Thanks for visiting Philomath, David. We hope to have you back at the groundbreaking of our new Grindline skatepark in a couple years. Just finished the prelim design and we're preparing to submit a funding grant to the state next year. We might use your video of our park to help make the case for a new park. Thanks! See you in a couple years.
What a legend! Props for showing up. Seriously though, on a positive note, the best thing about this park is that it can be used as the start point for the C2C trail.
I somehow missed it on my first watch. Read so many comments about it that I had to go back and check it out. Indeed super sick. Don’t understand how he even came up with the idea to do that!
My best friend and I went to city council meetings to get this park, even presented a cool design. The contractor ended up using their 10 year old's design instead. This is literally a park designed by a clueless 10 year old, not the older experienced skaters that actually helped get the park approved. Silver lining is they built the Corvallis park soon after across street from my house. Dad is the closest house to the Corvallis park so the philomath park fiasco was easier to forget. Still a crying shame.
The pacific northwest tends to produce that feeling, especially during winter months. If you stop by the redwoods this time of year it feels like your in fucking Narnia
These videos with Dave are the only skate videos I can enjoy that aren't all cringe and a bunch of dudes trying to act all serious like fashion models. This is what skateboarding is about, such an amazing skater
Every time I see these I'm reminded Gravette is no doubt one of the most skilled and creative dudes on a board, Its actually unbelievable how good he is lol
Grew up skating with David in Issaquah. Lost contact with him around 09 I think. Cool to see him still doing his thing. I remember he rolled up to a 17 stair rail and over crooked it second try. Blew my mind. He’s nuts. He also fs lipped a 15 rail with skate stoppers on it. Keep killing it, David! I miss pumping around the OG Issaquah park with you and Peyton!
Thanks for putting this on the map. The city of Philomath now has moneys set aside to redo this park. It's going to be an awesome one, I'm excited for the kids!
I've always had a problem with skaters bitching about bad skateparks. Treat it as you would a street spot and be creative. Bad park Dave shows how to do that. Probably my favorite youtube series. Keep em coming!
I have the opposite problem. I have an issue with pedestrians bitching about skaters skating street spots and telling them to go skate in a skatepark. Meanwhile the skateparks are on the edges of the city and look like this.
The only issue I have with them is that they're only fun and creative if you're already a good enough skater to not need a park. Skateparks should be the safer place to learn in a structured environment before hitting the streets, imo
Yeah bro you’re missing the point. Sure this place offers fun challenges but skateparks are supposed to be perfect obstacles for you to get good on so you can then take it to the streets. Also if you were some 12 year old trying to learn how to skate how on earth would this park help you?
This is no joke... These worst skateparks of the pacific northwest resonate with me SO MUCH. Im from Oregon also, and grew up skating. These videos give me so much life for some reason. Maybe its you making the best of a pretty bleak situation, but these videos lift me up in ways few others can. Sounds cheesy but they mean so much. Hope you keep the series going, and I hope to see more soon. I also love it that theyre always in the rain or wet. Classic PNW. Can I give a request? More in Western washington please! I live on a boat in NW washington. Id love to see what other shitty parks are around here! Lol! Camas washington is my favorite episode so far. Thanks for making these bronson speed co!
I don't even skate anymore cause my knee will explode but I live for these Gravette vids of horrible skateparks and just watching him rip it up so casually.
I grew up in Philomath and this skatepark was one of the best things to come into town at that time. This is good work David, thanks for doing this it made me laugh in commiseration 😂
I can't believe I was just laughing at Gravette for falling on his ass try'n to focus his board! LOL!! He's so rad! And that miniramp is just like mine in my shed. Except I love my granite coping more!
I never want you to stop wanting to make these. Davey boy you’re been thru hell and back on that board. Biggest inspo to never stop skating bro. Life has gotten in the way for me but I swear one video of you skating I’m juiced rn brother
That center ramp reminds me of the type of shit I'd practice dropping in on before I ever dropped in (I should've just hit the 4ft qp). Those sharp painful transitions bring back memories.
That would be dope to pull up to the skate park and randomly see David there skating. There are so many cool diy skate parks here in Oregon. There is one up on Mt Hood i found while adventuring around across from ski bowl and doubles as a snow board spot in the winter.
I literally hit rewind on almost every trick cause my eyes just didn’t comprehend what I saw!! David is something else and one of my favorite skaters to watch! Between David and William Spencer!
Best series and skater for the company :P Its like bread and butter, keep it coming guys :) i could watch 100 of these please keep makin em but i wonder what else dave would be enjoy and be funny filming :P The one chasing the fish was hilarious and extremely well done :)
David is seriously one of the biggest talents ever in skating history, i wasnt expecting this level of thrashing on that concrete house they put in the middle of the skatepark 😳😱 not to mention how wet everything is, this is injury scary territory right there
Our family went about 6 years ago to ask the city council to put funding towards updating and prioritizing the skate park. We even got the city to vote on prioritizing the park, which has happened. Now it takes money….
More than anything, these videos just show how good Gravette is.
I came here to write the same thing. His ability to carry out what he imagines is impressive.
He's one of my favorites, he makes skating look fun when he's not having a meltdown
No kidding. He kickflipped into that bank right of the rip like he was landing on flat.
good way to put it. @@mattstanbridge
That shifty frontside wheel slide down the "pyramid" bank was crazy. Shows how damn great he really is. Very adaptive and versatile.

