Man you teased us a few videos back with a glimpse of the wrap. It looks freaking awesome! Can't wait to see it in the sun. I had no idea there was vinyl that would allow air to vent through it. Learn something new every day. This car is really coming together. Thanks for your hard work in finding the time to make these videos.
Everything you said about testing gaining familiarity with the car before the first race at the start of the season is the logical and smart way imo to approach it. BTW, you also knocked it out of the park on the look of that car. seen some of the pictures from those races and your car will defiantly stand out and be the best looking car out there. Look forward to seeing how you fair with the racing as well as more videos from you and Logan.
That color scheme is great...love the look of the car and its nod to both the Escalade (the teal color) and the #29 car. And such a smart call to do your offseason testing and getting familiar with the car before you race it. I've got projects I've rushed out there for different things and they just weren't finished to my satisfaction or to the best they could have been - and that's just "look fancy" stuff, not go-fast stuff.
I love all the stuff that you're doing and I wouldn't mind seeing Logan tear apart her car and put it back together. You found yourself a gem. I love that you're being very supportive of your significant other. 💯💯💯💯 I would love to see more of your race car when you do testing with the car.
I've seen a bunch of time lapse videos of the wrap process. They leave Soooooo many unanswered questions. This video was great! The car came out awesome!!! Can't wait for the merch!!!
I haven't even watched 30 seconds, but I've waited MONTHS for this! Great to see this done. Edit: Just watched it through, love the choice of the scheme, and the detail around the spikes on the #42 is absolutely perfect. Love how it cuts correctly. Lesser designers would've just used the original base made for the #29, whoever did your graphics deserves a raise. Also love your own attention to detail on it. The blue base wrap gives me strong vibes to the car Kevin ran in the shootout in 2003 that was red with black numbers.
You have a great eye! The color scheme was referenced from the red shootout car with my teal swapped for the red! Also the number cuts to match the 42...I worked with Brian on that to make sure it was perfect. He had it nailed down after only a couple revisions. When people do a throwback to that scheme they never do that part correctly and almost never replicate the scheme with total accuracy. I wanted to make sure I did.
WOW! Just WOW!... you're nailing it brother, all I can say.... love your channel. As always, cheers from Canada. Long live the Busch series era... Hell Ya!!!

What a informative video on how much work goes into the "wrap". Keep these kind of videos coming. People need to know how much planning and work goes into this entire process. Yes get used to the car. I was the engine builder for a CASCAR team between 1993 - 1998. We did not have big sponsors. The owner of the car owned a body shop, we were lucky that the track had testing days where you could test the car. I just put a spare engine in the car. We did this to get the chassis sorted out first. Get the car to handle first and then put the race engine in, that way you have a base to work from. We had no computers, only a clip board and every change was written down including comments made by the driver after each change. By doing this before hand we knew that "off the trailer" we could be competitive. This progress is going to be fun to watch.
This is amazing! As a model builder I'm used to butting out individual decals and what not besides the Vermillion decals for the SalvinosJr Petty models. I've watched videos of teams doing this but this video is the most in depth. Great looking cars I miss those and the 90s luminas!!
Awesome!! I have experience in bodywork and painting from helping my dad build street rods the 30 years or so. This is very interesting and looks fun. I wish I could help someone and learn to do it. Thanks for posting.
The wrap looks great. Thanks for sharing. I never watched the process before. I like your effort to help Logan with her Mustang time. That's a basis for a great friendship. Have a great Thanksgiving.
The patience that takes to wrap a car I couldn't do it by myself that's for sure I have helped wrap a few and it wore me out hats off to those guys who are pros
Love the way the car looks! Can’t wait to see the contingency decals on to complete the look for that era. Instead of the Winston/Nextel decal u can use that Stapleton42 Winston style decal as a cool subtlety
Many years ago, when I was working in the cup series, the team had me take a car to Hollywood for a movie premiere. The next day, I had to meet up with people from Disney and other studios and talk to them about the car and the function of any components they had questions about for the movie and sketches they was drawing on the backside of a hotel parking lot. After that was completed, me and one other person had to wrap the car in the primary paint scheme in 25 mph win. And back then, wraps weren't as forgiven as I'm sure they are now. Once again, great video, content, and the car look great. Can't wait to see what kind of contingency stickers you add for the finishing touches.
I think everything you’ve done here is incredible. Me and you have the same interest. You had a vision and went and got it. Congrats on the success brother.

