I love the fact that he called out the fake energy drinks. The water in energy drink cans is lame af. Trying to trick kids into thinking they are actually out there chugging RedBull. Big Dave keeps it real
@@MrEp5 I don't have a problem with anyone getting paid however they can get paid. We've all gotta eat. Dude. Gravette is the man. This just reassures my choice that Gravette is the man. Hes got that talent and lifestyle that exudes a calm certainty that everything is gonna be ok.
Super inspiring to hear him talking about how gnarly his injuries have been but yet still pushing through and back skating. Also openly talking about mental health issues.. Helps a lot of kids out when pros they look up to are talking about some real life shit. Much love to Gravette and nine club for this one.
all he does is complain about injuries, so many skaters slam as hard or harder then him and they don't throw tantrums and pretend every bone in their body is broken after every trick attempt. Hes a gnarly skater but his attitude would make him no fun to be around its embarrassing.
Can’t fall asleep to this one and let it play out... Love Gravette. I remember his sponsor me tape in a strange notes DVD I had from a mag, Billy Idol and skinny jeans.
Crob: ok so then what happened? Grav: ok so basically I was skating and went for the trick. then I just died. I'm dead and they just bring me into a doctor and they use black magic to resurrect me. so basically I've been dead like three or four times Crob: wow. amazing. so then what? Grav: I went under a waterfall to beat one out.
Heavy episode!! As I get older, my body aches more often from skating. But hearing this dudes stories, I'm so freaking thankful that my joints dont dislocate like his.
Ive been going out and skating with my long time skate homie. And its rough man. I can still land my tricks super clean but even when I land them. My joints in my knees and my lower back hurt for a whole week after that. It sucks I want to skate how I used to. My homie can still shred. I dont know how guys like Andrew Reynolds can still skate big obstacles at his age
David is such a chill dude. It really bums me out hearing all the struggles he goes through just to keep skating. Then even the stuff he goes through trying to sleep. Like it seems like it's so hard to just have an escape without somthing happening
watched his "and now" part when I was 12... Now I'm 20 and still a fan... this show helps all the kids learn ab their favorite skaters thanks chris rog and kelly!
Always was a BIG fan of the Stache’Man!!!! Dude never caught a break w the injury bug. But hope he stays healthy so he can keep ripping! Great listen..
So much respect for this dude .. the fact that he skated putting his hip back in place 4 and 5 times is nuts .. my shoulder always comes out of socket .. makes me feel like a puss lol
All the Nine Club interviews I heard so far (Mike V, Steve-O, and Gravette in particular) were really interesting, very intimate and had an excellent flow. The interviews give a weird (in a good way) feeling of having listened to the story of a close friend that I've known and loved for most of my life. Congrats to everyone involved!
Dude, I had the worst day and I swear... One year or more that I root for this interview to pop up on your channel secretly. Thank you guys!! This show is a part of my life and is always entertaining and occupies my mind. You are all very nice, dedicated people. Success on the upcoming chapters of this journey!
I have always wanted to see him on here and glad he is finally on here. I've followed this man's career since 2006 maybe 2010 or earlier. His a nutty man but always has fun doing his nutty stuff. Thank you for having him. Hopefully he comes back on sometime soon. And yes King of the Dong was hilarious. Hope he does King Of The Road sometime soon again.
Great guest again dudes, David makes my injuries feel like nothing! Please please do what the fans want and do a Nine club with Chris and one for Roger, we all need to hear your stories as well. Awesome job guys :-)
As a bmx'r and skater, I loved this one! Thanks guys! I find it hard to ride now, had some mad shoulder dislocations and surgeries, this was a great episode to relate to.
Best episode so far, your production has been getting better and better. Thanks for taking this idea and after 3 years having awesome sponsors and having the guests let themselves just talk without rushing along with questions. Good job guys.
That hip dislocation story was heavy stuff. I'm (of course) a skater, but I also work in the field of orthopedic surgery. Dave's a true trooper. Big up. Many people would've just given up. But I guess we skaters know it's not that easy. :)
He's such a humble and bad ass human being. I've had the honor of just shooting the shit with him and Navs at their Creature Van once at a skate comp. They were both such chill guys, and they even hooked it up with a signed copy of Hesh Law. He'll always be One of my Favorite Skaters 💀🔥
Someone in some video said Gravettes evolution to scruffy outdoorsman is one the most fun things in skateboarding tales .. they ain’t wrong. Dude is just a dude. I appreciate his honesty. I feel him. I know all that. Guy speaks to me man
45:21 "What is dead may never die. It just gets sore" Damn, Dave has really felt the sort of pain that makes me scared of skating outside of my confidence zone. I'll pretend I didn't see this
I’ve always admired David gravette as a skateboarder. I am from the Pacific Northwest and I remember watching him in my younger days rip up this skatepark I used to go to every weekend. Didn’t see him there all the time, but sometimes. He has a very gnarly style that I think goes unnoticed in a lot of skaters. He’s had a lot of injuries and I honestly think it’s just bad luck. Some of these skaters who are a lot older than him have been super hard on their bodies with not as many injuries. The guy was born to skate, it’s just his body hasn’t been good to him. I hope the best for him and I’m extremely happy that he’s been blessed with a career in skateboarding. I can’t imagine what it’s like to try and make it as a skateboarder.
Crob the shrink love the content unfortunately we need too hear these depressing storys, very much appreciate you staying so level headed. Shout out to Kelly and crumb aswell for staying humble through out all the non sense conversations. 🙏
Yes! Never say one more time! I’m actually probably needing shoulder surgery I ride bmx and I’m a tad nervous about the procedure as well as how long the recovery will be.

As popular as Dave is I can't believe he doesn't have a shoe sponsor. He deserves to have a good one. Would love to see him on Vans.
