This part remains untouchable to this day. No one has been able to do anything anywhere near close in terms of creativity, style, and form. David Gravette is someone who took something that was built on creativity and continue to build based on creativity. Skateboarding doesn’t have to be one way and he showed us that. he inspired us to always keep it fun and he doesn’t receive enough appreciation for this part, but we here at Stoners Paradise will always hold and cherish David Gravette, for all the sacrifices, and paths that he’s made for skateboarders who are coming up and many of the skateboarders today to be themselves. So we say Thank You To David Gravette!🙏🙏🙏🖤

I remember in 2006 or 2007 I was 17 or 18 working in a local skate shop and we started getting strange notes videos in to give away to customers and play in the shop and I saw David Gravettes sponsor me video. He was wearing duffs and skating to Billy Idol. His part blew me away. I loved how he skated street and bowl and vert. It wasn’t that common at the time and he instantly became my favorite skater and creature was just coming back and their hesh style fit me so they quickly became my favorite board co. Man those were the days.
my friend hunter and I would come home from school and watch this part everyday. I dont skate anything like David but it still the sickest part to me. Thank you for inspiring me so many years ago!
The whole malto curse thing is hilarious. Funny how as skater we make up these bad omens/reasons why we can’t do certain thing at a certain time. Def been there.

Gravette's the man!! So unique in so many ways! And that video part is amazing!
For 2007 the trick selection in this part is superb (not to say it wouldn’t be now), and the filming really is good. Also the editing is so so so good it really makes this feel special!

Dude. Transworld videos? Modus Operandi. Feedback. Sight Unseen?! Transworld is the GOAT for life changing, GAME changing, day changing magazine skate videos…I hope they bring that back. Those videos wrote the game on epic skate movies. Great songs. Great art. Great parts. A must for any pre skate sesh. ALL their videos ..but they need to bring it back!

I remember meeting Dave in Newcastle - Australia. We took them to some spots around Newy. He ollied this Double set first go in Charlestown - just killed it.
This part and whole video really influenced me and my peers for a long time.

This is the part that really motivated me to take my skateboarding to bigger levels.
Still hold true to one of my favorite parts because of how it made me feel as a kid aspiring to be good.
Bro watch his skating for spirit skate shop. He use to be sponsored in our skate shop where I live and the dude even as a kid fuckin killed it. There’s a spirit skate shop tour video with the team and David. David by far was the best on the team.

When I was in 8th grade going into high school in the summer my friends mom paid for us to go to element skate camp and we were the creature kids. Both of us made mini creature boards in arts and crafts, I still have mine. Anyways they showed and now to all the kids one night and so many kids were going crazy over David gravettes and Richie Jackson’s part. It was such a fun time.
This was the summer of 08.
Been following this dude since I read an article about him in The Skateboard Mag while i was taking a shit in like 2008. His career has been so sick to watch.

I met Malto at SLS Chicago. I felt like he wanted me injured. Also he's taller than I imagined. Creature was the shit in the 90's, btw. Special place in this dumpy old skaters heart.

that 50-50 at 4:39. i grew up in this town. its Fallbrook, CA. super small, right next to oceanside so no one goes there. the only other person whos hit the rail in any capacity was a bike who basically did the same 50-50 bunny hop over the wall. But that spot is not amazing, Its absolutely massive, the runup is rough as fuck. the rail is massive, the ollie he did over that wall still seems impossible. but they added another handrail on that bottom wall so i dont that will ever be done again. That shit is insane. id go look at that spot every once in awhile for fun and just wonder how tf anyone could ollie over that bottom wall