And you knocked it out of the park with the colors and wrap design. The car looks sick brother can’t wait to see ya race. As always thank you for the video Mitchell and Logan.
The vinyl wrap deal is interesting. As usual the product continues to improve and the sticky issues are resolved by the manufacturer. Watching a pro work is always educational, no substitute for experience. Your plan for racing is solid, learn the car and practice. Every time you turn a lap you gain experience. I began by autocrossing many years ago. Then I began doing timed track events in cars I built. I attended an SCCA racing school to get my ticket and began vintage racing my Corvair's. That first actual race on track (At Road Atlanta) with all the other cars was eye opening, especially getting used to traveling at high speeds with a bunch of other cars just inches off your car and hoping they knew what they were doing which, as I discovered was not always the case. Having a faithful partner is also key. If it were not for my wife I could not have done what I did. Looking forward to seeing you on track with your stocker.

Don't drive yourself insane with the crazy details on the wrap. She's not gonna look that way after your first event 😂. Looks badass. It's hard to appreciate how beautiful fresh stockcars look unless you see them in person. Do as much testing as you can with this. Love the colors. Logan did a fantastic job as well. That guy who wrapped it is like my mom at Thanksgiving. Takes more time to tell what needs done rather than do it. What year is that car again? Glad we could meet in Indy. I had one of several of your shirts on. I hope to order more soon. I want a shirt of your car Now! 😎🤟❤️

Do you have a channel that talks about your results in the series? I looked up "Grand National Super Series" but all I found were the top five finishers in each of the 2024 races. Beautiful wrap. I want to learn to wrap mine too.
I have not raced the car yet I have been building it for the last year. Actually just posted the first build series video on the main channel yesterday! My first race should be in September and we will do videos about those races.
@@stapleton42extra I will look forward to see how things go for you. It looks like you've done some drag racing, but is this your first time racing on a circle track or road course?
great video. i really enjoyed is. my suggestion is to get you an iracing rig and irace as much as you can to learn about racing. ive been iracing for some 3.5 years and have gone from rookie to A class racing and it gets tough as you move up but you certainly learn priceless lessons in racing. setups and car feel. tire management. its endless. trust me. plus you get wrecked lol. That’s TEAL? Wow.. looks Icey metallic blue on here. Sweet ride though. I love watching cars getting wrapped. Those colors look badass in that Harvick design.
Sure is!
Reminds me of the color of my Subaru Impreza four or five years ago
YES SHOP CONTENT 🥳🥳
Great video, I always wondered how they did that, one question for you, I haven’t watched the older videos on your race car yet, but i definitely will, who’s race car was it when it raced?, keep up the good work, love your channel…..
11:30 I said Ted Musgrave at the same time you did! The number 16 car, I remember giant die casts of that car at Big Lots. It looks really awesome man!
Love it! Keep it coming!
I hope it's going to sound like the old yellow Kodak sterling Marlin car. Boom tube with a X-Pape 🏁
Gotta say, car is looking awesome! Great content too.
Appreciate it!
That’s awesome 😮! I wish I could help work on a race team
great video. i really enjoyed is. my suggestion is to get you an iracing rig and irace as much as you can to learn about racing. ive been iracing for some 3.5 years and have gone from rookie to A class racing and it gets tough as you move up but you certainly learn priceless lessons in racing. setups and car feel. tire management. its endless. trust me. plus you get wrecked lol. Larry
That turned out super good!
Thank you!
On camera it looks miller lite blue but in person the color is so different. Looks so good in person on the truck so i can only imagine
I am glad you know what it actually looks like!
@stapleton42extra saw it at sick week and got a good photo but I couldn't get my camera to expose it right either. It's absolutely a have to see in person color.
I'm looking the idea of Kevin Harvick's Quicksilver with blue and I love it Mitchell and I totally agree need to learn video production to help costs with the race car and I get it my friend. I just keep focusing on my goals and I am still working on attending Stocks for Tots event later this year and I hope to you both would be truly amazing!
I love seeing posts on everything with nascar or Motorsports related every week if possible
We are set to be there this year!
Famous line from a movie said it best mitch. "Let the fly come to you weedhopper" patience. Adulting aint easy
