    Great tutorial; you explain VERY well :)
    Thank you for taking the extra time to make -and explain your penciled diagram. When I was making mistakes, this was what actually helped me see and "get" what I was doing wrong. I appreciate that you added this in!

    Hey Mikey. Thanks for your excellent tutorial. I made the pin stripe blanket for a gift and it's gorgeous and easy to make. By mistake I used a size N hook and loved the look...like soft spongee little love knots in rows. I'm planning to make one for myself ❤

I just wished Bernat Blanket Baby would arrive at our Michaels in Tennessee I want to start the toddler poncho. Ty to Mickey I can fold those types of ponchos. I’ll be making this blanket soon ❤️

    Thanks for the tip on looking for the stitch in the row below. I find the blanket yarn to be very hard to use because it is almost impossible to tell what stitch is in the row below! Because this pattern is so simple, using the blanket yarn might be OK..

    I really love this stitch. I use it often and for many different things. I have heard it called “The Grit” stitch. I have used it for blankets, sweaters and scarves. It is a very masculine stitch perfect for “his” wearables. My personal secret for this stitch...always go BIGGER with the hook. My current project is a sofa blanket in #2 fine yarn using a “G” hook. It produces a very drapery flexible fabric. I’d gravitate to a P or a Q hook for the Bernat blanket yarn.

    This is the same as a pebble stitch right? I find the ends of each row seem very uneven looking but I fumbled through it and made a very beautiful blanket. I fudged the turns....ended up doing 2 chains and turned at each end. Wish I knew how to share the photo! Thanks Mikey I do love your videos.💕

    I like this stitch but not the heavy yarns, huge hooks. Here's why, my hands can do small twists and turns but larger hooks require the entire hand to do the loop de loop. I don't want to crochet doilies but the popularity of the Easy, Quick project just because it's a big hook, big yarn doesn' t work for all of us.

      If you are talking about the first row, I find I don't lose stitches and the edging looks better when the afghan is done.

    Will this work with any kind of yarn? I would prefer to use wool. I really do not like the yarn you use here. It looks just awful. Plus, the edges are not straight. Your sample seems to slant inward on both sides.

    • @bilzarkz
      @bilzarkz 5 лет назад +16

      Since over 35 of your 46 favorite videos are of crocheting and knitting, people can assume that you already know another yarn would work. So why leave a comment so negative? It’s not necessary and unwanted. If you don’t like it move on. Go create drama somewhere else or get a better life to where you don’t have to try and tear down other people.
