_ visits to the U.S. However, Nevada is a very large state and there are lots of things to see other than Las Vegas that are beautiful. Lake Mead, Red Rock & the Spring mountains, Mt Charleston, helicopter rides to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, the hot springs on the Arizona/Nevada border are all options just from the Vegas area. The state also has it's portion of Lake Tahoe, Valley of Fire, Area 51 visitor center, and the small portion of Death Valley. Great area for BLM land for shooting and off-road vehicle fun, and the camping gives views of the stars like rarely seen. Wild donkeys and horses and northern Nevada has much higher elevation with Elk and a small Moose population in a different climate. Lot's to see and do here that doesn't involve gambling.
@@DUEYZ4U You are right! Thanks for typing all that. I’ve been here 47 years and I’m done and if you can believe I don’t gamble.
Please do more state videos. I’ve been to a lot of states and always enjoy seeing other’s thoughts. Check out my state of Utah. It is really diverse with the mountains in the north (where I’m from), the red rocks in the south, Bonneville Salt Flats and desert in the west and dinosaur lands in the east.
Ive lived in Nevada a few times on the backside of Lake Mead as well. As soon as I saw the intro I new it was The Valley of Fire. It is a beautiful place with many odd unexpected things. If you get a chance to go there you will not regret it. Just do not go in the summer as it is really hot.
Red rock canyon is just outside las Vegas and is considered a two hour trip. It’s a place where a lot of people go to think. Not a lot of tourists are there and it’s pretty empty. Just you have to be back in town before dark as red rock canyon isn’t really safe at night. Not that dangerous people are out there but the Mojave animals hide during the day to avoid the scorching sun and come out at night so it’s not wise to get caught in that. You also can get to monument valley fairly easily. You could also go to the racing area to use sand rails and other off-road equipment. A lot of teenagers out there go every weekend to race or test their new machine. The dads get into it too. It’s just in fun.
I'm from Michigan but spent a lot of time in Nevada since my son lived there for 16 years, first in Las Vegas then by Lake Tahoe. I visited all the spots mentioned in the video. My son worked as an environmental engineer, so he was well acquainted with the wild lands. While hiking in Red Rock Canyon one day he came across a tourist who had wandered off the trails. She had been stumbling around lost for hours and was very grateful he found her! So, stay on marked trails unless you are very familiar with the area. Gail L.
Oh, I forgot on my other comment. You can see bighorn sheep in Valley of Fire. They go down to the campground for water. Also, if you go through Lake Mead, you might see wild horses, burros, and stray cattle. Just outside the town of Overton, there are wetlands where you can birdwatch. Also a small native American museum.
Anxious for your trip to America
You're gonna enjoy every second here.
Especially in Texas or California
Yea, Wisconsin & Colorado excellent but primarily enjoy California & TEXAS
I went to Nevada in 1988 but stayed away from crime ridden Las Vegas, I opted for the much smaller gambling town of Laughlin, I still have one of the dollar gambling tokens from the Colorado Belle, I had ten of them but spent the other nine on slot machines, I won eighty dollars and stopped gambling right away. That was alot of money to me, half of my rent at the time. So if you ever do go to Nevada I would go to the smaller Laughlin! Unless you want to just drive straight through Vegas to get a few pictures but I personally wouldn't stop anywhere, it is not safe there!
I frequently combined conventions in Las Vegas with a few side trips. Within Las Vegas, there is Red Rock Canyon, which is amazing, and it is right near to the Las Vegas strip. People stay in those casinos which for me, maybe an hour walking around, and i have had enough. Bryce National Park is an easy ride. I also took a side trip to the Grand Canyon, the Mojave Desert, and the Hoover Dam. I also did the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Las Vegas Raceway, which was a blast, too. I was the only woman, and i was at least as old as their mothers. Guess who had the fastest speed?
You go, girl!
its not under rated, Ever wondered why Nevada, especially Las Vegas, is such a top spot? It's no joke-over 42 million people visit each year! Vegas truly has it all: from gun ranges and vibrant nightlife to world-class dining and iconic spots like the Hoover Dam and nearby Route 66. When I visit, I love staying near the Strip in a swanky Airbnb. It's usually with a group, and we rent cool rides like Lamborghinis for a luxurious spin. We'll splurge on a party bus or limo for a night out, hitting up those insane summer pool parties at places like the Hard Rock. It's the ultimate playground for adults, perfect for a wild 24-48 hours with 2-4 couples looking for some serious adventure!
