      If you ever come about making a video, I''m actually interested in hearing your relationship with the #14 truck team. I do recall in a past video of you being in the truck as a kid. However, did you ever tried to make an effort into pursuing a racing career?
      I know it was always a dream of mine and unfortunately in my case I didn't 'know' people within' the sport or even had the resources of how to get there. The 90s popularity made it difficult and hell I never was able to find a way to even get a garage pass...

      I just recently discovered you and your RUclips channels and I did wonder, why 42? Now I learn that you were a hockey player as well! Hockey and Nascar is something I have been passionate about ever since I can remember! Hockey is like a religion where I come from in Newfoundland, Canada but for some reason my brother and I were huge fans of stock car racing, especially Nascar. I'm loving your content, keep up the great work and I wish you great success going forward! :-)

    42 was the number I were from Pop Warner Football all the way through High School. Years later all 3 of my sons were 42 in football as well. So now it's a legacy number in my family.

  • @firstnamelastname8060
    @firstnamelastname8060 Год назад +6

    The number 42 has been an absolute icon in my life since 1977 when I was 13 years old. I went to the circle track races and I liked the look of the 42 on the orange car with white number, outlined in black. I had no idea at the time that the driver lived 5 houses away from me. I walked there in 2 minutes, literally. Right around the corner. Became friends with the driver. The number 42 comes up extremely often in my life, in the strangest ways, at the strangest times. I told this to other people, and they're like "OMG, you're right, me too!". Case-in-point, this video popped up randomly on my feed. No reason. I had to click on it! I did a project for art school in 1985 that was nothing but "42's" that I found in magazines, photos, street signs, you name it. I still have it. I have a huge box full of 42's that I found throughout the decades. All sorts of items with 42 on them. I was on a bike ride last week and this homeless guy was coming toward me on a junky bike and he had made a sign and put it on a box on the front of the bike that said "RANDOM 42". I almost shit my shirt. I'm tellin' ya, that number pops up everywhere I go, and this video randomly popping up on my feed is proof.

    Geno fan here also. Also, as someone who lives in SWPA, I've said forever that being a NASCAR fan in Steelers land is the loneliest fandom ever. I used to live in southern Maryland and would see the haulers whenever they were heading to Dover or new Hampshire or Pocono, while riding the school bus. Ugh I miss those days, I had NASCAR friends back then, only ever had one in the last twenty years. I was and forever always will be a Davey Allison fan, so i drew a lot of Halvoline 28's growing up. I had a Davey snap tite monogram kit that i loved to death.

    Very cool story!
    We all have a certain number we used in years past, mine used to be "4x" during my crazy-ass desert and MX racing times some 45 or 50 years ago as a fearless teenager and young adult.
    I remember when Kevin Harvick was introduced in '01 as the "replacement" driver for Dale Earnhardt(no one could ever replace Dale), and his first words were, "I'm not Dale Earnhardt, but I will do my best to fill some big shoes." We all saw how hard he drove to prove himself after Dale's untimely death and all. His number was 29.
    Thanks so much for explaining all this to us, much appreciated, Mitch! You & Logan keep up the great work in both your channels! There with you!

    I'm equally impressed with your knowledge of hockey!
    Personally all I knew was racing from ages 8-21. Once Dale past away I end up watching baseball which little to my knowing at the time, Dale Earnhardt had some sort of relation to the mlb team I was watching. (Mind you he was a Atlanta Braves fan).
    Well you see Dale bought a minor league ball club known as the Kannapolis Intimidators (single A) which is tied to (single A+) Winston-Salem which is tied to triple-A Charlotte Knights which is tied to double-A Birmingham which ultimate leads to the Chicago White Sox. Good thing you didn't play baseball because you probably would get lost going through the ranks.
    As for personal favorite numbers, it's #34 and there are many ties to that as well in racing, both locally and nationally.