I wish this comment had more visibility! Thanks for investing in things that make communities better ❤
my city would never!
omg the city reacted
I wonder how much of the money you criminals will launder?
We need a budget ass contest series at parks like this, see skaters adapted to it.
Street league is no longer impressive, I need to see Yuto string together a 9 here
Great idea!!
😅 fax tho
How dope would that be
This is a great idea.
he actually crushed. That skatepark has been waiting a long time for this day
Well said, brother👌
Yeah! It’s takes its punishment! It does what it’s told!
That little power slide drop in was so sick
So stylish
Re-watched it like 5 times. Soooo slick
I somehow missed it on my first watch. Read so many comments about it that I had to go back and check it out. Indeed super sick. Don’t understand how he even came up with the idea to do that!
Literally came here just to say that
Exactly what I said out loud. So rad
between the banter and the shredding this is probably one of the most entertaining skate series ive ever seen. gravette's the man
No doubt

Dam
I don't blame you for sour feelings, even after 3 decades.
Corvallis park is pretty sweet.. a lot of people living down there though lately
Hey that 10 year old kid put almost a hour of his time into designing this park. Put some respect on his name.
More like 10 min of his time@@howiwatchvideos
Depressing, hilarious, and amazing all at the same time
My favourite series on youtube, gives me a comfortable nostalgic feeling that i cant quite explain
you just did
Agreed
The pacific northwest tends to produce that feeling, especially during winter months. If you stop by the redwoods this time of year it feels like your in fucking Narnia
@@joejoe2658smart ass joejoe 😂
there’s no obnoxious music or some fake personality being put on. Just pure vibes and skating
These videos with Dave are the only skate videos I can enjoy that aren't all cringe and a bunch of dudes trying to act all serious like fashion models. This is what skateboarding is about, such an amazing skater
Look around u. Skaters are fashion models
It was pretty cringe watching him try to dry that puddle with a paper bag tho
eh it's what he had@@ronaldraygun3591
truer words have never been spoken
Yes! It’s what skateboarding is actually like
I like how he gauged his speed in knots. We need more nautical jargon in skateboarding.
The rail was roughly a fathom long
petition to change frontside and backside to port and starboard
I did a starboard sternslide down that two fathom long railing.@@treyhayes101
Let's not forget a bow and stern slides/stalls
Came here mention I loved the nautical touch
Gravette is a legend. Love seeing these crusty old pieces of Northwest skate history. Thanks Bronson! 🤘🔥
I feel a little guilty that I derive such joy from watchin Gravette lose his shit over a trick. It's only bc I can empathize. Thanks for the vid!
It reminded me of the kinked rail video LMAO
I work with a guy just like this. Awesome, nice guy with these insane, over-the-top freak outs and it’s hilarious.
Every time I see these I'm reminded Gravette is no doubt one of the most skilled and creative dudes on a board, Its actually unbelievable how good he is lol
Please do more of these. I’ll buy a pack of bearings for every episode
I absolutely love these episodes with Dave. Just raw, fun, and funny.
Grew up skating with David in Issaquah. Lost contact with him around 09 I think. Cool to see him still doing his thing. I remember he rolled up to a 17 stair rail and over crooked it second try. Love how he always skate’s the crap out of these nasty parks and makes them look fun!!!
His ability to carry out what he imagines is impressive.
there is nothing this man can't skate. truly a wizard and genuinely funny as hell
Hijacking to say look up the old issaquah skatepark he grew up at and you’ll know why lol
This man has been one of my favs since his “And Now” part! V stoked to see this
This is literally my favorite skateboard series of all time. I hope they keep coming 😂
bad skateparks are good street spots in disguise. and vice versa
Thanks for putting this on the map. The city of Philomath now has moneys set aside to redo this park. It's going to be an awesome one, I'm excited for the kids!
Ah, I've missed this. Gravette is a true hero, suffering for our amusement.
Absolutely love David Gravette!! just an absolute treat of a human and a skater!!! 👌 so glad I grew up watching you and get to watch you now!
This series is why I will always ride Bronson
As soon as I get my skate warehouse settlement check...
Gotta check out Hobart Indiana's "skatepark." Shits a mini metal death trap on the corner of two extremely busy roads with no guard rails lol🤦♂️
Cant get enough of these
I’m not even a skater but I love this series. And watching skaters in general. So much talent
Like a wizard David is putting some magic onto those unique obstacles. Just awesome. :D
that sip and gulp was a crazy way to start this video
This kind of videos are too good, we need more.
Love the series and always blown away how much more Gravette can do that your average pro, dude is legit so good
What a great Promo for Creature Skateboards Tremendous strength at the end lol. that Unbreakable chinese wood lol
😂
“It’s probably so water logged.” That was great, lol.