When the small green shrubbery you're seeing dries up and dies, it breaks away and moves across the landscape with the wind and becomes 'tumbleweed.' I once caught a good sized one in the Mojave, packed it in a large box, and mailed it to my little brother back east. My mother was NOT amused. LOL! Nevada is truly beautiful (and full of ghost towns, you should watch some videos of those, the history is fascinating). I spent most of my time up in the Northwest, above Reno, mining for opal in the Black Rock Desert (stunning!) and the Virgin Valley. I look back and treasure the time I spent in Nevada.
I could tell it was Valley of Fire from the thumbnail. I lived in the nearby town of Overton for a few years. Pro tip: go the back way to VoF through Lake Mead rather than Hwy 93. The entire area is stunning, and there's free camping up on the mesa south of Overton. A road trip up Hwy 93 through Lincoln County is beautiful. Home means Nevada!
Nevada is very arid .. but its really beautiful too. I couldn't live there ... but to view it ... its amazing.
I’m from Nevada and have been to these places many times, several times every year. But May to September is too hot!
Yep, we live just a 7 miles from the entrance of Valley of Fire. The area all around Valley of Fire is a tremendous visual experience. People stop in our little town from all over the world because the Valley of Fire can't be left out of a visit to the States.
I was born and raided in Las Vegas. Over the years, I moved away and back several times. We moved to Utah in 2021, and I have no plans to move back. Valley of fire is not as deep as the Grand Canyon but still beautiful. As kids, we would ride our bikes out to Red Rock all the time. Also close by is Mt. Charleston and Lake Mead.
I don't gamble, so my favorite pastime is the buffets.
Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada is about 1 hour north on I-15 from Las Vegas. They filmed scenes from "Star Trek • Generations" there. It's the film where Capitan Kirk died. They have a large herd of big-horned sheep there as well. There's a good fireworks store right next to the Interstate exit for the state park. Many Las Vegans buy their illegal good boom boom fireworks there for use on the 4th of July and New Year's celebrations. Mass civil disobedience. Red Rock Canyon is only a half-hour west of Vegas. Very beautiful place. Lots of good hiking and rock climbing there. Death Valley National State Park, California is only 2 1/2 hours west of Las Vegas. Don't forget the amazing Lake Tahoe is 1/2 in Nevada. Up in the northwest corner of the state on the border with California. The Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona is a 4 1/2 hour drive from Las Vegas. Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, Utah is only a 2 1/2 to 3 hours drive north from Vegas. Hoover Dam is only 45 minutes away. So as you can see, we have good stuff to see and do close by and not too far away. Americans don't think 3-4 hours of driving that far. That and all the fun things to do in Las Vegas. Great food too. If you like heat come and visit in the summer. I've lived in Las Vegas for nearly 24 years.
been to Nevada many times, never Las Vegas. Vally of Fire, Havasupai, the hikes are AMAZING! a must see Andre!
Yes. It’s incredible and considering my own traveling around the country there are many awe inspiring places. However, none of it surpasses the Grand Canyon! The Grand Canyon is breathtaking and puts our own existence into question.
I live in Nevada. People think "desert, dirt, ugly, etc", but areas of Nevada are VERY beautiful.
Lake Tahoe is also is Nevada/ California it’s a very beautiful place
Don't miss Lake Tahoe!
Mono Lake is in nearby California, on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains so easy to get to from Nevada and also very worth seeing for its "tufa" formations (Google it).
Even if you aren't into gambling or partying, Las Vegas makes a good gateway city to places like Zion National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon to the northeast or Death Valley to the west. To the north of Vegas is US 93- the Great Basin Highway. It's a very lonely drive with some old mining or railroad towns like Pioche or Caliente on the way to Ely. Ely/White Pine County has Great Basin National Park, the Nevada Northern Railroad Museum (where you can take an excursion train hauled by a 1909-built ALCo steam locomotive) as well as a few nearby state parks like Ward Charcoal Ovens.
Although I don't live in Nevada, one of my buddy's moved there a few years ago and I have gone up to visit a number of times- Valley of Fire may very well be one of the best State Parks in the USA (Custer State Park in South Dakota is also worthy of that title) and it seems like I see something new every time I'm there.
Although I was born in Pennsylvania, I have lived most of my life in southern Nevada. I live in Vegas about 4-1/2 to 5 miles from the strip. Which, believe it or not, as a local I rarely visit. The Valley of Fire is stunningly beautiful, but it is linked to several red rock formations throughout the desert southwest including Utah, Arizona, and parts of New Mexico and Colorado. The Valley of Fire not only has the beautiful red rock foundations, but also formations of white, lavender, rainbow, as well as red. Plus, there are the amazing formations such as Seven Sisters or Elephant Rock. I recently drove from Las Vegas to Durango Colorado, and some of the red rock formations were enough to take your breath away. a couple of years ago some friends and I drove to Arizona, and once again, the formations along with the beautiful Saguaro cacti is absolutely gorgeous. There are places that really make you question your own sanity because how could something look like this and not be from a science-fiction movie!
