    Ingredients 蛋糕材料:
    4 egg yolks (粒蛋黄)
    40g caster sugar (幼糖)
    80g corn oil (粟米油)
    80ml pandan juice (班兰汁)
    120g plain flour (面粉)
    1/2 tsp baking powder (小匙发粉)
    4 egg whites (粒蛋白)
    1/8 tsp cream of tartar (小匙塔塔粉)
    80g caster sugar (幼糖)
    Filling 班兰咖椰材料:
    500ml coconut milk (浓椰浆)
    1 pack of hoen kwe flour (85g) (包白色印尼綠豆粉(85g))
    1/2 tsp salt (小匙盐)
    170g caster sugar (幼糖)
    4 tsp agar - agar powder (小匙燕菜粉)
    4 tsp instant jelly powder (小匙即溶遮哩粉)
    600ml pandan juice (班兰汁)

    Thank you for your recipe. However the recipe is kinda sweet. For anyone that prefer not so sweet version, do decrease the sugar from 40g to 20g, then 80g to 65g. 170g to 150g.

    Dear all, ingredients measurements are always written in English & Chinese on the description box of every video. Her methods are always well presented in the video. Her recipe books are written in both Chinese & English and I reckon those books are worth to buy as gifts or own use! Happy baking & steaming!

    Made it tonight following exactly the measurements. Didnt go as planned
    - taste wise spot on
    - coconut milk gets very thick after adding mung bean flour
    - pandan liquid gets thicker halfway adding coconut mixture
    - custard sets almost immediately before i manage to properly spread into every layer
    - final product i get split jelly and cake :(

    i just did following this recipe ..it taste fantastic ..but i reduced 20g of the each sugar volume or else it will be very sweet ..thank you for the recipe ;)

    4 tsp agar agar powder +4 tsp instant jelly powder can replace with 8 tsp agar agar powder?

      No, liquid measurement for both are different. Also, texture of jelly is wobbly compared to agar which is a bit crunchy.

    I bake the cake last night, cool it inverted. Unmould it kept it in a cake box thinking of layering it the next day.
    How come the top is a bit damp & the dome has sunken a little, not flat. I used a removable base cake pan.h
    Can u give some advice on this? Or is it better to bake this cake & use it the same day?
    I followed your temp guide exactly but my cake has a very brown side not pale as yours . Any comments on this ?

    Hi teacher, i was made my pandan layer cake, its really nice. Thanks for the video. But i need your advise, i bought the heon kwe flour in green colour pkt, not like your blue colour pkt. Is there any different? Cos after i made the cake, the jelly bit soft. Kindly do advise. Tq

    After taking out from the fridge and unmould, the bottom pandan layer stick in the pan when I invert upside down and feels not easy to unmold. Can I know what is the reason? Is it because not put in the fridge long enough?

    Nice. Want to try this. Hope it is successful. I followed the net to make Kuih talam, kuih lapis and kuih Ubi bingka. All failed.. So sad. I followed step by step. Afraid to fail again. Do u have good sure successful recipe for kuih talam n kuih lapis? Thank you

    Can anyone please help? My cake turned out fine but it didnt rise as high as the video , thus can only cut 3 layers. Not just this recipe, there are also RUclips recipes which i followed, and my cake just couldnt rise as high as the bakers' even though the cake's texture and taste were all good. If someone can just enlighten me.

      蛋糕旁边回缩很多是baking powder 放太多,我之前也是这样

    How come the side of your sponge cake is not brown ? Also do u invert the cake to cool completely before u remove it from the pan.

    I try your pandan cake recipe , the sponge cake turn out beautiful. I have not tried layering cake with the kaya but I 'll do so the next time I bake this cake. Do u use the same cake pan when u layer the kaya with the cake? Will appreciate your advice, thanks.

      顶部回缩是正常的,如果旁边回缩的话就是baking powder 放太多

    Thank you for your quick reply. Like to know how come the sides of your cake is not brown? Did u shave the side off before you layer the cake.

      YS Leong the side of the cake is not brown is because the oven temperature, bake at 140°C for 50 minuets and then use 160°C for 10 minuets

      Lauren Puah is 8 inch ,if you don't have instant jelly powder, then no need to put

      Cheng Pek Gan 咖椰层的糖可以减20-30g,如果不想吃甜的

    我做的傍边没倒入kaya, kaya 只倒上面层(第一层),第二,三层可是,一切就会分离,请问你知道为什么会这样呢?是 kaya层太浓稠了吗?但不浓稠kaya层又会容易渗入蛋糕体,要如何解决这问题呢?谢谢