the BEST skate series, the only series I have youtube notifications on for
2:19 so sick!
Hahahaha "What did you do to me? This is my body!"
The greatest thing ever said following those glorious stomps. 😂
"IM FUCKING GIVING IT EVERYTHING!"
Honestly if stuff like this existed in the streets it would get skated for sure.
Yeah that rail/ledge combo thingie looked unironically sick
This is no joke... These worst skateparks of the pacific northwest resonate with me SO MUCH. Im from Oregon also, and grew up skating. These videos give me so much life for some reason. Until you take a fall on that cheese grater concrete
I don't even skate anymore cause my knee will explode but I live for these Gravette vids of horrible skateparks and just watching him rip it up so casually.
This is amazing. You actually made it to Philomath skatepark lol born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon. Always hoped you checked this absurd place out.

That power slide at 2:17? I would die immediately 🤣
Dave is a piece of work-love the guy!
Love this series thanks for providing
i see david, i click
Need more videos like this!! BTW that Creature hoodie is fire 🔥
Somehow in all my travels looking for exactly this I missed this one. Im excited to head over to skate this in the spring!
This is by far the greatest series on RUclips.
Gravette is love, Gravette is life.
“Your just coming at the flat bar going 12 knots and you just zipped out like a friggin I don’t know dude!” 😂
I can't believe I was just laughing at Gravette for falling on his ass try'n to focus his board! LOL!! He's so rad! And that miniramp is just like mine in my shed. Except I love my granite coping more!
This is skateboarding. Seriously this series is amazing thanks everyone involved
Now they won’t fix it…. Look how much stuff you can do.
Designer/ engineer: I told you I knew what I was doing!
I have been going to that skate park for 20 plus years and never seen anyone skate it like that! So cool and fun to watch!
This series is the best skating series on RUclips currently
The nose manual on that weird corner bank and the revert down the the death pyramid were outrageous
Best person for the best series, just natural fun videos.
Dude the power slide down, bs flip, 360 bs flip line was borderline part worthy it was so impressive 😂
I love that this series is still going ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am glad that this man exists.
I never want you to stop wanting to make these. Davey boy you’re been thru hell and back on that board. Biggest inspo to never stop skating bro. Life has gotten in the way for me but I swear one video of you skating I’m juiced rn brother
The jig dance pre focusing the board was hilarious.
"one of those... manual-grinds" 😅
love the series man keep it up
One of the best RUclips series without a doubt
This video caused such a stir, that the town of philomath FINALLY started taking a new skate park seriously. So, thank you.
That center ramp reminds me of the type of shit I'd practice dropping in on before I ever dropped in (I should've just hit the 4ft qp). Those sharp painful transitions bring back memories.

best skate-series on YT. Gravette is the man
Watching you skate this forgotten park is sweet
To all the sponsors - please never stop supporting this man. He’s a treasure to skateboarding.
The worst skatepark is no skatepark. This one is decent if you bring a broom. 😂
Coolest highlight of the vid for me was giving lil man the high five that kid doesn’t know just how cool of a dude he met that day
I’ve been waiting this for months!!
Greatest series, love it. Long may they continue
Can’t get enough of gravette. Give me more!!!!
I don't know why these videos are so enjoyable...
Trying to dry up that puddle with a paper bag was something else
Gravette's a different kind of beast. He's the man!