Thanks for such amazing comment. Nevada is incredible
It's stunning out there at night, so many stars!
Nevada has some great spots. Some very remote areas also. Stay on the trails if you go there. It is kind of a Hippie/Mystic town but Sedona is gorgeous.
The red rocks come alive at sunset when the light hits the rocks and they do look like fire, therefore the name.
Delta is a major airline, she’s slick with her Delta Platinum AMEX card promos
The southwest has a lot of sandstone landscape like this. Checkout the painted desert, arches national monument, Zion’s, Bryce Canyon, etc.
I've been camping at the Valley of Fire. It's an amazing place. I think they filmed some scenes for one of the Star Trek movies there.
I was just at Valley of Fire recently! The great thing about this part of our country are the little State Parks that are mindblowing. Also camped at a palce called Snow Canyon in Utah near Zion which was suprisingly awesome. Great vid!
I took a tour of The Valley of Fire last time I was in Vegas and it was def worth the visit. Beautiful and very interesting.
I live just outside Valley of Fire and visit it often as well as the off road are just North of it, Logandale Trails. Amazing areas. Lots of Big Horn sheep.
I've been to Nevada. But, I never knew about these beautiful red rock areas. I've been to Reno. And drove through Las Vegas. It all looked like plain desert to me. This part is beautiful though.
Andre, if you really want to see the American desert southwest, there really isn't a better place to fly into than Las Vegas. You can do the whole Grand Circle Tour (which includes the Utah Mighty Five National Parks) from there, you can do the Grand Canyon, Sedona, AZ from there, and Red Rock Canyon is literally on the western outskirts of Vegas itself. We took a trip out there in '93, and I thought I'd hate it at first. Thought it'd just be a bunch of boring old desert, right? No man... Probably one of the best trips we had ever taken, and we didn't even get up into the Mighty Five area. Didn't have enough time. I think we only had 7 or 10 days if I recall. You really need at least 3 or even 4 weeks to see all that stuff around there and take it all in. That was unfortunately my last big family vacation as I was heading into my 4-year university at the time, and gotten a campus job which required summer work so that was it for me for summer family vacations. Well, I should say I had gotten the job before the summer of '94, so yeah, family trips were done for me.
But yeah...if you're looking to experience the desert Southwest, use Vegas as your hub. Forget about Texas. Texas is not much more than a Midwestern state that's just in the south. Most of western Texas is flattish shrub desert. And central and eastern Texas is a bit more hilly, but as green as anywhere else. Just look at a Google Maps/Earth map and see where the colors change from yellow/orange desert to forested green in Texas. Now I'm not saying there isn't some beautiful scenery in Texas, but it's not as much as the further west you go. Only in the extreme southern areas of Texas along the Rio Grande River, around Big Bend (that southwestern bump in the Texas border with Mexico) is about only where the terrain gets interesting.
As a resident of Las Vegas it frustrates me when people say they have been to Las Vegas when the vast majority of them never leave ONE street in Las Vegas. If you are into nature, there is so much to see and do that doesn't involve sitting inside a casino on Las Vegas Boulevard. Even the city itself is a city of around 2 million people, yet the vast majority of tourists never leave the ONE street.
Visit Nevada for: "Prostitution is legal in 10 of Nevada's 17 counties, although only six allow it in every municipality. Six counties have at least one active brothel, which mainly operate in isolated, rural areas."
Yes, Delta is a huge airline.
Many argue the best, most reliable US airline.
My husband and I are from Missouri but, decided to get married in Las Vegas. My cousin lived in Vegas and after when we ere there he told us we needed to visit Red Rock Canyon. It was just outside Las Vegas and we knew nothing about it! So glad my cousin was there to tell us about it😂❤
Those were deer. Delta is one of the largest airline lines in the world. They are based in the largest airport in the world
in Atlanta, GA
You should see it in the winter. Once you get out of Vegas (20- 40 minutes) your in the snow zone
We live in Las Vegas, not too far from Red Rock Canyon......it's beautiful here, so much more to do and see besides the casino's.
I love living in Vegas. There’s always something to do and friends/family visit the strip at least once a year. Cost of living is cheap, no state tax to pay… I’m living! 🤣🎉
Simply put "Home Means Nevada" is the State Song and you should listen to it. We're a different kind of genial and friendly with a wonderful varied landscape to boot. When you're at home, everyone is a family guest and Nevadans take that to heart. I encourage and welcome you to travel all over the State meeting people along the way.
Most of what I've seen of Nevada was desert. Never been to central Navada.
Middle? There’s nothing there!

@@Mudbug2000 There was gonna be something there: The national storage site for long term nuclear waste. Also, there was something there: a testing site for nuclear bombs.
Theres several nice areas that never gets shown in these videos. Google pictures of Steel Creek in Ponca Arkansas and also google pictures of Lost Valley in Arkansas. These are really beautiful places thats pretty close to each other. And they dont get the credit they deserve. Northwest Arkansas is very beautiful.
She sure is pushing that credit card😂😂😂😂
I wondered why she started off trying to flex by mentioning her platinum Delta AMEX lol It was beautiful scenery, though. I've been to Nevada twice but it was many years ago.
It's called sponsorship. She's getting paid.
@pauladuncanadams1750 Yes, that's what my comment was about... Initially, it didn't register to me but later in the video, it was obvious that she was being paid be Delta and or AMEX
I live about 4km from Red Rock Canyon. NV is more than just Las Vegas- but be sure to drop some money here. Keeps my taxes down )
She makes a couple good points
I live in Las Vegas, there's a lot of parks within a few hours
In the areas where Nevada has cool things to do it is really cool but in the areas where there is nothing there is a lot of nothing. On Interstate 80 past Winnemucca there is a mine that is the lone tree mine because for miles that is the only tree you see. Hwy 50 is a very desolate road aka the loneliest highway in America. Lake Tahoe is better on the Nevada side in most places. Pyramid Lake, Highway 395 north of Reno, there is beauty everywhere if you can slow down to enjoy it
From this channel I get to see places in my own country that I'll probably never get to see for real.
USA is very beautiful! This is why most Americans do not travel abroad. Our country is so huge it’s difficult to experience it in one lifetime. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
Looks like something out of a Dr. Seuss comic.
Las Vegas has many hundreds and hundreds of fantastic restaurants and some of the best buffets in the world. You can find all you can eat lobster tail and all you can eat filet mignon and Prime rib. You name it you can get it in Las Vegas! ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻👍🏻
Las Vegas has a forested mountain an hour northwest of town with a ski resort in winter.
The largest wildlife preserve in the continental U.S. just 45 minutes north.
Valley of Fire State Park one hour northeast.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area 45 minutes east.
Hoover Dam 45 minutes southeast.
El Dorado Mining Ghost town one hour south.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area 30 minutes west
Death Valley National Park 2 hours west
Grand Canyon west rim 2 hrs east
You should do a series where you learn information and and see some sights for all 50 U.S states
Instagram makes me sick to my stomach. Go wherever you want, and take the time you want to see what you want. These soulless people deserve not one second of attention.
American road trips are the best! ( yes, this means Canada too) Get in a vehicle and just RIDE! You will find amazing things! Everywhere!
Rare road trip I recommend: Valdez to Fairbanks Alaska.
Love Nevada but Vegas will never get another dime from me.
Looks like Mars!❤
I wish videos were longer
If you like this video, check out the Red Rocks of Sedona Arizona.
Her videos are beautiful!
Soon Andre will hopefully realize to stop picking states which are " more beautiful than the rest" and see that the whole Nation is Uniquely beautiful in their own ways😊.
I WANT TO YOU TO SEE OUR COUNTRY SO BAD, BRO!
Las Vegas,NV for now. A lot of open Federal Government Land.
Can you do Kentucky if you have I live in Kentucky and it’s a good state

I enjoy watching you learn about new places but these Instagram influencer guided tours are hard to watch.
😂😂 “oh their goats” 😂😂 ah no they weren’t goats those were Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep “goats” 😂😂😂😂
U want beautiful u should see some videos of Bryce Canyon Utah The “Pink” sand dunes are a must too - look up
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park ( Kane County, Southern Utah)

I lived in Vegas for 39 years. Actually just moved to Utah a couple months ago because Californians have ruined my once beautiful home state. Red Rock and Valley of Fire are of course still beautiful. Vegas however, has become ridiculously expensive and is no longer a safe place to be. It’s been overrun with drugs, crime, homeless camps, gang violence, etc. Thank you California. We can always count on you to destroy everything.
What i personality deduce from seeing the communities all around tge southwest is that climate "change".. lolol.. isnt a white american male responsibility. Lots of communities lived in areas that no longer have residents.. most likelt because not enough water to survive. Now.. i will accept that illness and disease probably had a terrible effect on native americans, but these southwest cultures disappeared way before europeans came to the area. It is beatiful!! And native peoples are smart folks.. there is a long history, but unfortunately they had no written lainguage so we could know what the hyroglyphes meant. But they are all over southwest area.. there are many near me here in Phoenix AZ.
